Makeup Papers, a review
Do you listen to music when you are working on a project? My sister does and while she helped decorate my house and I was reminded about how nice it is.
So I’ve got Pandora running in the background while I write this but I’m not a great multitasker so if a random word pops into this post it’s because I heard it while I was typing.
I don’t think I ever told you that I almost officially wrote Justin’s full name as Justin Bingo on Luke’s official hospital paperwork? Did I?
I had forgotten to fill out the forms online week after week after week and finally I decided to just do it one day while David sat on my 36 week pregnant lap at the computer. Well, after many attempts to block him from pulling off the “n” key from the keyboard, I just opened a new window of YouTube and searched for “kid nursery rhymes” and Bingo came up.
So he’s immediately engulfed in the video and I begin filling out the information online. “And bingo is his name-o” plays in the background and when I check over the final draft before I hit submit I realize I literally wrote the word Bingo in for Justin’s last name.
Luke, welcome to the world. Your father’s name is Justin Bingo. Don’t be concerned.
Since I find things exponentially more funny when I pregnant I’m pretty sure I laughed for a good hour or so about that, and decided I should fill out that important paperwork when I can focus entirely on it.
Sometimes the simple things become the greatest struggle with little chitterlings*.
In other news, I’ve been wearing Butter London’s Ladybird on my toe nails for the past month and I haven’t been this committed to a color other than grey for awhile.
I feel like I’m finally coming up from basically drowning in travel, moving, travel, visitors, unpacking, cleaning, mom-ing, and getting settled in the new house. I love being busy, I love having visitors, I love mom-ing**, I do not love moving, I do not love unpacking.
Mr. Bingo is preparing for his climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro soon despite being struck down with Mono. Yeah, he has mono. So far I’m in the clear but I’m certain I’ll start coming down with symptoms the day or two before he leaves. Murphy’s law reigns true in my life with that sort of thing. But really, I hope he’s back at 100% come August so he’ll feel good about the climb!
Anyway, just wanted to chime in with a little life update. I read an article yesterday about how blogs were shifting away from the personal stuff and it compelled me to share more of my personal albeit rather boring stuff because that is what I love about blogs.
Lastly, I have a giveaway from one of my favorite small businesses. I discovered Allisa Jacobs years ago and have a bunch of her products! Her fabric choices are perfection and the quality is fantastic. She has some new items in her shop and I’m excited to be giving one of you a chance to win a mini gift pack from her!
The winner will receive an organizer, a checkbook cover and a large bag. The bag is great for makeup but can be used for just about 1 million other reasons as well. And the best news? You can pick whatever fabric print you would like! Enter by using the giveaway tool below! Open internationally!

Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you Monday with a new hair tutorial!
*a word Justin uses to refer to the children aka chit’lins that I just learned the proper definition of. Sorry ’bout calling you that, boys.
**the drama is in full force over here in the Bingo household. 1.5 years old has proven to be full of testing boundaries and literal meltdowns. I know why they call them meltdowns now because David literally melts to the floor as if I’ve crushed his entire soul by telling him he cannot play with the power drill. It’s like he’ll never find another toy. Nothing will ever satisfy his being agai—::runs excitedly over to shopping cart and shrieks with joy:: Yeah he’s fine.
