3 ways to keep humidity from ruining your hair

dress, earrings

I usually share any outfit photos over on Instagram, or on this bi-monthly newsletter, but I thought I’d chat through some of my most worn items of the summer so far.

I just had my third baby in the beginning of May so I’m definitely still rocking a postpartum body. My boys were both winter babies so it was a little bit easier to find clothes I was comfortable in when leggings and sweaters were in season.

80+ degrees means shorts, dresses, and tank tops which aren’t the best at covering up certain areas that I may be a little insecure about. But I realize I *just* had a baby so I’m cutting myself a little slack here in the body image department and just wearing what makes sense.

The plus side of less clothes in the summertime is that it makes nursing the baby a little easier. I’ve found some really cute button front tops and dresses that work perfectly for nursing but are not technically nursing tops. Anyone could wear them!

bag, jeans, top

My favorite scores were a few dresses by the Universal Thread line at Target. Does anyone else feel like this line is like a Madewell-inspired line of clothing? I love the color palette and how easy and casual the clothes are.

white dress, watermelon dress, blue plaid dress

I also found a few button front tanks from Anthropologie and Nordstrom. I love the looser, blouse-y fit for a lot of reasons, but mostly because it’s comfortable to wear on a hot day.

pink top, red striped top

I’ve been living in these sandals for the past month or so. They are all easy to slide into quickly, but still look polished and cute.

watermelon sandals, brown sandals(they run small), white and brown sandals

As far as comfortable lounge clothes, I’ve been loving these shorts from H&M. They are made from a nice thick material so you don’t feel like you’re on display, and are only $13!

p.s. here’s a super soft nursing tank, plus a cute belted tank top for summer!

You look beautiful! I love the tie front tops, they looks so pretty for summer and are a little more elevated than a t shirt. J.Crew Factory has some great ones too, I got the to efeont oxford and love it! xAllie

My second baby is due in a few weeks so this post is perfectly timed! When I was nursing my first, there was no way I could go without a bra. Do you have a bra or nursing cami you like to wear with the Universal Threads dresses? They are very cute, but all seem to have spaghetti straps, which makes it hard to wear a bra.

Love that beautiful loose dress you have added. It’s pity that it’s out of my size :/. Maybe you can offer any alternatives?
Yours,
Rita.
