Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation: a new favorite

I may have a new favorite foundation.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a fair amount of time you may have heard me talk about the Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation. It’s been a favorite of mine for a few years now.
Just for kicks, I started shopping around to find another foundation that would be similar to the Arbonne foundation. I was also open to finding something with a little bit lighter coverage, but would still leave my skin looking even and healthy.
Several of you recommended Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. And a few even recommended the light version. So I stopped by the counter on my way out of a department store and tried both on my hand.
The Double Wear foundation was definitely a full-coverage foundation. I could tell immediately. Double Wear light was a great amount of coverage, but felt a little lighter and like my skin would breathe a little bit.
I thought I’d give the Double Wear light a shot, so I picked up the foundation at a makeup counter a few weeks ago and gave it a shot.
I really like the coverage as well as the light weight feel. It feels a little bit more “casual” than a full-coverage foundation, if that makes sense.
So, if you are in the market for a new foundation, I’d recommend giving this a try!

I use to wear the Double Wear foundation a few years ago and, yes, it is FULL coverage 🙂 I didn’t know there was a Light version. I think I may try it. Thanks for letting us know about it!
You have got to try Maskcara 3III. She has a fabulous blog and just came out with her line of makeup. I just got mine in the mail the other day and I LOVE IT!!
Have you ever tried Urban Decay Naked foundation? I like it much more than Arbonne. It’s much lighter, goes on smoother, and has the same covering ability.
I hear great things about Double Wear! I just wish the price tag wasn’t so hefty. Do you recommend any cheaper drugstore dupes?
Try Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation. I used to wear the regular Double Wear foundation by Estee Lauder, and found the Revlon version was a pretty good dupe for it, and have worn it ever since. (Plus you can often find Revlon coupons, and match that with Ulta’s -or Walgreen’s, etc- buy one get one 50% off, if you have one of those in your area!)

I wore the Double Wear Foundation for a year or so, until I decided I wanted to try to find a cheaper equivalent. I’ve been using Revlon Color Stay Liquid Foundation ever since. I feel like it stays put just as long as the Estee Lauder and provides the same coverage. Have you ever tried (or reviewed) it?
Very cool. I only use liquid foundation sometimes and I’ve been gripping my Chanel bottle forever. I’ll try this one! When I think of Estee Lauder, I think of my mom…and I’m totally turning into her!
I had major issues with Double Wear. That “full coverage” clogged my pores and led to severe acne! I switched to a mineral foundation (and not just any mineral foundation…Purely Cosmetics has the BEST stuff without all of those skin irritating chemicals found in most cosmetics) about two years ago and I have had beautiful skin and excellent coverage ever since.
The Double Wear Light is my favorite! The standard Double Wear is a bit too heavy, but the Light is perfect. Great coverage and a nice, light, breathable finish. So glad you liked it! I’ve been thinking of trying out the Arbonne,but now I might just stay where I’m at.
Welcome to the Estee Lauder club! I loooove the Light and it has been my go-to for like 5 or 6 years now. I love the look and doesn’t clog pores. I’ve worn it in the humidity of the south as well, nothing but love for this product! PS. This product lasts a really long time for me so the price tag isn’t an issue for how few times I need to replace it annually.
After all those comments singing its praise, I wondered if you got it. I was a Lauder girl for YEARS but moved on about 8 years ago when I started to have to wear foundation. The sweet consultant that counter could never find one that matched my skin. It was crazy. Hmmmm maybe I’ll try this.

I want to reply to mccart. Did you ever try praying about your problem? God has the only real answer to those things as He is THE hearer and answerer of prayer. It was pure coincidence your husband came back after the spell stuff, that has no power and in actuality denies God. God is the only loving heavenly Father as you cast your burdens on Him in faith. Thank Him for bringing your husband home you. I pray you will know God as your own and that you will come to trust in His Son Jesus Christ who He sent to save us from our sins.

Love love love the double wear foundation! Havent tried the light yet… instead I mix the foundation with my moisturizer. the foundation lasts almost twice as long and my skin gets a little extra moisture.

Though I really like this foundation but I try to keep myself away from artificial things to cake my face.(ofcourse, except from the parties)
Instead, in normal routine I go bare face and let my skin breath. I also prefer using some home made remedies to maintain that youth and supple skin.
