All-American Girl Makeup Look with Mary Kay
A Functional and Pretty Vanity
So, I took this opportunity to do the look on myself and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The best word that comes to mind to describe it is “fresh.” I loved the brightness of the eyes mixed with the warm, brown eyeliner. I think black eyeliner would have been too strong for this soft makeup look. To start, apply Mary Kay® Cream Eye Color in Pale Blush all over the lid.
Pick up a bit of the Mineral Eye Color in Precious Pink and press it onto the outer corners of your eyelids.
Focusing on a bolder line at the outer part of your lid, I used the Mary Kay® Eyeliner in Deep Brown on my upper lash line.
Curl your lashes with your favorite eyelash curler, and then apply a few coats of Mary Kay® Lash Love Lengthening Mascara in I ♥ Black. I loved the separation and length of this mascara. There was absolutely zero clumping. Because it’s a lengthening mascara, there wasn’t much in the way of thickness or volume, but it definitely added some noticeable length to my otherwise pathetic eyelashes.
Add a pretty pop of pink to your cheeks with the Mary Kay® Mineral Cheek Color in Strawberry Cream.
And last, but not least, apply a sheer pink lip gloss. Here I used Mary Kay® NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss in Fancy Nancy.
I was really surprised to see how bright and awake my eyes looked! And I immediately began thinking through how pretty a rich, chocolate brown eyeshadow in the crease would look as a compliment to the soft pinks.

I’d encourage you to be creative with a new makeup look this spring, you may be pleasantly surprised like I was and find a new go-to look. Mary Kay® provided the products used in this tutorial.

You should try the original lash love mascara in black. It’s much better than the lengthening. It lengthens but still gives you amazing volume without clumping. (not a consultant, just a happy user).

I like the All American look. I used to shy away from pink eyeshadow because I was in theater, and they always told us not to wear pink eyeshadow because it would make us look like we were sick on stage. Now I love it, it’s so pretty and feminine when you aren’t in crazy lighting 😉

All American Girl is GREAT! Mark Kay has really come a long way. They have really re-branded their product making it fresh, light, airy, and young. I used to steer clear of this line because of the red lipstick and caked on foundation. Now, I have used a bunch of their stuff, and they have high quality fresh-faced stuff. Thanks for sharing how you apply the makeup and what you used!

My favorite look is the All=American Girl look 🙂
It definitely suits you very well! Mary Kay has some very high quality makeup but does not get a lot of attention. My favorite concealer is by Mary Kay, is cream formulation, and comes in a tiny black tube (it used to be a little bigger and in a silver tube). It has great coverage and does not cake on moisturized skin! There are a lot of high-end concealers that cannot compete with this concealer.
