The perfect gift for mom
November Birchbox
My mom can be hard to shop for. I always want to get her something that she’ll really love and actually use. Practical but still fun, you know?
I know what she likes, and I know what kind of gifts she likes to receive, but for some reason I come up empty with ideas when it comes to Christmas or her birthday.
Whenever I’m struggling with what to get someone, I think about what I may like to receive. And I’ve been looking for a good book for months now. I’ve entered a season of quiet, before the baby comes, and now is as good as a time as ever to start a good book.
So I thought through my personal recommendations. The books I think everyone should read. And came up with a little list that could be perfect for my mom, or your mom if you happen to be in need of a gift idea for her.
1. While I haven’t read Who Loves You Best, by Tess Stimson, I’ve heard great things about it. It’s a story about motherhood and the joys, as well as challenges, that go along with it. I look forward to reading this book soon!
2. Homer’s Oddessy is a memoir written by Gwen Cooper about her blind cat. It is absolutely heart-warming. I found myself thinking about the book while I read it, and I nearly couldn’t put it down. It’s a perfect book for anyone in your life that has a soft spot for animals.
3. The Kite Runner, by Kahled Hosseini, became a favorite of mine right away. I read it years ago and loved discovering the relationship between two unlikely friends. It’s both wonderfully written and easy to get wrapped up in.
4. Same Kind of Different As Me, by Ron Hall and Denver Moore, completely changed the way I thought about those that may be homeless or poor. It’s a fascinating true story about how one man impacted the lives of Ron Hall and his wife, which inevitably impacted so many others.
5. The Memory Keepers Daughter, by Kim Edwards, was an emotional read. There were parts that were difficult to get through, and it’s a book that really makes you think. Consider giving this book with a pack of tissues to go along with it.
If you are an avid reader, you will truly appreciate the functionality and ease of having all your favorite books on a Kindle.
The Kindle Paperwhite is a perfect gift for mom because she can carry over 1,000 titles around with her at a fraction of the weight of carrying a few paperback books. My mom travels a lot, and with her first grandchild on the way, I know she’ll be spending many hours sitting at airport terminals waiting for her flights. Instead of draining her smart phone battery, having a dedicated device to house her books is perfect for her.
The Kindle Paperwhite has a few new features, like a 25% faster processor, and an easier to use “page flip” feature. It’s also lighter, and has better lighting so you can read in a variety of places.
So instead of just getting your mom a book or two, consider the Kindle Paperwhite. It’s something that I’m sure she’ll love for years to come.

My daughter constantly borrows my kindle. I was actually thinking of getting her one for Christmas. At 13, whens she’s not playing with hair and makeup, she’s reading….now if the reverse side of the kindle has a mirror, how awesome would that be? 😉
The kindle is the perfect gift for my girls so I love your feedback about the Paperwhite as we are just starting to look. My oldest daughter’s teacher has 10 of them for her students and she loves it so we decided to get them each their own.
My mum tends to read books in the bath…and often drops them *tsk* so I think a kindle would be asking for trouble!!

I put a kindle on my Christmas list this year. I’ve held out for a while, but decided I want one!! Great give a way!!

A dear friend… who loves to read and has this on her wish list! (mushmandy@yahoo.com)
I’ve been dying for a Kindle for myself this year after realizing how much I travel and how annoying it can be to lug around a stack of magazines and books
Yo estoy pensando regalarle un Kindle a mi madre, seguro que le da mucho uso en vacaciones 🙂

I have been thinking about getting my mom the Kindle for Christmas! She always is carrying around 2 -3 books with her, and then she only carries a mini purse, so having the slim kindle would be perfect for her! I think she likes to read multiple books at the same time, so having them all with her would be so convenient. Thanks for the giveaway, I would really love to win this one!
Email: cpresto11@gmail.com
I love Khaled Hosseini’s books ! I have seen the Kite Runner in the cinema, in a live play, and read the book twice. His other books are good also.
I tweeted about the giveaway! https://twitter.com/FightingFL/status/403862112851607553
I’d love to win a Kindle, because of the portability aspect of it! It’s light and I could also put a ton of books on it, which is a win-win in my world! 🙂

Hmm…not sure why my first comment didn’t show up. Same reason as you, mom lives in IL, I live in NC with her precious grandson. She has tons of traveling ahead of her! cslack07@gmail.com
I would get my mom a kindle because she takes the bus for transportation a lot and would love to be able to read on the bus. PLUS we have some really needy cats and she would never have to worry about losing her place if the cats knocked the kindle out of her hands (not that they do that with her books now or anything……really they just need ALOT of attention)
My son (10) loves his Kindle- it’s so nice to be able to add a new book with the click of a button (and cheaper than purchasing a paperback) for my voracious reader when he finishes a book and wants to read the next in a series. I think it would be a great gift for any reader!
Claire (dot) hotelling (at) gmail (dot) com
How horrible am I?? I would like to keep a Kindle for myself! I have an older tablet from a famous bookstore that rhymes with Farnes & Roble. It’s just become a little outdated! kcsharp11 (at) gmail (dot) com
My parents would love a kindle! They could read on all their trips without bringing all the bulk.
My Husband would love this! We said no gifts for us, just the kids, it would make a wonderful surprise!
My Husband would love this! We said no gifts for us, just the kids, it would make a wonderful surprise!
My 7 year old son loves to read. He always has his nose in a book. I want to continue to encourage his reading, but I don’t love picking up all the books from all over my house. He would be over the moon to get a Kindle. jenbeal@tx.rr.com
My husband is a medical resident and ALWAYS has his nose stuck in books. . .which means we are swimming in books and articles and journals ALL OVER OUR HOUSE 🙂 This would be great. . .
i have been thinking about getting my mom a kindle for quite a while but always seem to forget this great idea when her birthday and christmas comes around! i think that mom would really love the kindle not only because she has an entire library at her fingertips, but also because she struggles with dyslexia and the kindle (like changing the size of the font) would allow her to read a bit easier. mom always encouraged me to read as a child so that i could encounter all these wonderful new places to get lost in – it would be lovely to be able to share that same gift with her! elise.richardson@gmail.com [also, just found your blog and love it! congrats on the little one and your new journey!]
my mom is probably the easiest person to shop for. now my dad on the other hand, I’m not quite as lucky!!
http://allthingsprettyandlittle.blogspot.com/
I think the kindle is so great for traveling. Easy and functional!
My daughter has been asking for a Kindle – she is an avid reader and usually has a few books going at the same time 🙂 lisaith@gmail.com
My husband would LOVE a kindle!
I think a kindle would be a great gift because it is the perfect size to usecanywhere for reading or browsing online.

