My go-to color for my nails these days is Lisbon wants Moor. It’s a perfect neutral with a hint of pink, and I mean *just* a hint! You can read more about dip/powder/sns manicures here!

Lemon & asparagus are some of my favorite spring foods to mix with chicken. This looks delicious.

Currently the only plant that I haven’t managed to kill in my home is my snake plant. I’ll be reading this post soon so I can hopefully add more to keep my lonely snake plant company.

These are such cute outfits for under $50!

I’ve been using the nighttime lip treatment from Laneige recently, and this looks pretty good for a daytime option!

I mentioned a few skincare products I’ve been using on Instagram but linking to them has been a problem for the last week or so SO I will link to them here!

I’m planning on doing a more involved morning and evening skincare routine post soon, but in the meantime here are some tried and true products:

Biossance Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum : I’ve been using this morning and night for nearly 3 weeks. It’s a natural version of retinol (More ALL about that here!!) So far I’m seeing evenness in tone, hydration, and generally my skin looks healthy!

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Night Cream : I use this a few times a week. It’s extremely hydrating in the best of ways and I wake up with glowing skin.

Fresh Peony Instant Brightening Face Serum : I used this to combat pregnancy melasma and it worked! Now I’m using it on the lower half of my face to brighten dark spots.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask : I cheated on Bite Agave lip treatment (though I still love it) to give this product a try. I really like it! It’s thinner than the Agave lip treatment, but is still very hydrating!

My kids are out of school for spring break next week and we’ll be heading down to visit my parents in South Carolina. I’m looking forward to getting down there!

Do use only use the Biossance retinol during the day or do use apply a lotion over it? What is your favorite eye cream?

Just to be clear- Biossance has a natural retinol-LIKE ingredient. . .not retinol itself. And I usually put my PTR water drench over it.
I love Olay hydrating gel for daytime! Also the Biossance Peptide gel is great too!

I want to try Laneige’s lip treatment too! I have really dry chapped lips that even the humid Hong Kong weather can’t cure, haha. Thank you for the links! 🙂

Kate:
How do you keep your pets from eating your plant(s)? I, too have a black thumb but attribute it to cat roommates as an excuse.

I picked up a sample of the Biossance Serum to try before I purchase, to make sure it doesn’t break me out. But I’m confused because the directions say to apply to upper and lower eye area, but then the videos on Sephoras website and all the reviews would lead me to believe people use it over their entire face. Are you using it all over?

Hi!
I am wondering if you ever wear different nail colors than traditional – like mint or patterns? Or do you stick with neutrals?

No patterns for me 🙂 And Mint isn’t really my color right now, but I’m sure it looks great on you!
