Different Plans
Style Inspiration: lace shorts
I had different ideas for my post today but they didn’t pan out.
It’s a long story, and one I plan to share here on the blog when I’m in the right mood to write it. It’s one of those times in life that I’ll look back on and laugh while shaking my head.
Anyway, My mom and sister are visiting this week and I love seeing the way David interacts with them.
He stares at Lauren, just taking in every detail of her. It’s so cute. He often gives her a smile like he’s flirting with her too.
He laughs easier with my mom than with anyone else. She tickles him and you can tell that he knows what to anticipate now when she starts to walk her fingers along his feet.
Within about 4 hours of my mom and sister being in Raleigh, they picked up an adorable little hat that I’ve often joked about picking up for David myself.
I’ll leave you with that photo today because it’s Wednesday, and a little cute never hurt anybody on a Wednesday.

ahhh baby hats are the best!! My little guy keeps his on for approximately 10 seconds but I can’t resist putting one on him anyway, just for a pic or two (or three million).
Seems like your family has been able to see David quite a bit considering they live a plane ride away. That is so great!
Sometimes the best plans get set aside due to timing. π
Davis is adorable as always and I LOVE the hat!! If I could only get my son Aiden to keep a hat on his head…
Omg, that baby is so cute and got style. Haha, great post as always β‘

Oh my goodness, David is so cute! I love that hat on him, it is so precious!!
Super cute hat! Hope you enjoy the time with your family. It always brings me such joy to watch my Mom interact with my girls. They have a very special bond that will be treasured forever.

Unplanned Family moments are the most precious ones. Your son is absolutely the most little boy in this outfit. Have a blessed day!
Love it!!!! David is just adorable π look forward to your posts daily… Enjoy your mom and sis!!!!!
Love, love, love this post and of course the adorable picture of David. Kate – you and your family rock!
Ahh….plans going awry. Happens to the best of us. Fortunately, there isn’t much in life that can’t be fixed with a cute hat.
David is so so cute! I love his fedora! These days never come back π

Great post anyway! I hope everything is okay!
He is so cute I can’t even handle it. I mean. THOSE LEGS. I want to squeeze his little face off (in a totally non-violent way, of course)!
haha, your comment made me laugh out loud!
I always make a schedule in my planner, of what I want to blog about the next two weeks…and more often than not, things get shifted around! It’s hard to write about something if you’re not feeling inspired.
Enjoy your mom/sister’s visit!
That hat! So stinkin’ cute on David!
He’s such an adorable little man. That hat is SO perfect for him. I’m so happy you’re getting so many visits from your sister and your mom! Family first, for sure!
So Cute….
He is so cute! Happy Wednesday to you!
Look at the little man styling his chapeau! Love it!
I hope the long story you are referring to is about the issues you had with the photographer! I have been wondering what exactly happened ever since you first discussed it.
David is adorable! It’s so great that he is able to have a relationship with your family even though you live so far away from each other!
Hey, no it’s completely unrelated. That was a really frustrating experience that I don’t want to rehash with an entire blog post. Long story short: she never gave me the photos she took of David as a newborn. I never saw a single image. She does this repeatedly and I was simply her next victim. She was recommended by a friend, so I didn’t bother researching her. Lesson learned. She was featured on our local news channel as they tried to get in touch with her to help others like me who were screwed over but she failed to maintain contact with the news crew as well. In a nutshell, she’s a terrible, terrible business person with a strange interest in destroying peoples’ special moments and memories.
It’s interesting that Amy mentioned the photographer incident – I was wondering how that all panned out for you too – hopefully well.
Back on topic! Love the little hat on David – I almost bought my lil’ guy one this past weekend but he rocks the paperboy style hats on a fairly regular basis.
Thanks, as always, for giving us a peek into your life as a momma! I love seeing how you’ve naturally fallen into the swing of being a mom. And, I love your honesty about parenthood too! π
Enjoy your visit with your mom and Lauren!
Cheers,
Candace

ADORABLE! Sometimes, lessons learned are hard, but hopefully others have learned in the MEANtime. Just found your blog today and will continue to follow. Family is an important part of my life also and it is refreshing to see Family A priority in this time and age! π