If I were able to win a Kindle, I’d give it to my brother, who lives all the way overseas in Korea. It would make it a lot easier for him to be able to connect with books and with our family here in the US. I know that Kindles can share books amongst different users, and it would be the greatest Christmas gift for all of our Family.
The Amazon Kindle would be the perfect gift for my sister this holiday season! She lives in Montana, so it is hard to get to the library or to the store sometimes. Since it works in inclement conditions, she would be able to access any book at any time. bonnieeholmes@gmail.com
A paperwhite would be great for my English-teacher-sister who loves the look and feel of a real book! Closest thing in the eReader world is this Kindle!
My husband is in the military – he is in school to earn his Masters to become a Chaplain. His books are piled high in pretty much every nook and cranny of his office! 🙂 I would love to be able to give him the kindle – not only as a gift to help him access the books he needs easily but to also show him how proud I am of him for all his hard work!
The Kindle would be perfect for my mom as well. She is constantly reading and if she doesn’t have a book she’ll download one on her iPhone! I’m sure she would appreciate reading a book on a bigger screen.
v5klauer@gmail.com
We actually got the paperwhite for my mom last Christmas, my husband got me one, and we just got one for my mother-in-law’s birthday! It has been the perfect gift because the battery lasts longer than an iPad, you can use it in sunlight, and I love having so many books in one place.
My sister got a new job which requires a lot of travel. She would love a kindle to use on the go!
And I forgot to put my email in…erincarrock@hotmail.com
this is great! I love mine and would love to gift another to my mom!
I think the Kindle would be the BEST gift because since having a baby, reading is one of the only things that helps me fall asleep.
this might be the most amazing gift ever. i would give the kindle to my mom, hands down. she devours books and i know that she would love this.
I’ve read a few of these titles, too and they are sooo good!
I LOVE my Kindle. I love the ability to instantly have a book after ordring it without having to wait for delivery, the convenience of being able to order rift from the device itself. Really, everything about it is just fantastic! A Kindle would make the PERFECT gift for my mom who is just as much of a bookworm as me. Well of course, where do I think I got it from? 🙂
Uknowuwantme096 (at) aol (dot) com
Great gift idea. My husband would love this, he is currently lugging the Game of Thrones to and fro work daily. Those are some fat books!
kestear@hotmail.com
This is awesome! My hubby loves to read and a Kindle would be great to cut down on clutter in our house. liz(dot)beckwith(at)gmail(dot)com
The Kindle would be the perfect gift for me, LOL! I am never without a book to read, and a Kindle would make it so much easier to cart around my preferred reading material (really big books). It’s hard to shove the entire Harry Potter series in your purse, ya know?
I think my sister in law would love the kindle…
Jbuxton09 at gmail dot com
Awesome idea! I have had a Kindle Fire for a couple of years now, and adore it! However, I have heard great things about the Paperwhite. My co-worker has been an amazing support system to me these last few weeks, and she is an AVID reader. This would made the perfect gift:)
Jenhowder@gmail.com
The kindle is perfect for my 5 year old. She is learning to read and loves her some digital books!
My mother LOVES reading, especially by the fire and with the kitties snuggled all around. If she gets a kindle, that means that she won’t have to disturb the kitties to grab a new book! amybwalker(at)gmail[.]com
It is the perfect gift because you can give the gift of an entire library in one small, purse sized tablet. What a treasure! Books are freedom. I really believe that.

I recently gifted a Kindle Paperwhite to my husband and he absolutely loves it! Instead of spending his time home from work watching TV, he curls up on the couch with his Kindle while I study (such is the life of a medical student). Last weekend I was in between rotations and decided to reread Catching Fire before the movie comes out this weekend. He had just read it, so I curled up with the Kindle and fell in love with that little device! We have an iPad but I love how lightweight and easy on the eyes it is. It’s now on *my* wishlist so we can both read separately at the same time – traveling, around the house, wherever!
jasmin(dot)s(dot)darling(at)gmail(dot)com
I received the Kindle Fire last year for Christmas and love it. Not only do I have multiple books on hand, the additional features the Kindle has to offer are great. The perfect gift for almost anyone. tmjunker@comcast.net
The Kindle would be a great gift for my mom! She loves to read but is always too busy to find the time, this would be the perfect solution…she could just carry it in her purse and pull it out whenever/wherever she gets a little down time. brie(dot)smith1(at)gmail(dot)com
I would give it to my sister, who LOVES to read! 🙂
This is perfect for someone who loves to read and loves their gadgets!
My husband and I love to travel, and whenever we do we always leave room in our bags for at least four books. When I got a Kindle it was *earthshattering* for me. I’m hoping to get my hubs one for Christmas, so he can experience the magic. 🙂 randallkc@gmail.com
I think this would be great for my son who loves to read but loves electronic’s as well. It blends the two things he loves perfectly!
This would be the perfect gift for my mother in law because she loves to read!
This would be a GREAT gift for my sons (to share). They use my husband’s kindle often & I think they would thoroughly enjoy having one of their own. It would encourage reading for both boys & they love angry birds!
This gift would be great for my grandma because she loves reading!!

My sister reads books constantly! She would love a Kindle so she doesn’t have to lug around her library books all the time 🙂
I would love to give this to my mom. She is an avid reader.

Nobody in my family currently has a Kindle, but it would be a perfect gift for my impossible-to-buy-for Dad! He loves to read, but he also travels internationally a lot for work. He usually has a ton of downtime in airports, hotel rooms, waiting on layovers, etc. Instead of buying and lugging around new books all the time, I’d love to gift this to him. 🙂
As much as I am a diehard real book lover I do love my Kindle when a book is newly released and I can literally click a button and have it downloaded in a minute or less instead of having to wait for it in stores or to be delivered.
The Amazon Kindle would be perfect for my sister who loves to read and carries at least 4 or 5 books with her whenever she goes away!
sincerelytonyanicole@gmail.com
This is something my parents actually gave my brother-in-law for Christmas a few years ago (the paperwhite wasn’t around yet, but I’m not sure which version they gave him). My brother-in-law is an avid reader and was deployed in Afghanistan. He was constantly ordering books and having them shipped to him and then having to ship them back to my sister when he was done reading them. So my parents were like hey a Kindle would be perfect so he could get books instantly and save lots of space and money. He absolutely loved it!
I tweeted as well!

