5 things to buy/try/do with Grace of Camp Patton
As if photos of my newborn son weren’t precious enough, Jordan shot a little video capturing a few moments from our newborn session this week.
And I cried when I watched it. And then I watched it 45 more times.Â
Luke and David have been such immense blessings to me and Justin, it’s impossible to even put it into words.

That made me tear up, such a beautiful video! Newborns are the world’s greatest gift. I have 3 boys of my own, my youngest being 18 months. We’re done having babies, but this made me ache for one more!
I cried too! This is so sweet.
Oh my, that truly captures the pure joy of welcoming a new little human to the world! Congratulations on this newest addition to your beautiful family!
This is beyond beautiful. I have to remember to do this with our last baby, so I can remember what that euphoria is like.

Ugh! Pass the tissues please! Beautiful video Kate.
How precious! That video brought tears to my eyes. Even though my son is is now 26, I still remember the day he was born and what it felt like to hold him. You never forget. Luke is absolutely beautiful! Congratulations!
Kate,
Congrats, and yes, this is touching and beautiful! Some of these photographers are certainly so talented, and Jordon is no exception; I think capturing the beauty of a newborn is one of the most challenging for amateurs. That moment when you’re gently touching your newborn’s head: perfect.
Well he is just beautiful Kate. This made me cry!!!! Can’t wait to see Luke and David grow up and be the wonderful boys you and Justin will raise them to be! Blessings to you and your family.
Kate, Luke is precious and the video is a wonderful treasure keepsake.
God has blessed you with a wonderful beautiful family. So happy for You
and Justin. Blessings…
Absolutely beautiful Kate, congrats on your precious baby!!
What a sweet sweet baby. Love this video!
I wanted to mention to you that I watch my nearly 16 month old grandson a few days a week and he isn’t very verbal. I think he’s just going through a phase, but I’ve been saying to him (to encourage babbling), “ducka ducka ducka.” He grins at me and giggles always. Maybe soon he’ll start saying it! I think you’re on to something!
That is just awesome!
So sweet! I think everyone has a big ole case of baby fever now! 😉
You’re killing me!!! He’s too die for. He reminds me so much of my own little Lukey Dukey when he was first born. Congrats to you and Justin and David.
P.S I love Boy Biblical names.
This video is just magical. Congratulations!!
Beautiful baby and beautiful video! Sure makes me miss the newborn stage. Congratulations!
This is so precious. I am waiting for my baby girl to arrive (12 days and counting) and this makes me so happily emotional. Congratulations to your sweet family.
Hi,
I recently started reading your blog, and I LOVE it. And, since I am pregnant with my first, I am loving your newborn posts. This is just precious. Thanks for posting.
-Abby
He is so beautiful! Congratulations! I wish you all much sleep. 🙂
I think that is the most precious thing I have ever seen. He is so adorable! I miss having a little newborn around.
Oh. My. Gosh. This brought tears to my eyes and a big ole’ smile on my face. I think he looks like David, too, except at one point in the video where I think he looks just like Justin.
And I LOVE.. LOVE.. LOVE the names you gave them both. Names they can grow up and be proud of. I have to be honest I am not a big fan of some of the crazy names and spellings that people give their children these days. The daughter of my best friend named her little girl Hazel and I love it!
What a beautiful video – I wish I had something like that, from when my girls were babies.
Sweet baby cheezits this video makes me another…and we already have 6. (Oldest are twins who will 16 this summer down to a 5.5 year old). I love babies. Can you tell?
*want. I can’t type due to cuteness overload
Talk about baby fever! Congrats Kate and family. He is absolutely precious!
This made my uterus ache. Seriously!
Such a beautiful gift!! Love the video!
great video! your baby is perfect, a resemblance between the two of you is already visible
Oh my gosh. How precious!! What a treasure. He is a doll and you look amazing! Congratulations!!
Absolutely beautiful. I’m due with our 2nd boy in April…this just made me even MORE excited to welcome our little guy to our family! Thank you for sharing these precious moments with your family!
This video is so precious! Congratulations to your family on the arrival of Luke!
Amazing! Wish I had something like that with my two. Awesome keepsake. God is good 🙂
As the grandmother of 3….I cried too, Beautiful, no other words!
Kate! Oh my goodness, you have the most beautiful family. This sweet video gave me goosebumps all over & I definitely teared up. She really captured the beauty of having a newborn at home. Thank you so much for sharing sweet Luke with us! xx
What an AMAZINGLY perfect little blessing! Love it. 🙂
Absolutely perfect. It made me cry too!
Simply beautiful! What a treasure to have. Blessings to you and your family.
Tears!! What a beautiful video. Congratulations to you and your family! He is precious!
He is so handsome and the look of love just emanating from you and Justin is amazing, it made me feel the love! Enjoy your two blessings 🙂
Oh my goodness, I have balled like a baby watching this! Could be because I’m now 32 weeks preggo and my hormones are that of a massive roller-coaster! But for whatever reason…this is priceless!!
He’s just lovely. What a wonderful little family.
Precious doesn’t even come close to describing it!! Thank you for sharing! Enjoy those sweet baby snuggles!!!
woah. THE sweetest
Made me tear up, too. AND, captured all of those precious newborn things that are gone all too soon- the wrinkles, the soft furry lanugo, those sweet reflexive hand movements, long skinny fingers, soft sweet feet…..All that’s missing is the sweet baby smell. Thanks for sharing.
He’s Precious! What a lovely video. A big congrats to all of you! Welcome to the world Luke:)
Wow he absolutely beautiful!! Congratulations! Makes my hormonal mind say its about time for me to have a baby too!
Beautiful, just beautiful……all of you.
What a beautiful little boy! That video is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing!
Goodness Kate! Make me cry too why dontcha?!
I shed tears of joy for you and your family. I know there are people who have recently started following your blog and rejoice as well in the new life, but I have been following “The Small Things Blog” since [almost] the beginning just by stumbling upon your video on YouTube.
(I was in serious need of someone to teach me hairstyles! Thank God for Kate Bryan!)
Anyways, you and your family mean a lot to me even though I have never met you guys and being. Just reading your blog posts and watching God work in your lives is just awesome to me. That is why I shed those tiny tears.
Because I have seen the struggle [via blog posts] about how you and your husband were having a hard time conceiving.
I remember my prayers for you guys and celebrating with yall as you announced your first pregnancy!
And now to see this PRECIOUS video of your newest miracle just brought tears to my eyes. God is so good Kate!
Also I love that you picked the name Luke. The Biblical meaning of Luke is Hebrew for the bringer of light. And David of course: meaning is beloved.
You could not have said it better, you are immensely blessed! <3
This is amazing! What great memories that were captured!
Oh what preciousness! I love his awake little self just kicking and moving and looking…!! And the portion of the video with you stroking his sweet hair and soft skin makes me want to rewind time and cuddle my newborns all over again. Congratulations to you!! Been reading your blog for years, and I’m just thrilled for you!
Precious!!! And I LOVE the closed little fists of newborns! One of the sweetest things ever!
Precious!!! Jordan is so very talented!! I kept thinking I was watching a sweet baby commercial of some sort. 🙂
Oh my goodness, that was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen and I need a video like this when I have kids!
He is so beautiful!
Congratulations, Kate!! He is beautiful!!
OMG! He is so precious!

