Gift Guide: Gifts for Kids, Him, Her, or Anyone!

3 Podcasts I’m Enjoying

I’ve compiled a few gift guides for you today just in time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday! I’m a practical gift giver. I love thinking through ways a gift would help the recipient on a daily basis. I also try to think of something special that the recipient would use but not necessarily think to buy for his or herself!

one. two. three. four. five. six. seven. eight. nine. ten.

When I’m thinking through a gift for a woman, I like to think through functional packaging as well. So if I’m getting her jewelry, I’ll find a little travel jewelry case or something to “wrap” it in that also functions as a gift!

These are some of my favorite earrings and can be dressed up or down.

A silk pillowcase is a great gift idea because it may not be something she would buy for herself but it’s great to sleep on to preserve your hair for the next day!

p.s. this terry sweatshirt looks like something I’d live in on the weekends!ย

one. two. three. four. five. six. seven. eight. nine. ten.

My sister has a few long stemmed wine glasses and they are a fun change up from a classic wine glass!

Justin and I have a few lamps that are “smart” and operate via Alexa and it’s a fun thing to have.

This photo printer is a fun little gadget that makes it easy to print photos from your phone!

one. two. three. four. five. six. seven.

The tool Justin has used the most over the last year has been his meat thermometer. We wondered why we waited to long to get one!

I use the Yeti coffee mug for my morning coffee but thought it would be a great idea of a man in your life starts his day with a hot drink.

I had the bluetooth speaker on last years gift guide but it’s something Justin uses throughout the year so I had to put it on this years list as well!

one. two. three. four. five. six. seven. eight.

My kids would be happiest getting a bunch of huge pillows to take their forts to the next level. They much prefer to build things and jump around in the playroom instead of playing with little toys.

One of the best gifts the boys have gotten is the bounce house last Christmas. We use it nearly all year long and it’s the perfect toy for active boys that want to play! It’s also a neighbor magnet and whenever we blow it up in our front yard our neighbors come out to play!

My kids also love their Amazon Fire tablets. There are books, videos, and games that they can play based on their age range. You can set time limits as well for each activity!

The Y-Glider scooters have been favorites for my boys for a few years. David has transitioned to his bike now but they will both race on their scooters up and down our street.

I hope you got some good ideas from these lists! I tried to think of things that I’ve already used (or my kids have) and love so it will be a hit with your family and friends as well.ย I’ll be updating more gift ideas here if you want more ideas!

Love the ideas! I’ve wanted a silk pillowcase for myself for the longest time and I’m interested in checking out those Amazon tablets as well!

Thank you for the ideas! I always have problems with what to get for kids in my family – I see them once in a year so it’s hard to say what to get them and what’s popular ๐Ÿ™‚

Something I’ve noticed on these types of posts on your site: Would like to see the names of the objects shown – can’t tell if its a napkin or scarf? … or a hair tie or a bracelet? (with the “One/Two/Three…”) Understand that clicking generates revenue, but I do not click a link when I don’t know what the picture is showing, or where it might be linking to.

I sometimes forget that! I’ll try to remember to write the name of the item instead of just the #!

Hi Kate! Is there a way to make pictures on your blog bigger? The pictures in your gift guides are so small that I have no idea what they are. Iโ€™m sure there is a way to fix this!

Do you have a group on Sephora? Thank you for some great gift ideas. I clicked through to Amazon and/or Sephora and got a good bit of my gifts purchased. Happy Christmas season!

If your kids like to build forts, fort magic is a really cool toy to have! My boys love it!

Could you share what bike David is riding now? Santa is hopefully bringing one to our 4 year old son! Thanks!