Mjhill@rochester.rr.com
I’m having a hard time answering this question because everyone in my life already has a Kindle! They love them. But I certainly would appreciate one because I am always that person on our family vacations who has a separate bag of just library books. 🙂

It would be the perfect gift for me to give my husband. He doesn’t have time to go to the library so he has to read whatever I bring home to him. Plus he’s been wanting a Kindle! 🙂

kindel@willowwhite.com
I would love to give the Kindle Paperwhite to my mom. Espeically when we’re at the beach, she LOVES to read. I’ve taken my Kindle Fire to the beach or outdoors and had issues with the glare or the brightness. It would be great for her to have something that she could read without straining and also, doesn’t have TOO many options (iPad) that can be overwhelming for older users. Throughout the years, she’s worked so hard to give us everything we could want and need; it would be so nice to shower her with a few nice gifts this year – including a Kindle Paperwhite!
laura@ourlifeinthequeencity.com
the kindle would be perfect for ALL ages in someone’s family…

My husband never used to read. However, that changed recently and we both love to read now. I already have a Kindle, but unfortunately he likes to use it with his new found love of reading. I’d give the Kindle to my husband for Christmas for him to enjoy on his own!

My mom would love a Kindle for Christmas. She has been suffering from fibromyalgia for many years, leaving her in a great deal of pain some days, even unable to get out of bed. On these days, being able to have something to read would help her make the best of a bad situation. She has always loved to read and with a Kindle, she could have access to hundreds of books at her fingertips.

This would be a great gift for my dad! He travels back and forth a bit to Vegas for treatments for his headaches that he’s had for the past 13 years???- still don’t know the cause. I know he misses home and reading would be a great way to kill some time while out there by himself.

I would love to give this to my husband. He has finally put down the magazines and started reading books again. I’d like to encourage it!!
While nothing quite tops a hard copy, the allure of having all my dad’s favorites in one place sounds like a great gift for him! He travels more than he’d like for work and the Kindle is a great way for him to always have a bit of comfort, no matter where he goes.

This would be a great gift for my sister, who is a working mom with a lot of non-driving commute time in her schedule along with lots of evenings at the baseball field or whatever the activity of the season is. I think she would love it!

This would be a wonderful gift for my father. A few years ago he was up on our roof taking leaves out of our gutter when he slipped off the ladder and fell to the driveway. Without going into too many details, he needed reconstructive surgery to his face, hand and elbow. Because of his extensive recovery, he has taken up reading, crosswords and internet surfing. 🙂 Even when he was laid up in bed, he never once complained. He’s a wonderful man and having the gift of a Kindle so he can read with one devise would be a wonderful Christmas present. Thank you for the opportunity to share. lam81208@gmail.com
The Kindle would be perfect for my dad! He’s not an avid reader, mostly because the print in books is too small 🙂 But he would LOVE the kindle because you can increase the font size! I think he would definately read more often if it was easier on his eyes!
wolffjm@yahoo.com
My first comment does not seem to be there…but I would love to win this for my husband–he never remembers to bring a book when we travel, this way he has access to millions at his fingertips!
My husband loves to read ebooks but always uses his iPhone. I think he would love a kindle.
The Kindle would be perfect for my dad. He travels for business 3-4 days a week and is an avid reader. The small size of the Kindle (plus the ability to increase the font size) would make it some much easier to read on all the plane rides he takes!
Its on my Christmas list! I want it for myself! I made note of all your book suggestions and when I win the gift card and get my reader I will be purchasing all those books. Thanks Cynthia
This would be so perfect for my husband. He’s mentioned wanting one a few times, and this would be the perfect solution! mrsstaceykline@gmail.com
I have wanted one of these for a while! I am an avid reader, having read over 100 books this year. I am at the library all the time, like every day. There are so many books that I want to read that are only available as e-books. I would love to finally be able to read them! We just started a new business, so this isn’t in our budget, but it’s the one thing I reallyt wanted. Thank you for doing these giveaways!
wil04078@gmail.com
I would love to give this to my best friend – she would LOVE it, as she is an avid reader, and we share a lot of the same book interests! margaret.harry@gmail.com
I’m actually thinking about getting a paperwhite for my boyfriend – but shhhh don’t tell! 😉
I am a busy mom with eight children, four grandchildren and somehow made the wise decision that I wanted to return to school to finish my degree. Working 40 hrs a week, being a full time student and attending all of my children’s sporting events doesn’t leave me much room for personal reading. Having a Kindle to bring with me in the car, sitting at games and even reading to my granddaughters would be much easier (it would also take up much less space!) Thank you for the opportunity to win a Kindle!
biermangirl@gmail.com
I’m not interested in a Kindle, and can’t pretend to be even for the sake of a sweepstake I want to win! Cursed inflated sense of morals! 🙂 I do love amazon, but I’m a sucker for a real book, and everyone else in my family either has their Kindle or works in an independent book store! But I did want to comment and say that anyone who liked the Kite Runner should absolutely check out Khaled Hosseini’s latest book And the Mountains Echoed. It is absolutely amazing.
This would be the perfect gift for my husband! He reads all the time and we’re running out of room to put books 🙂 ~ Andi T.

I would love to give this to my mom, she is an avid reader like me, and I know that she would just adore a Kindle. My husband gave me a Kindle last year, and I LOVE my Kindle. ashleypekny@gmail . com
I would love to give this to my little sister. She’s about to turn 13, so there’s a whole new section of pre-teen/teen books available for her! She loves to read and I know she would love to have unlimited books at her fingertips! klm61210@yahoo.com
The Kindle Paperwhite would be a perfect gift because it’s so compact!!

The kindle is such a good gift for a college student! You can download required readings and textbooks and they are oh so easy to use at that point. You could just put your kindle in your purse and grab your notebook & you are all set! I would love to give to my twin sister!
My mom just recently lost her job and has been a little down especially with the holidays coming. I think this would be just the thing to cheer her up! Thanks for the great gift ideas!

