What a week!
My sister, mom, and I went to Marco Island, Florida last weekend for a quick girls’ trip. This is something we try to do annually and it’s such a great time. We like to do the same kinds of things on vacation so it’s really an effortless, laid-back trip. We spent time in a cabana on the beach, went out to dinner, drove to Naples one afternoon, got massages, and laughed a lot. I’m grateful for the time of just the three of us together!
I returned home Monday night, but Justin had to leave Monday morning for a golf trip. And then just last night, around midnight, Justin returned from Arizona. So it had been over a week since I saw him due to overlapping travel plans.
I shared a few things that I packed on my trip to Florida on Instagram, but I want to highlight a few key essentials here.
I wore the Peter Thomas Roth Max Mineral tinted SPF every day. I didn’t even get a hint of a burn on my face. My back got a little burned due to poor planning, and my lips did as well. I used a lip balm the first day that didn’t work for me, but after that, I switched to applying a sun bum lip product frequently. I have to admit, it was fine but I didn’t love it. I’m currently shopping for a good lip SPF.
I like Elta SPF products, so maybe I’ll give this one a try?
I wore the packable Panama hat from Halogen every day. It’s currently sold out but keep an eye on it to restock. I’m not typically a hat girl, but this one is very cute and certainly does the job!
The only “going out” sandals I packed were these from Dolce Vita. My sister actually packed the same pair in a lighter shade. They go with nearly everything and fit true to size.
The only hair tool I packed is the T3 Airebrush Duo. I cannot remember a time I packed only one hair tool AND one that isn’t even a curling or flat iron. That should tell you how much I love this thing! Did you catch the demo video I posted?!
I also shared a video on YouTube comparing a few different hair tools at different price points. You can watch it here.
And here are a few things I mentioned on Instagram Stories recently that you may have missed:
Ashcroft Sunglasses – my most worn pair lately!
Meet Me in the Margins book by Melissa Ferguson
Wander Beauty On-the-Go Glow Stick – such an easy-to-use product!
Similar hat to the Halogen brand hat which is currently sold out
JW Marco Mariott in Marco Island FL
Mathew McConaughey’s book Greenlights – I’m almost done listening to this on Audible, it’s been interesting!
Loving Tan 2 Hour Express Mousse – best sunless tanner
VERB Ghost Hairspray – nice flexible hold hairspray
Green Madewell top with button back
Skims High Waist Thongs – game. changer.

Costco has carried a dupe of that hat in past years. Mine has held up well despite being used on adventures and in the garden. ❤️
I have always enjoyed checking out your blog over the years. However, I have noticed as of late some of the items you post
are extremely high end and quite costly…Tuma Umi backpack $495…Yikes!!! Like I said, I have always enjoyed your blog but
think some of your products may be a little over the top…for some of us! Don’t mean to offend you in anyway just food for thought.
I agree. I wish I could afford a $500 carry on for lots of travel 😭
Agreed. She used to be more “down to earth” and relatable to the average woman. Now everything she shares is high-priced and frivolous. Wish she shared more affordable options for middle class life.
you should make sure that all your links “open in a new window” so that people stay on your site!