He is so perfectly made…. tears!
Now that I’m a mess of tears and snot… at this exact moment in one week I’ll be going in for my second c section as well. I’ve been so nervous about a 3rd child and how we’ll manage. Thank you for showing how much all of that doesn’t matter. He’s is precious and beautiful and perfect.
That is so beautiful.
Congrats on baby Luke!! This so beautifully captures those precious, fleeting newborn days… Enjoy.
Love your nail color – what polish is it?
I cried too!!!
Oh my goodness, Kate. That just about made ME cry! How beautiful!! He is gorgeous!
Wow, this is absolutely precious! I love it.
Sob Sob Sob!!!!! SO precious! I want to this when we have our first little one! :);) Congrats Kate!!
Oh my gosh, how precious!
This is so sweet. Every now and then I decide that I do not want children. And then I see something like this, and I am overcome with a desire to have more than I can count.
I have to say that I use to “pop” in and look at your hair tutorials- ok stalk them. Lol- not in a crazy weird way but an “i admire you way” so I could try to teach myself way?make sense? I hope so.
But now that your a mommy (im a mommy) I really enjoy seeing David & now your new baby Luke. oh my goodness. They are just adorable & precious! Maybe that is what you should have named them? Lol
There is nothing like the love we have for our children. Its something that is beyond words hard to describe-until you have them yourself.
Its the best gift & blessing we could ever be given. We have 2 girls and they are close in age- & they are fun to dress up(ok- we have a 9yr old that refuses to dress in anything other than jeans & tshirts) please help me- thank goodness our little is a girly girl! Lol- But I love that our girls can play together and get along (as good as siblings do) You will love it! They will have more things in common. Enjoy every moment just cuddling them bc they grow up so fast!
I would give this to my daughter who is having her first child. This would be awesome.
The video was beautiful. Enjoy every single second with your two baby boys. My baby boys are now grown and my oldest is married and poised to start his family. It happened so fast and I miss those little dudes! As crazy busy, tired, and stressed as you are now, try to stay in the moment and enjoy even the not-so-great stages, because they are over in an instant.
I stumbled across your website a few years ago and your tutorials have been such a saving grace for me. You have shown me and I am sure many other women that it is possible to create what I thought was impossible and for that I thank you.
This is a beautiful video of you new son and you have such a beautiful family.
I love your blogs they are uplifting and such lovely idead
The happiest of birthdays to Luke! I hope he has a very blessed year! ??