I have a Kindle Paperwhite, and I just bought one for my husband for his birthday last month. My mom reads a LOT, so a Kindle would be great for her, because it’s so quick and easy to download a new title, and it’s easy to travel with.
amymann228@gmail.com
My son is 9 and is really starting to get into reading. I would love to give him a Kindle so he can have multiple books at his fingertips without having to worry about where to store them!
My husband would love a Kindle because he is an avid reader. The Kindle would be perfect because instead of carrying a bunch of heavy books around in his backpack when we go out of town, he could just carry the Kindle instead. So much lighter to carry around and so many books in one place. tennisbec@hotmail.com
My husband has always been a little discouraged with reading because he is on the slower side, but lately he has found an author he loves and has been reading a ton! I would love to give him a Kindle to help him keep it up and grow to love reading as much as I do. (ashleylatimer(at)hotmail.com)
My mom reads all the time- and is also a new traveling grandma to twin baby girls…she could use this in her waits as well! Would love it!
I LOVE my Kindle and love that I can have so many books on there to take with me when I travel. It’s so light that it’s now my preferred way to read. I’d love to get one for my sister-in-law, who recommends so many fantastic books to me.
My mom would love a Kindle. I would love to be able to gift her with one. She would be able to have a library of books at her disposal. Being able to make the words a size that she can read easily would be a bonus.
My 13 year old niece is an avid reader, and I would like to encourage this great habit. She is a regular at the library; however, she lives in the country and is not within walking distance to the nearest library. She devours books so quickly that she is often without anything to read. A Kindle would be the perfect gift for her.
My mom reads on her iPad but i think she would much prefer this!
I’m always looking for the perfect gift for my beloved grandmother. She doesn’t get out much and I think a Kindle would be the perfect gift! What a great idea!
I find reading so stress relieving. With a kindle you can “get a way from it all” wherever you are and not have to worry about lugging a huge book around with you. A great gift!

My nephew is 6 years old and HATES to read, but he loves video games. I think a kindle would be a great idea for him because it would combine reading and technology. He could actually see the books come to life on the screen in front of him. Of course, the parental controls would have to be used so he doesn’t just play games on it all the time.
rmfpaulk@gmail.com
Is it bad to say I would give it to myself? I have to borrow my husband’s Kindle, but I would love to have my very own.
Kindle Paperwhite would be perfect for travelers, missionaries, or mommies who need to read with one hand! 🙂 It defintiely saves money too! madison.c.wheeler@gmail.com
It would be a perfect gift for my mother-in-law so she doesn’t have to carry heavy books with her when she travels.
nmchio@aol.com
I would LOVE a kindle! cjoball@gmail.com
My mom is 77 years young (I’m 58) and she goes to her local library almos weekly and literaly will take out 6-10 books (each about 1 1/2-2 inches thick) and reads them all in about a week. I don’t know how she does it, but with the winter coming and she doesn’t like to drive in snow (upper Massachusetts) I know she would love getting this for Christmas this year. dhowarth@mitre.org
I LOVE my Kindle! This would make a great gift for my husband since he travels a lot for business. Thanks for the great book recommendations as well!
I would love a kindle for all sorts of night time-winding down reading!
amandacpitcock@gmail.com
I have a Kindle that my husband bought me 2 years ago for Christmas and I LOVE it!! I hoping to get a new one so my boys can have my old one!
I would love a Kindle because going to the library so often with kids is difficult and I read a ton.
Cmcrandell@Gmail dot com
This would be perfect for my mom or dad! We are a reading family and have so many books! We read and re-read them but the Kindle Paperwhite would help cut down on the stacks of books that keep piling up because we just cannot stop ourselves from buying more. Maybe we have a problem, book-aholics. Lol!
I’m often reading more than one book at a time (often three to four), so it would be nice to streamline my purse a bit. Thanks for the great giveaway. I love reading your blog so much! (dianamoffo@gmail.com)
My Mom would absolutely flip over this. She enjoys quiet alone time with books! jjanusz@allstate.com
My mom would love this!! I hope to win 🙂 rose_amyd@hotmail.com
My mom has the first version of Kindle and she would love to upgrade her device! She is a crazy avid reader, just like me!! (arnold.martha@gmail.com)
I love my Kindle and would like to get one for my daughter. I’ve also read the Kite Runner and liked it a lot as well as The Memory Keepers Daughter, also liked. Thanks for the other suggestions. tinamarie.meyers@gmail.com

My dad would LOVE this. A paperwhite is so much like a real book… which is just what he would prefer over the other Kindle types. What a great gift for him!
I would love this!
I would give this to my mother-in-law. She travels a lot and loves to read. It would be perfect for her.
The kindle would be great for my mom. My dad passed away last year and having thousands of titles to read at her fingertips would be a good distraction.

My stepchildren would love a Kindle. They both love to read and this would be a wonderful way to encourage these two bookworms! ialbert04 (at) aol (dot) com
My mom would love a Kindle. She’s a busy retiree visiting two grandchildren out of town and running around after four grandchildren in town. She also is the chief driver to get my Dad to and from Drs visits. Having a Kindle fire in her purse would allow her to catch up on email, read unlimited books, and entertain the kids with great apps. We also love to share books so it would be great to use the share function with each other. jsmith30030@gmail.com

My mother-in-law recently lost her mother of 95 years so we are trying to make this holiday extra special for her since she will no longer be celebrating with her mom as she has every year. We were actually just talking about getting her a kindle a few days ago, and we think it would be the perfect gift! (llarson070@gmail.com)
My mom would love this! She has tons of books and loves to read, how convenient this would be!
My Mom gave her Kindle to someone she felt needed it more than her and I would love to replace it with the new paper white!
My mom is a crazy avid reader and since we lost my daddy a little over a year ago, with all the stresses and loneliness that comes with being a new widow, she often finds peace, relaxation, and distraction in a good book (or 4!). And having something lightweight to throw in her purse for a quick lunch break read during a tough work day or to be able to take a ton of books when she gets away at her sister’s cabin world be invaluable. angel_of_music@cox.net
and I’m not good at following directions my email address is ouashlee@gmail.com
I would give a kindle to my daughter. She goes through books like crazy and we do not always have time to get tot he library. Would be nice to easily download one and not have so many to store.
I don’t see my comment so I’m trying again, not trying to cheat! My mom is a crazy avid reader and since we lost my daddy a little over a year ago, with all the stresses and loneliness that comes with being a new widow, she often finds peace, relaxation, and distraction in a good book (or 4!). I would love a Kindle for my fiancee…because despite the fact that he is “anti-technology”, I often find us arguing about who will use my Kindle to read in bed each night. 🙂 puckett418@gmail.com
What a great gift! My brother travels a lot for work and loves to read. This out be a great gift for him.
Can I say it would be the perfect gift for me? 🙂
I spend a lot of time in Drs waiting rooms, seems they are never on time! Sometimes I finish the book I’m reading and am left to the “antique” magazines that I’ve read a million times. It would be so handy to have a Kindle to be able to start another book and kill all that wasteful time…which happens to be “my time”.:)
*hugs*deb
I would love to give this to my father-in-law. He is an avid reader with too many books on his shelf.

