The FALL Fab Fit Fun Box!

fallfinds

vest, blouse, crossbody bag, triangle studs, contour palette, lipstick, shopper, sweater, booties, necklaces, sweatshirt dress

My car thermometer told me it was in the 60’s yesterday morning, and that was rejuvenating to my SOUL. Fall’s here y’all.

I’ve been using my Clara BetterLifeBag to haul around stuff I need for the boys, and I really value the narrow but deep space of a tote like that. Plus I like that it doesn’t really look like a diaper bag now that I’m simply wrangling two toddlers!

I’ve been eyeing that contour palette by Rimmel for a few weeks, but I have TOO much makeup and almost cannot bear to purchase a single thing right now.

I’m such a neutrals gal, but I’m leaning towards introducing some warmer tops into the mix this fall. I love this sweatshirt dress from H&M and think it will be really cute with leggings.

So, when it comes to leggings, must one only wear knee high boots with them, or can you wear ankle boots? I don’t know these rules. Help a sister out, would ya?

More of my fall style here and here!

Ankle boot look great. I wear lularoe leggings and sometimes they can bunch at the bottom but you can just roll them up to make more a crop legging with a little touch of the ankle showing. You can also wear some cute leg warmers to over your ankle boots if your feet get chilled. Love your blog and read it every morning. ?

I found a great basic pair at Target this season, either look online or go in store!

Walmart also has some amazingly cute booties. You’d never guess they came from there.

DSW has some amazing booties that you can get for under $50!

Yes to booties!!!! Look at some already styled outfits, some booties look good with the leggings tucked in and some are better cuffed with a little ankle showing. The UD lipstick is a game changer!!! I adore the comfort matte texture. Feels like at creamy lipstick with a matte finish and no weird lipflaking from it being too drying on your lips. Love the blog so much one of my favorites to read every morning! ??

Yes to booties! Also, yes to you trying them first so I have the guts to try;)

I love a good sweater vest. So cozy without looking lazy. I also love that cross body bag, but at my season of life, a diaper bag is what it is. Had I known it would be my go-to, I would have registered for one that was both form and function rather than just function. Live and learn.

And I was just thinking about trying contouring if a reliable person gave me a heads up on an affordable one, so thanks:D

She did a review of, I believe, a maybelline contour pallet a while back. I bought it and I like it too! Totally affordable.

I just love your style! I’ve had my eye on the L’Oreal contour palette. I think your sister uses it? I’ve been using NYX blush in Taupe as a contour on my fair skin and it works pretty well. It’s a good cool tone!

I have it and really like it!

I live in leggings and ankle boots from now until spring, particularly for work. Depending on the boot sometime I cuff the bottom of the pant. FYI while I am normally Target all of the way, Walmart has black Jeggings and a slew of other colors with pockets on the back which make them look more like real pants. They are also pretty thick to keep you warm. I think they are faded glory brand.

I love that little saddle bag!! I just got those booties in the mail yesterday but they’re going back, they’re a little too narrow for my feet 🙁 Too bad cause they’re adorable!

The Firewall at work won’t let my go to your hyperlinks. What color Urban Decay lipstick is that? Thanks!

yes to the booties! ?? and you could also pair the leggings with a cute ballet flat. i love my tieks. initially they are an investment, but they fold for easy packing, are well made with a soft leather upper and sturdy leather sole , and are surprisingly comfortable! you should try them out. they come in so many fun colors, and neutrals too?. no connection to the company, just passing along something I ❤️.

Adorb Sole Society purse! Their website description is lacking — are there any slip pockets inside for a phone? The photos don’t tell either.

I’ve been eyeing that Rimmel palette as well – you’re not alone. I’m sure I’ll find an excuse to get it soon!

I would love to know what you favorite leggings are. I carry my weight on my lower half and tend to shy away from leggings but really want to wear them. Please share!!

If you are looking for something that is going to help hold you in and slim but still have the look of leggings, Spanx makes wonderful leggings. For a less expensive option, Hanes makes good ones as well. Their website has multiple color options as well.

The link to the sweatshirt dress takes you to some Target shirt. Just thought you’d like to know. 😉

Reply
Kate says · 10.11.16

I think you may be clicking on the wrong thing. The target shirt is listed as Sweater 🙂

Reply
April says · 10.11.16

Does the target shirt run true to size?!

Reply
Tate says · 10.11.16

The same thing is happening to me. The link in the list of items under the image takes me to H&M, but the link in the little paragraph takes me to Target.

Reply
Stephanie says · 10.11.16

I get the target shirt also, no H&M sweatshirt dress

Maggie says · 10.11.16

I have that Target sweater in two colors! It’s so comfy and can be either dressed up or down. Now I have my eye on the Target vest you posted. Looks super comfy and a great Fall staple.

Reply
April says · 10.11.16

Can you share if the top runs true to size?

Reply
Maggie says · 10.11.16

It did for me. I’m normally a medium in most of Target’s brands. I also wanted the sweater to be a bit more on the loose side, as opposed to fitted. I got it in a medium and love the way it hangs.

Ditch the leggings and wear a great pair of jeans, trousers, a comfy long knit skirt, or even a basic/stylish turtleneck dress. Then layer as the temp drops. But a great bag is always essential!

You can totally wear ankle boots!! I just wore some faux leather leggings with ankle boots (and rolled the leggings up – so you couldn’t see the roll) with a loose sweater (it was the BP Ribbed Mock Neck Pullover from Nordstrom and it is PERFECT (the link was really long so I didn’t connect it).

Loving the triangle studs! Can wear them with anything!

Silly question, what kind of socks, if any do you wear with your booties? I have been eyeing those, but sock questions have kept me from purchasing. If no socks, do your feet get sweaty? Maybe this is tmi, but a girls gotta know right?

Reply
Stephanie says · 10.12.16

I have these booties, and I’ve worn them without socks in Houston (with very warm ‘fall’ weather) with no problems or foot sweat 🙂

Ashley says · 10.12.16

ankle socks work, i wear the thin ones, and also live in Texas 😉

We bought and renovated our first home and had our first child within 5 months, so pretty much every room could use some attention in terms of decor and furniture to make it come together. I love Home Goids! Wish we had one where I live!

KATE! Not sure if you already bought the sweatshirt dress from H&M, but it’s on sale today for only $12.99!!!

Sorry for all the exclamations, but I’m a bit excited (I bought one this a.m. because I fell in love with it the second I saw it in your post.)
