5 Things I Wish I Knew Before David Arrived
I straight up love seeing my Julep box in my mailbox. As soon as I grab it, everything else stops, I grab my scissors to slice off the tape and open it up.
I audibly said, “OOoooooooo” as I opened the blush. It’s such a pretty peach color called Peach Bellini. Allow me to be cliche and say it’s perfect for spring. How appropriate.
The nail polishes are a bit electric for my usual taste, but I’m sure they’ll end up on my toe nails at some point this summer. I like to keep it semi-subtle on my fingernails, but bold on my toe nails.

I subscribed to Julep after I started reading your blog. They send me the pink blush, do you know of a way to exchange it with the peach?
on the 20th of each month, you can go to the julep website and select which box you’re getting. It’s pretty cool. I chose the peach blush. Just remember, it’s an open window on the 20th of each month for like one or two days.
Oooh! I got the same box and haven’t done a test run with the blush yet. Now I can’t wait!

Just received my second box. I have the same colors, and I agree with you on the polish. Very bright! Love them for summer toes though. 😀

I got the exact same box! I was thinking the same thing about the polishes, too, but I’m thinking in the middle of summer they will be much better. How nice was the blush packaging? I thought the plastic covering was so cute – it’s little details like that that really make Julep stand out to me
I LOVE Julep! I did the free box but then discontinued it because finances are a wee bit tight right now, but as soon as it fits in the budget I will get a Julep subscription. 🙂
Love Julep!!! As someone who has massive allergies to formaldehyde, I can’t use a ton of polishes. Finding Julep was like finding the Holy Grail – gorgeous polishes, in tons of colors, shipped to my house every month? YES PLEASE!

Do you still use the Essie 3-way Glaze? I ususally use Essie Good to Go! over my Essie/OPI polish, but thought I’d try the 3-way Glaze as you had said it keeps your polish lasting quite a long time. I found the 3-way Glaze to take a very long time to dry and get hard, and was tacky for a long time, too. I used it as base and and topcoat. Is this what it’s like for you?
I don’t know about blush but a bellini sounds delicious right now.
I got the same box and I love the blush! The bright pink polish went right on my toes. I figure I’ll rock the orange when I go on vacation this summer. For those who were wondering, that box is the “Classic with a Twist” style profile.
Does anyone else dislike how powdery the blush is? It makes a big mess in the package and in my sink. It does, however, smell awesome.
well you aint seen ELECTRIC till you see MY julep box. I got BRIGHT emerald green like Wizard of Oz green- and POT O’ Gold yellow…HELLO! I did get the bellini blush too. and I was stoked about it!

Love these colors!! I used to get Julep back in the day when they first started their subscription program! I ended up cancelling it because I thought the nail polish chipped way too fast! Is it better now?

Would you say you like your julep box more than your birchbox? i feel like you are always raving about your julep box, but not as much as your birchbox. i only have room for one in my budget and wanted to get your opinion!

I got the same box. I’m totally digging the blush. also make my husband excited because he knows this means one less trip to ulta. he hates when i utter the term “i need to go to ulta” haha
I can’t say enough good things about julep. I love the fact that you can choose which box you’re getting each month and also opt out if one does not appeal to your tastes. I also love the secret shop they have after the box where you can get some great deals on items!

Loving my Julep subscription! April was my first month too… And I’m also “Classic with a Twist” got brave and wore the pink on my fingers…. And received a TON of compliments! I was super shocked and happy! Also agree about that blush. Gorgeous!! Been wearing it every day this week. 🙂
I received my Julep Maven box yesterday. I received the blush and bronzer. I was a little apprehensive when I first opened them because they seemed really shimmery, but they weren’t nearly as shimmery when I put them on. My only complaint is that both the bronzer and blush are very messy. It’s not as compact as I would expect and looks like it may end up wasting a lot of product. I love my Julep Maven boxes. I especially love that I know what I am getting and that I can skip a box if I want.
Love LOVE love the blush!!! I usually wear minimal makeup because I hate my skin and feel like it always looks caked on and still doesn’t cover my pores! So it was nice to just use my BB cream and this blush and I felt like my face looked so refreshed!!! I am a big fan of your nail polish colors though! I didn’t care for my colors this month, I got a weird yellow (like mustard) and a turqoise metalic color that I will probably never wear. Yours are too cute!