A Kindle would be the perfect present for my grandma. She loves to read! My grandparents travel quite a lot so this would be easy to pack in a suitcase or purse. angie.plaggemeyer@gmail.com
I often buy Kindle books while I’m browsing Amazon at work (bad, I know), which makes it difficult when I read something really great but can’t share it with my best friend, who also loves to read. I would give her a Kindle so that we could share our Kindle books as well as our physical books. (sebannister21@yahoo.com)
This would be great for my best friend and recent maid on honor. She travels a lot and lugs many books with her in her carry on. She has recently been having back problems and I think would help with that. She does not have any fancy tech gadgets and still uses a regular cell phone. I think this would be fun for her.
I love the kindle line and use mine daily. I would really enjoy buying one for my son who doesn’t love to read unless he has a really good book. His literature teacher recommended teens read on a kindle because they like the tech aspect and it is easier visually to read quickly which he believes keeps them engaged longer.
email is dnschwartz1@yahoo.com
My mom would love a Kindle Paperweight! She loves to read, and travels a lot for work so I think this would be a great item for her to stuff in her bag or briefcase, on the train or in the air. maurin.walchak@gmail.com

hmmm Christmas gift to myself? I have been eyeing a kindle for a while now but haven’t given in just yet! Would love to have all of my favorite books in one place! hannah.groombridge@gmail.com
I would love a kindle… just started a book club and will be having a baby soon. Something to read while nursing would be awesome!
This kindle would be a great gift for my daughter. I’ve been letting her borrow mine to take to school since all the books she wants to read are checked out at the library – it’s been a great resource, but I want mine back 🙂 mcrogan@msn.com
My poor Dad would love a Kindle – he’s always waiting on one of us to be done reading something to snatch it away from us!
I would definitely love this! I’m sitting in various carpools everyday and the kindle would allow me to read while I’m waiting for my kids. No more lugging books around!
melissabmayo (at) gmail (dot) com
We plan to buy a kindle fire this year so that my little boy can play games on it as well. Would be the perfect gift for our family!
I would love to give my sister an Amazon Kindle for Christmas. She’s the mother of a 5-year-old and a 6-month-old, so not only would it be more convient than lugging around books (in addition to everything else she has to haul), but it would be a nice treat for her after the kids go to sleep. daniellefong1@gmail.com
Can I gift it to myself? I have an e-reader currently but it’s old, and I’ve been thinking of updating.

I have two kids. One is an undergrad and one is in graduate school. Although they have laptop computers, a Kindle would certainly lighten their load when traveling! They are both avid readers…it must run in the family!
I’ve been trying to encourage my mom to get a Kindle as she travels quite a bit. It would really help to cut down on her carry on luggage!
cmgudan@gmail.com
I am obsessed with my Kindle! Funny enough.. I actually bought it with the intention of giving it to my mom for Mother’s Day. I thought to myself, “I’ll just take a peek around it and see if it’s something she would even use.” (It was used — I didn’t open a brand new gift for her.) As soon as I logged in with my account, I knew it wasn’t going anywhere so I selfishly kept it after convincing myself she’d get more use out of an ipad than a kindle 😛 (Which she confirmed — I swear I’m not as horrible of a daughter as that makes me sound!)
The kindle would be a great gift for my husband since he travels for work. He loves to read so he always brings a book or two to read. This would eliminate the need for paper books and he’d have endless choices with the kindle if he did not like a book.
LCole517@hotmail.com
My Husband would LOVE a kindle paperwhite! He has the first generation of Kindle and it is clunky!
I hate clutter but want my kids to read avidly. A Kindle is a perfect way to keep them learning & growing without collecting dust on a shelf. WANT ONE! 🙂 nat.stephens@gmail.com
We are a family of readers! My husband, myself, and my two daughters (2 and 4) love books and stories.
My mom would also love the Kindle– she’s an avid reader of new release books but doesn’t love lugging around hardbacks. kimberly.blank@gmail.com
Would be awesome to have all my books in one place and great to travel with! JLH79@aol.com

My mom would definitely receive if I won. She deserves the best and I always come up empty handed…
I would LOVE a $100 gift card to amazon for my mom. She has an OOOOOOOOOOLD kindle, and she refuses to buy books for it! she’ll only download a book if it’s free LOL
it’d be great to get her a new kindle paperwhite, OR use the giftcard to buy her a bunch of books with 🙂
My dad would love to get one. He loves to read!
I would love a Kindle for my son who is just discovering how much fun reading is.
I would love to win a Kindle for my Mom. She loves to relax by reading and is always driving my siblings around to school, appointments, or work, so it would be great if she could read her Kindle while spending her time waiting for them.
My husband needs a kindle…he keeps stealing mine! Plus, he will be in med school next year and it will be really handy to have instead of lugging around huge text books. Great giveaway thanks!
My husband would love this because he has been traveling a ton!
I would love to add this to my wish list. I like the idea of a dedicated reader that is small and lightweight. Thanks for a chance to win!
My husband needs a Kindle, so he can slow down on filling up our tiny apartment with stacks of books!
It would be great for my husband. I’ve been trying to get him to read more and I think a new gadget would do the trick!

The Kindle would be perfect for me! I’m an avid reader and always carrying around a book or two in my purse which gets heavy. How fantastic of a giveaway is this!
My dad is always the most difficult person to buy for on my list….anything he wants, he goes out and buys…so this would be great for him since he loves to read.

I would LOVE to get a new kindle for my husband for Christmas. He is a crazy reader and was soo sad when our puppy chewed up his original Kindle earlier this year. He would be thrilled to have a new one!
My son loves to read it would make a perfect gift for him! ambmommie@gmail.com
My stepdaughter turns 17 next week (the day before Thanksgiving) and was struggling with reading and comprehension last school year. My stepson (13 years old) also struggles, so I made it my job to start a book club with our family. We read the Hunger Games (books 1 & 2) as a family. We were all assigned so many chapters each week and we discussed every Thursday night. We also incorporated quiet reading time throughout the week. They not only finished but LOVED them! We then read To Kill a Mockingbird … they did great!
Her grades improved dramatically by the end of last school year. We didn’t read many books during the summer … it was more optional. However, when this school year started she went to her high school library and checked out a book for her English class. She has since read four novels and is starting her fifth! May not seem like a lot but it’s pretty incredible for her. I’d love to give her a Kindle as a reward and inspiration to keep reading!
Now, if only we could get her brother to love reading … 🙂

I’d love to give my friend a kindle. We’re both bookworms, but she is leaving in a few months to go on the world race (11 months in 11 countries doing ministry). A kindle would allow her to read without restricting the numbers of books by the room in her suitcase.

