Summer Salads

We are breathing in some of that midwest air and enjoying long overdue time with my family in Wisconsin. I’m finally getting to meet my niece! We’ve got a nice mix of planned activities and also plenty of chill days without much of a plan, and you can also be sure that we’ll be getting Chicago-style pizza while we’re in the midwest!

Did you catch my recap of our time in Palmetto Bluff?

Also if you happen to be looking for some humidity fighting products, I shared some here!

I’ve been tempted by this Leatherology bag for years. Still haven’t taken the plunge yet but it looks like the perfect crossbody size!

Looks like a dream from Ole Henricksen!

I got a handful of colored mesh bags like these from Amazon to take to swim class and various places where we may have wet/dirty clothes. They are great and have already come in very handy!

These look fun!

I finished reading “People We Meet on Vacation” by Emily Henry. It was a fun and easy summer romance/relationship book. Would recommend!

Questions from Monday’s Q & A box:

What are your favorite athletic shorts? I have a few from Target, Lululemon, and Athleta. The Athleta and Lululemon ones are my favorite but I’m not terribly picky about running shorts.

Do you and Justin agree on everything important? I’d say for the most part we do. We are both pretty good at explaining our points of view on something based on our experience, background, etc. and we both respect each other and value our thoughts and opinions on things.

Will you share your basic/daily schedule? I have! Click here.

Best heat protector for your hair that doesn’t feel sticky? Bb. Heat Shield Thermal Protector.

Are you still happy with your Beddy’s for your kids? Yes, I really love them.

What is the cool shot on the blow dryer for? To cool the hair down which helps lock in the shape with a round brush or smoothing brush. It also helps cool your head down a bit so you don’t get overheated and sweat during your blow-dry. I shared a lot of blow drying tips on this post!

How do you do your eyeliner? Lately, I like to lay liquid liner right at the base on my lashes, then smudge some dark shadow on top of it to soften the line and make it look thinner but not too heavy.

Hi! I promise I did a blog search first like you ask us to 🙂 I saw you like the bumble and bumble dry shampoo. So many people rave about living proof. I’ve used living proof, but not the bumble and bumble. Which do you think is better and why? I go between having blonde and brunette hair (my SIL is a stylist and likes to switch it up) and when my hair is dark I can’t find a dry shampoo that doesn’t leave white residue… help! 🙂

Try putting it in the night before. It absorbs the oil and the white tames down by morning. Tip from a brunette!
