Absolutely Everything You Need for A Summer Wardrobe

The Makeup I’m loving this Spring

I realize this title is a bold claim, but I stand by it!

Here is a round-up of my wardrobe MVPs. They may not get the respect they deserve (I’m looking at you, slips) but they are total game-changers when it comes to wearing lightweight dresses, cut-away tank tops, and more this spring and summer.

One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten. Eleven.

I included a few other helpful things on this list, like my Lake Pajamas after bath wrap. I wear it every day after my shower when I’m getting ready.

The 3 pack of slips is great because I have every potential size I may need. Slips are not only helpful for creating a light layer under paper thin, white, or light colored dresses, but they can also help a knit dress move and flow against your body a bit more smoothly.

If you’re more of a “shorts under dresses” gal, the thin shorts by Thigh Society are great. They are not shape wear so they do not offer shaping benefits BUT they will smooth your legs/butt so you won’t see a panty line under thin or lightweight dresses.

The smoothest “no show” bra I wear is the Soma Enbliss bralette. It’s great to wear under racerback tanks because you can’t see any bra lines. The other bra I wear most often these days is this one by Natori. Remember my experience getting fitted? You can read about it here in case you missed it. It’s something I would strongly encourage you to do!

I was a ride or die high rise brief girl until I discovered the Skims high rise thongs. I found that other thongs hit me right at my c-section scar and irritated me. The Skims high rise thongs feel like nothing, which is exactly my goal, and I’ve also found that the silkier version of the Hanky Panky thongs are nice under slim fitting clothing that may show a panty line. These are better under leggings, for example.

Strapless bras can be fussy, and it’s really a process of trial and error to find the best one (I like this one) but if you are looking for an option for a dress or top that won’t work with a regular bra, boob tape can be your friend. I used it a few times last year and found it to be extremely comfortable, easy to apply and remove!

I hope these recommendations are helpful if you’re looking for some wardrobe essentials that help you feel great in whatever you want to wear during these warmer months!