I have loved reading since I was a little girl. My mom used to have every single Stephen King book when I was a kid. My daughter would love a Kindle. It is on her Christmas list for Santa!!!! She loves reading. Last year she was having trouble with different phonetic sounds so she is receiving additional reading instruction. That didn’t hinder her love of reading. She was determined to read 10 books over the summer (she is 7 years old). She met her goal and then some.
I think a Kindle would be the perfect gift for my sister-in-law. She reads constantly so she always has a book in her purse. A Kindle would be so much lighter and easier for her!

I have one if the first ereaders…about 10 years old. I would love to upgrade!
My little sister, at 13, is one of the most voracious readers I have ever encountered. She plows through books in hours. We simply can’t keep the girl’s supply stocked! A Kindle would be a lovely gift for her. And of course, who am I kidding? I would totally “borrow” it. 🙂

My husband would love a Kindle- he loves to read and this way he can “instantly” upload the books he wants!
Would be great for my mom as she loves to read and always has a book going.
The Kindle would be perfect for my mother. She’d have an easier time reading since she can make the font bigger.
I would love to get this for my daughter, I lent her my kindle for a recent trip she took. A kindle is great for a person who travels.
I’d love to give a Kindle to our 10 year old. He loves reading and is often running to get a handful of books when we’re headed out in the car. Thanks!
The kindle would be great for my daughter who is an avid reader just like her mother. 🙂
The Kindle would be the perfect gift for my mom this Christmas — she recently retired and is an avid reader!
I love mine! I love having so many book options with me at all times. And Homer’s Odyssey….what an amazing story that is! I really enjoyed that book.
It would be the perfect gift for me because I’m an avid reader and my Nook is not acting right. I’ve kind of been wanting to change for a while now! 🙂
rebeccatyndall@bellsouth.net
My sister would love a kindle (as would I). She reads constantly!
My aunt would love the Kindle because she and my mother used to share book with each other… now mom has a Kindle and my aunt doesn’t. I would love to give them (back!) the gift of reading and sharing books together!!
If I was feeling nice I would give it to my mom or brother–both who are avid readers! BUT I would probably be selfish and keep it for myself because I have been dying to get one for months! 😀
my mom would absolutely LOVE one of these! she got a kindle fire, but it seems my siblings always have it & are playing on it – and she would so love to have something that she could just read off of – no games 😛 she’d love this!!
This would be a perfect gift for my daughter.. she has to read quite often for school assignments and many times the books she would pick from the list the teachers handout are taken from the library, so we end up buying them through amazon on my kindle.. and I know she would love to have one of her own. Great giveaway.

My best friend would love a kindle. She’s a big reader, and is constantly lugging books around in her purse. It’d be great if she could lighten the load and have everything on a small e-reader!

MY husband is an avid reader and has been wanting one for a long time, but due to job loss money is tight. He is a wonderful husband, father and has been my rock during my breast cancer diagnosis.
I would love to give my mom a kindle–she loves to read, but doesn’t take the time to do so frequently. I think having a Kindle would be incentive to spend a little more time on herself and have an escape. I love mine! l.a.mullikin@gmail.com
My Mom is an avid reader and this would be great for her winter reading!!
A Kindle would be a wonderful gift for my sister who travels a lot for work. Plus, she usually only reads books that people recommend and that way she could always have a list going. katsalinas12@gmail.com
My husband and I are currently sharing a laptop as his computer is about to completely breakdown. Our 10th anniversary is right after Christmas and we have agreed to only get an anniversary gift this year to save money. A Kindle would be an incredible gift!
The Kindle would be the perfect gift for my sister-in-law. She loves to read, has 4 kids and always feels crammed in their car that seats exactly 6 of them. It would be great for her not to have a bunch of books but rather all of them on one small device!
The kindle would be a perfect gift for ME because when I find something I’d like to read I need to have it immediately and this way I could get everything instantly in a download – perfect!
I’d love to give a Kindle to my brother. He recently graduated from West Point Military Academy, and he’s about to be deployed for the first time. He loves to read, but I know he won’t be able to take a lot with him– a Kindle would save a lot of space and be so convenient for him. 🙂
LOVE the Kindle paperweight. Backlight option (but not necessary), small and easy to hold, long battery, large storage. Kindle has daily deals that you can subscribe to that pop in my email every day. I’ve found SUCH good deals there. Sometimes Kindle books are not a lot cheaper than hard books (and I prefer hard books anyway) but my Kindle is such a winner all the same. I’m able to carry around a lot more for travel and get books at next to no cost much of the time. All the classics are FREE too if you are of the geekier crowd and love Pride and Prejudice.
Bonus? I think if you liked The Kite Runner you would love Nowhere but Home and/or Code Name Verity. Code Name Verity is a bit slower but Nowhere but Home is my idea of perfection.
I would love to give a kindle to my father-in-law, who has a hard time seeing and would benefit from the ability to enlarge the type! cteeobrien at cox dot net
The kindle would be perfect for my sister. She is an avid reader and often travels with heavy bags of books so she has options. My kindle fixed this problem for me! hlane13@gmail.com
My husband would LOVE a kindle! He has one but it was lost or stolen on our last flight. 🙁 He would be so surprised and so happy to get another one, he used his all the time! pinkandpigs@yahoo.com
This would be a perfect gift for myself 🙂 I love to read!!!

My nephew is in second grade and is just starting to get into reading. I want to encourage him to read more and be able to bring as many books along with him as he wants, but I want to make it easier as well so the Amazon Kindle would be the perfect gift for him!!

