Biggest lie I tell myself is that I’m going to the mall for “returns”. I batch my returns so I don’t go to the mall very often, but it’s very common for me to walk out of there with a small black and white striped bag in my hand from Sephora.

What can I say? I’ve just always loved beauty products and I truly love getting to test and try things to recommend to y’all! I thought I’d take you through my day, from morning to night, and highlight just a few of the many products I love from Sephora.

In the shower, I have a handful of products that I switch off using, but these four have gotten heavy use lately!

I love the Verb Volume Shampoo for a simple clean feeling, lightweight shampoo. The Olaplex No 4p Blonde Enhancer Toning Shampoo is serious business. It’s very effective at cutting out any yellows in the hair but be prepared for a seriously cool result. Finally, Olaplex No8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask is a great mask for really strengthening and hydrating my hair.

Moving into a bit of skincare, I’ve been testing the Sephora Collection Ultra Glow Serum for my vitamin C and E. It’s a very nice serum that sinks in quickly and doesn’t leave an ounce of oily feeling on the skin. A few other skincare products are my very favorite Retinol Reform from Shani Darden, as well as Augustinus Bader The Cream, which I discovered through my Sephora Squad partnership. Some of you know I deal with dark spots around my mouth, and the Glow Recipe Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Treatment Serum has been what I’ve applied to my dark spots as of late. It takes a long, long time to lighten dark spots, but the reviews of this product have me feeling encouraged!

On the hair front, for the days that I’m looking for a very flexible, soft hold in the hair, the Verb Ghost Hairspray is my top choice.

This is a peek at my vanity, which often has many products splayed all over it. Looking at it, I feel like it’s important to point out the value of a good makeup brush. I have 10x the amount that I actually need, but in the mix are Sephora brand brushes from nearly a decade ago. Lastly, we wrap up the day at my bedside table. This sounds dramatic but it’s completely true: I cannot sleep without my lips slathered in lip balm. And not just any lip balm, but something that stays on all night and leaves my lips feeling baby soft in the morning. The Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask (now in peppermint, which is just so festive) is fantastic. It’s deeply hydrating and feels so good on the lips. I keep it right by my bed, and it’s the final step of my beauty routine before I sleep.

What’s with the Instagram redirect? Here I am reading your blog ready to engage. I do not use Instagram. Perhaps this makes it easy for you, but difficultly cumbersome for your readers. Also, it’s sad that you will only respond to DMs, I find reading through comments and replies to be awesome bonus content. Often times readers have the same questions so seeing your response upfront would be beneficial. Just a few thoughts to maybe increase your reader engagement and be more follower friendly.

I’ve repeatedly said that Olaplex is good, I simply think it’s overhyped. There are a lot of other great options on the market! I do not like the Olaplex system, but I do like Olaplex 8 and the new Olaplex purple shampoo. I’ve said this from the beginning, but unfortunately people don’t remember the exact terms sometimes and have assumed I hate the entire line. It’s not true, I never said that, and I’ll always be honest about my thoughts on beauty products with my community.

Very off topic, but your metal bed-side table looks fantastic! Can you share a larger picture? And where is it from? I am looking for new bed-side tables and it looks really unique and cool!
