2 Quick Styles When You Are Low on Time!
Cubicle Convos, Round two
Perhaps the most requested tutorials from readers include the words “fast, easy, or effortless”. Whether you are a mom and only have a few minutes in the morning to pull yourself together, or if you hit the gym each day and don’t want a long routine, I’m sharing 2 ways to style your hair really fast using 2 impressive tools by T3!
The T3 Featherweight Compact Dryer and the T3 Singlepass Compact flat iron are the only tools I use in these looks, other than a clear elastic and a few pins. Both tools are really great for traveling, or transporting in a tote to the gym, that don’t lack in power and effectiveness!
When smoothing your hair with the flat iron, don’t let the size make you take small sections! You can still take normal size sections and get them nice and smooth despite the compact nature of the iron!
Do you have a super quick style that you default to when you are in a rush? Please share in the comments! ALSO, I’m excited to be offering a sweepstakes to win a T3 Featherweight Compact blow dryer and the T3 Singlepass Compact flat iron! Click here to enter!
**UPDATE: Use promo code: SMALLTHINGSCOMPACT to receive a FREE SinglePass Compact iron with the purchase of a Featherweight Compact dryer.

Great tutorial! Thank you!
Is there a way to get rid of the giant ad that takes up a quarter of my screen? There is no “X” to close it! It all of a sudden appeared yesterday!
I get it too and mentioned it in a comment last week. I can’t get rid of it!
Now it disappeared after I posted my comment….weird!
I get it too, but mine has an X i can click..

Love these! Also, your skin looks flawless and SO glowy in these pics-what foundation are you wearing?
I use my flat iron to curl the front pieces on my day 3 hair, and pull back the rest. I love the way the flat iron curls!
Hi Kate,
Quick question – how long have you owned the T3 flat iron? Keep up the great work on publishing this fresh content! Elley
Great blog! Love this post 🙂
? Loved seeing a quick straight hair tutorial! More please!
My hair is so thick wish I could do my hair most days! I usually scrunch it and wear a cute headband;) thank you for giveaway- your tutorials are awesome!
Enjoy your sweet day!
Hey Kate, I think this answers your question on snap chat as to if you are the only one who has their kids roll cars on their back: https://m.spreadshirt.com/tshirt+play+mat-A13941244?department=2&productType=347&color=F7CBD0&appearance=386&view=2 How fun is that?! They sell different versions on other sites (including etsy) as well.
Thank you for the excellent tutorials, Kate! I will be visiting North Carolina in July for the first time ever. With that in mind, I definitely need all the help I can get in trying to prevent really bad hair days (my hair quickly melts in humidity). The several options you provide are very helpful. So thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
Hi Kate,
Have you ever tried doing loose waves by putting your hair in a ponytail first, taking large sections and curling it, then taking the ponytail out? I saw this in a picture tutorial on Pinterest and tried it, but it didn’t turn out like it was supposed to. Would love for you to do this in a video! Thanks 🙂
LOVE that bun! Your hair is gorgeous!

HI Kate, Thanks for all of the great tutorials. Can you tell my the brand of the vented brush you are using? TTanks
Very cute ideas. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you. You are helping me become myself again!
I am a stay-at-home mom and is currently drowning my hair out from an inverted bob. It has grown a lot since I started the process, but it can be a little discouraging because I am inpatient on how long it takes to grow out. When I am at home I usually just throw it up in a low pony tail/ bun look..but if I decide to grace the world with my presence and not look like the walking dead I tend to blow dry it so it has a wavy look..then I do a loose wave/curl to give it a smoother finish with my hair straightener. That is my fastest look if I want it to look more presentable and put together. I just can’t wait for it to totally grow out.
I have been using the OGX Nourishing Coconut Shampoo/ Conditioner, I love it…smells great!
Any other recommendations from anyone that has grown their hair out from a inverted bob??
biotin supplements!!
When my daughter did chemo and lost her hair, I cut min into a very short pixie cut… we grew it back out together. Hers grew faster than mine u til I started takin biotin supplements.
Hi, there! What brush are you using in this video, Kate?
Thanks!! 🙂
Oh, I could sure use these T3 products. They’d be perfect for travel and for replacing my favorite flat iron that died last week and is no longer made.
I used to do so much with my hair but have gotten really lazy lately. A half-up has been my go-to. I miss “fixing” my hair.
I love the first hair style!

Can’t wait to try the first hairstyle you did. It will be like a breath of fresh air from the usual time-consuming styling! That’s the same style as your “hair up for wearing glasses” tutorial aye?
How do you keep your hair from having the halo of short hair wisps?! I use a ghd and can never get my hair super smooth. Tips on products to use? Love your blog & Snaps! Xo

I tried to use the subtitles for the video this evening–something I don’t normally do–and I have to say WOWZA those are interesting!
I love this tutorial!! So amazing and looks super easy. I’ve heard soo many things about T3 tools. I really want their curling wand.

The low bun is so cute!
i love this tutorial!! and the bun look cute.
i can’t wait to try it
Awesome tutorial! Aka just what I need to stop throwing my hair up in a basic messy bun or ponytail. I’ll definitely be trying these 🙂
Thank you for giveaway!
This short haired (above my shoulders) girl is weeping at the things I can’t do with my hair! Sigh…continue the grow out process lol
Oh pick me! Pick me! I’d love to win both! And I love your hair tutorials too 😉
I did the first hairstyle today, and loved it! So easy.
Kate,
I love your haircut. How would you describe it to a stylist to replicate?
Hey! Absolutely loved this tutorial. Thanks for sharing. You look great! 🙂
My favorite on-the-go style is to french braid my hair, then tuck the tail up into the braid and pin it into place. I use a lot of hairspray to keep it all held in place. It gets all of my hair up and back, so it’s nice for warm weather. Also, this works great for those of us with short hair!
So helpful! I just recently found your blog and I just love it! Keep up the awesome work!
Just wanted to say thank you for that great quick hair tutorial. We had a super busy weekend and I was able to get to all the kids activities and still look put together with this bun. LOVE IT!!!
Hi Kate, This is awesome. I usually use Babyliss Pro but I am ganna try this.
The Promo code is not working? Is it expired?
I love this! I am always in dire need of new quick hairstyles, so I can’t wait to try this one out
I like the bun thing, but the flat iron does not work on my hair. I’ve tried a bunch of different ones, a bunch of different ways. My hair is super fine so maybe it’s just not meant for me. BTW, anyone ever tell you you kind of look like Jennifer from Days of our Lives? Ok, I have no idea if she’s still on because it’s been about 25 years since I watched LOL …. but it certain shots you look like her. That’s a compliment 🙂
Amazing stuff.Something every hairstylist should know.
Keep ’em coming