I’ve really thought about getting one for my Dad. My mom died about 2 years ago and my dad either watches tv or reads a lot. He is a big fan of westerns and has actually started going to the library since my mom died and checking out books. One day he was looking for a book in a series but couldn’t find it at the library. I showed him how I could go on and find the book for him and order it and have it delivered instantly. He couldn’t believe it and kept talking about how neat that was. Would love to get him a Kindle with a gift card so he can order books anytime he would like to fill his time since he is retired and really missing having someone there to talk to. I learned my love of reading from him and know how a good book can be better than therapy. Thanks for your consideration. kragan79@gmail.com
This would be a perfect gift for ME! I am an avid reader and books get heavy to hold while reading in bed. 🙂
frazikat@gmail.com
I would love to give a Kindle Paperwhite to my mom. She and my dad have had a hard couple of years, as my brother is suffering from mental illness and is currently in a mental health facility. They spend a lot of time traveling in the car to go see him on weekends. She loves to read as much as I do and this would give her something to do while on the road.
cehynden@aol.com
My husband would love this-seems much more like a book page. tina m poulsen at gmail dot com
These are the perfect gift, especially for those that you don’t know what to buy for them. This is like the gift that keeps giving. You could give them an Amazon gift card with it so that they could choose what books they wanted to read! PERFECT.
My family has been through some rough stuff this year. One thing my Mom and I share is escaping into a book. I can’t afford the kindle right now, but she would love it! Everyone deserves a little escape 🙂

I started reading to my twin boys when they were infants. As they got older, we started the tradition of my reading to them before bed. To be delight, we continued this tradition until they were around twelve years old. At that point, they thought they were “too old” for me to be reading to them before bed, so they started reading in bed on their own. Often I had to turn their lights off for them because they would have been up reading until the wee hours. However, when I did this, they would simply turn on their flashlights and continue to read. Then we made the huge mistake of buying them ipod touches. Now instead of reading a book, their noses are in their ipods. My hope is that if we win the ereader, that it will re-ignite their love for reading books! Since they seem so fond of electronics 🙂 bdominic@twcny.rr.co
My soon to be 15 yr old on. He is an avid reader. With school he carries a good 30 lbs worth of school books and having a kindle would take just a little from the amount he carries but could then have a few more books to read between classes.
I just love the ease of the Kindle and I have always wanted to try one! Such a great giveaway! Thanks!

The Kindle Paperwhite would make a great gift for my sister who is a high school English teacher. She reads during the school year and summer to find the best books to teach to her students, and then when she has free time, she loves to sit down with a good book. (jmayers06@gmail.com)
I’d love to give a Kindle to my 11 year old son. His older sister is an avid reader, but he is less inclined to sit down with a book. I bet this would be an appealing incentive! Thanks.

My mother-in-law is an avid reader, especially in her retired years. She’d love a Kindle Paperwhite!

The Kindle would be a perfect gift for an avid reader. who now uses the Ipad but isn’t possible to read any books outside. The Ipad screen goes dark outside making it impossible to read anything. Love the idea of having a whole library of books on one small device portable enough to carry anywhere. Love it!!!

The kindle is the perfect gift for my best friend because she rides the train from Brooklyn to Manhattan each day. I’m sure she would love to read some great books on a Kindle for the hour long ride.
My mother in law would love a kindle! My mom, aunt, grandma, and I all have one and she is always asking what we are reading. I would love to get her a Kindle as a surprise from my husband and I. She has so much free time on her hands, and after the passing of her dad, she is just lonely.

Nothing is better than getting caught up in a good book! This would be a wonderful shared gift for me and my husband. We have a 6 month old cardiac baby who requires tube feeding. It can sometimes take awhile, reading a book could be a good change from scrolling through a smartphone. The Kindle would be nice, especially at night.
The Kindle is wonderful! I think everyone needs a Kindle! Amazon is my “go to” for Christmas shopping!
Kindle would be a perfect gift to me. I am an avid reader and don’t own any tablet. I have been hoping to get a Kindle as an e-reader for a few years.

I would definitely purchase a kindle for a gift. I love the features and presumably live that is easy to carry around. With three kids I don’t have room for extra baggage and the kindle easily slips into my purse or diaper bag!

A Kindle is on my wish list this year! We are going on our honeymoon in January, and as I started compiling my list of honeymoon reads, I realized I would need another bag just to bring all the books! The Kindle would be perfect for not weighing down my luggage! Great giveaway!
My mom was my inspiration for reading and finding a passion for it as I was growing up. She always had a book in hand(usually Danielle Steele) that she was reading. I remember asking her why she would read so much? She said, “It was because it was a journey away from the reality of life and experiencing new things. There is an excitement to imagining the characters, places and story!” From that time on I was a reader along side her. Even to this day I love the thought of picking up a book and escaping away from reality for a little bit. My mom has been considering a Kindle for a while but she is worried about how hard it may be to use it. I would really love to get her one for Christmas and unlock the next generation of reading for her. Thanks for the opportunity to remember this story and share it with you! – alittlebling2@gmail.com
this would be the perfect gift to myself. =) I travel a lot for work and would no longer have to skillfully pack my bags to include the books I am reading! nlfrease(at)aol(dot)com

This Kindle would be perfect for my Mom. She is truly an inspiration, after 25 years in the Army she decided to retire and be a stay at home mom for my brother and I. Fast forward 17 years, my brother is a senior is high school and I am in my first year of graduate school. She just recently went back to school to get her Masters in teaching because she felt that she has taught us all that we needed to know, and we have told her she has done an amazing job. So she thought, why not bestow this knowledge and experience with my own kids onto others to enrich their lives. After a fast track masters program, for the past year and a half we have not seen her. She is burrowed in our computer room doing task after task so she can start teaching as soon as possible. Last week she finished her last assignment and student teaching! Now that she has a break until her certification and license comes in, I figure what better way to wind down then with a good book, and what better way to read a good book then on a Kindle! I am so proud of her and would love this opportunity to be able to give that to her 🙂

My daughter is an avid reader. I know she would love a kindle.
I think the Kindle Paperwhite would be the perfect gift for my husband. He’s slowly becoming more of a reader and I think he’s appreciate having a number of books at his fingertips and would read even more if he didn’t have to carry the full-sized book with him wherever he goes. I’ve contemplated getting him a book on my Kindle (version 1.0 – the old school one!), but I’m not willing to share so it’d be great for him to have his own! Please pick me!
The Kindle would be a perfect gift for my husband, who is always trying to read books on his small phone (I am worried that he is hurting his eyes). He is an avid reader, and $100 to Amazon could go really far! Thanks so much (and best of luck with your final stretch of pregnancy).

I got one for Christmas last year and LOVE IT! I am an avid reader and take it where ever I go. It’s great for new moms or veteran moms because I have 5 boys and I also upload kids books on for them and while we are at a drs apt or need them to be quiet I pull it out for them to read quietly. They ask to borrow it every day! LOVE IT!
My mother-in-law would love a Kindle (if she could get over her technology phobia!).

I have a Kindle Fire, but it just died on me. 🙁 I think I wore it out I used it so much, so it’s on my Christmas list this year.
I love my Kindle and don’t go anywhere without it – I would love to give one as a gift. You never run in to the issue of having to go out to get a new book, and with the option to rent e-books from your library – it’s economical too!

Who doesn’t love thousands of books at their fingertips? I know I do. I could so use an update to my e-reader.
I’m thinking of a Kindle for my daughter for Christmas. She’s moving to middle school and beginning to actually enjoy novels, so I want to encourage that any way I can!
I would give one to my husband as he quite frequently steals mine so I know how much he would appreciate it. It’s actually on a list for him for Christmas! brookeb269@yahoo.com
my mom has the ORIGINAL barnes and noble nook. the poor thing is running on fumes – I have no idea how she is even reading on the machine at this point. I would love to upgrade the device for her, but she won’t let me buy her a new one. winning one would be a completely different story 😀
My future mother-in-law would love an Kindle White, but she doesn’t know it yet. She’s an avid reader, always with a book in her purse for any “down times”. One of these would be light and easy for her to carry in a purse. I have a Kindle, and the technology is very user-friendly, a must for a 60-something without much computer experience.
The Kindle would be a perfect gift for my mother in law. She is an avid reader and my brother in law and his family just moved across the country so she will be traveling not only to see us because we live in another state but now traveling to see my BIL and his family.

As an avid Kindle Fire lover and user, all Amazon products for that matter, I would LOVE to gift this to my mom for Christmas. She spends SO much time on the road and then home to finish up work on a similar device that unfortunately does not house books, so I know that she would love to use a Kindle Paperwhite over her work device any day. She totally deserves it as she’s an older single mom to my youngest sister that just started college this fall. Good luck to everyone, and Happy Holidays!
A kindle would be perfect for my mom. She reads at least a book or more and week and this would just give her so many more options when she travels.
The pile of books on my mom’s nightstand is getting out of control. A Kindle would be perfect for her! camistuff@outlook.com

I think that it’s too hard to choose just one person to bless with this kind of gift! My mother would love it for all of her traveling. My sister would love it for the down time that she has at work. My younger brother would cherish it for the reading he’s been meaning to catch up on. There are so many possibilities!

The Kindle would be a perfect gift for my mom! She is so busy working full time and, when not working, taking care of everyone else around her. What fun this would be for Christmas! Don’t know if I would give as a gift or keep it!!! I love to Read!
My mom loves to read but had trouble with her eyes. The kindle allows her to read ANY book in LARGE print. Thanks for hosting!
My husband gave his kindle to a co-worker’s daughter
who couldn’t afford one. I would love to surprise him with a new one.

I have one and love it! The kindle would be a great gift for anyone who travels frequently, as you can “take” many books with your anywhere very easily!

This would be a wonderful gift for my mother-in-law.

The kindle would be a great gift for my daughter because she’s always stealing mine! She thinks it’s all hers and I’d love to have something for her to read and play games on that was all hers.
This would be the perfect gift for my roommate! Being college students, we are constantly lugging around books. A Kindle would be a great way to save money and space!
I love to read and I would love to win this!

My brother-in-law is an english teacher, has a passion for reading, and is doing his best to transfer that passion to his middle school students! I would love to give this to him for Christmas!

I would love a Kindle (I’m trying to convince my husband to get me one for Christmas), and I think my mom would like one someday… she loves reading and has a lot of books.
My little sister would love to have a kindle as she is an avid reader.
My mom needs a Kindle paperwhite. She LOVES to read (as do I, but I have one!) and has been trying to use her regular tablet to read at the beach which is very difficult. It would make the perfect Christmas gift!

I LOVED my Kindle, especially since I travel around the world so much. But, my home was recently broken into and my Kindle was one of the items taken. Is it selfish to want to win it for myself? 🙂 maynymph59(at)gmail(dot)com
I bought my mom the original kindle but she can no longer read it, I would love to get her the kindle paper right so she could go back to enjoying it again!

I want to get a Kindle for my daughter; she reads everything in sight. She’s such a gracious young lady too; she would appreciate it.
Not related; but I LOVE your blog. Your pictures of your house are wonderful!

Being an avid reader myself i know the importance of an e-book reader, it lets you carry all your books without occupying any space in your travel bag. kindle paper white is an amazing value for money gadget you can buy for yourself or any of your family member who loves reading.
electronic gadgets always make some useful gifts for your loved ones. nice post 🙂
My grandmother has been eyeing mine and I think she would love it, even if she’s a little timid at first. Thanks for the giveaway! nkalencki at gmail dot com
My sister is a big reader but doesn’t have an ereader. Not to mention she could use a kindle for all of her school textbooks! kaylagodin1@gmail.com
I have a tablet that I use religiously, but I’ve been craving a kindle for so long! My mom and sister both have them and I want to join!! fuzzydancer (at) gmail (dot) com
The kindle makes a perfect gift because it makes it simple to read on-the-go and at every opportunity! soco210 at yahoo
I would love a Kindle this Christmas because of the great compact size AND the books are cheaper than buying traditional books!
You can never go wrong with books. My mom is an avid reader. For years I would buy her her favorite Amish books for any holiday. She recently got a kindle that she really loves and she just uses that now. Now I always buy her Amazon gift cards so she can purchase new e-books for it. I think I’m going to also get her a pair of animal slippers for adults to go along with it this year. She loves animals and is pretty silly she’d love something like that. This way she’ll be comfortable when she’s reading!
I love my kindle and think my daughter would enjoy one as well.
I love that Free Time Feature, I am always looking at my watch to set time for the kids on their reading homework. The Kindle is on our family list, living in a small town, we have to travel to purchase books. With the Kindle, I would be saving gas driving to a book store to purchase the many books the little ones read, and can easily save time by downloading a book instead. Also while traveling it makes it very convenient to download books.

My grandma would love this! She is always reading something. I once thought it’d be too “high-tech” for her but she’s become quite savvy lately and I think she’d love it. smstare@gmail dot com

My grandma would love a kindle! She deserves one because she has spent her entire life devoting herself to making our Christmas’s special, so this would be a great way to make hers special too.
As a frequent traveller whom also loves books, a Kindle is the perfect compromise while still far more functional that most mobile ereader apps.
ms(dot)binder(at)gmail(dot)com.
my mom is a voracious reader and I think it would help her from having so many books in her house just being able to download them

My kids love reading and this Amazon Kindle would be the perfect gift for them this holiday season! Perfect way to read more without add more books to the already fully packed book shelves. 😉

The amazon kindle is on our wish list because I am a book worm. Kindles are environmentally friendly, they do not use paper as books do, and they are a convenient way to carry hundreds of books at your fingertips.
