September Favorites
Comfy and Casual
Oh hey did you notice it’s October? Yep. Already 4 days in. Wowza.
It’s about 85 degree’s here so that’s awesome. . . . ly terrible. Too hot.
Anyway, I shot my September favorites video this week. It has a whopping, wait for it. . . wait for it. . . 4 products in it.
That’s right. Lots of favorites.
I don’t know, I just didn’t have a lot of new things. BUT the products I do talk about truly were my favorites for the month!
So, without further adieu, here is the video.
So, without further adieu, here is the video.
Mentioned: Caudalie Beauty Elixir, Essie Button
In other news, I stumbled across my very, very first blog ever. Back from the dark ages, AKA 2008. I thought it would be appropriate to do a dramatic reading of my VERY first blog post to you all. My friends Rebecca and Carrie had the absolute pleasure of hearing this reading in person, but video is as close as I can get you all to the real thing. They were actually the ones who pressured me to share this on the blog. And by pressured I mean told me that sharing it on the blog could potentially be the worst decision of my life.
I hope, from the bottom of my heart, you enjoy it.

Your dramatic reading is CLASSIC! LOL Best video ever. Thank you for sharing that with us!
I am ready to read the book!
Love MAC Wedge!! Great video as always 🙂
Xo,
Sincerely Miss Ash
This might be my favorite post/video of yours ever. I’m laughing so hard! Thanks for sharing and being willing to cringe at your first post like I have done with mine many times =)
I bought the Beauty Elixir about a month ago and actually haven’t been too impressed with it. The smell is wicked strong and it stings my face :(.
Return it!
I am SO glad there’s someone else out there who thinks hair past your shoulders is long! I’m just past clavicle length and loving it right now. My biggest problem is that when I put my hair up, it looks best with my face if I have a high pony or bun . . . which is still a bit of a stretch for me without going longer. But if I go past the point I’m at now, my hair gets stringy and weird and loses all volume–which leads me to chop it all off once again. Sigh. Vicious cycle, I tell ya! I do think your hair is super pretty at this length, but I’d love to see your style once you chop it!
I just put mascara on – and now i’m crying. hahahaha
What nail polish are you wearing? It looks like the perfect fall plum color.
Best. Video. Ever.
“Oh snap!” That made me laugh… brought me right back to 1999!
I have been using Caudalie cleasing water for a year now. I use it as a eye make up remover since my eyes are quite sensitive. I just love it! I’ve used quite a lot products of that brand and I can say they have got such a good range!
What color is your nail polish? It’s gorgeous!
don’t worry, i found the old blog. looks like i have some afternoon reading material!
oh man. don’t judge. 🙂
I looked it up but it has no posts and it’s another girl. Hmmm…..
It’s way too hot here too, can’t it be cool and crisp yet? I love Essie Button, a total fave!
Love your new video corner!
I adore that last post video- I have a bog- with awkward posts, and….haven’t been back on there for a post in oh- idunno- maybe 6-7 months??? I should start over at this point…how embarrassing!!!
Ohmygoodness – hilarious! Your dramatic reading is classic. You should do that more often! 😉 And regarding your Favorites Videos… I might need to stop watching them. I’m spending WAY too much money!! But I’m loving the products too… 🙂
You are HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 I just thoroughly enjoyed that…thank you!!!
Is anyone else having trouble getting the 2nd video to play?? Help! I want to see it SO bad!
Same. I can’t get it to work.
i couldn’t get it to play on my phone or iPad, but it worded on my desktop.. hope that helps 🙂
It won’t play on my iphone or desktop 🙁
What is the name of the beauty blog you mention in the September faves video?
Nevermind, I’m blind … it’s in Menitoned line under video. TGIF
Awesome video, Kate! (Referring to your first blog post.) Great encouragement and wisdom too. (Smiley face back at ya!)
Loved the dramatic reading!

I’m guessing Chinchilly on the nails. I just did mine in Commander in Chic last night.
Love your reading of your first blog post — too funny 🙂

Off the “wall” question, but what is the paint color? :). I love it.
Love today’s video! Do you think the cleansing water would be as gentle as Aveeno?? My face is so ultra sensitive that even the ultra sensitive Aveeno products can still make my face burn and sting slightly. It is so frustrating.

Quit spamming this beauty blog, you bot!
Thanks for the video. I have wanted to try the beauty elixir since the last time you mentioned it, and now I’ll have to look more into that line.
Love your lipcolor, is it the Urban Decay one? Such a pretty pink.
So happy you mentioned It’s a 10 products! I have their perfect 10 volumizer & have been wondering if you used any of their products.
I loved the products video, but I especially loved the dramatic reading. I really got a giggle over the bobbie pin character and, thank you for inspiring us newbie bloggers to keep going !
Thanks for the tip on wetting the makeup remover towels! I don’t know why the thought never occurred to me!
I can’t watch the second video. Is it also on your youtube channel?
Oh, boy! I love your dramatic reading video! Being new to blogging, I am cringing! Here’s to hoping I’m not a total cheese ball:)
Thank you so much for always reminding me to care for myself by little things that make a difference to keep me feminine inside and out! So helpful for us wives and moms! You always encourage me with your posts, so as a result I’m nominating you for a blog award! Congrats! You can receive it (if you wish) at http://thinkloveliness.blogspot.ca/ God bless~
I love your hair color and am going back to a lighter blonde at my next appointment. I saw the formula you posted for your color, but what level would you say your blonde highlights are lightened to? Thanks for all your great posts!!
How funny, I stumbled across my old blog 2 nights ago and it was so lolworthy. I loved reading it in a shameful way!

Kate, I have to know what nail polish you have on in your September favs video…..I just love it 🙂
That was so funny Kate — thank you for sharing! 🙂
Which It’s a 10 product are you referring to in the video?
Thanks for mentioning that Pureology is vegan!! I only buy and use cruelty free products. I would love if you did a post highlighting any makeup or hair products that fit into this category! They change so often I find myself liking a product (Almay for example) then finding out they are off the cruelty free list (I often use PETA’s guide).
That last video made my day. Probably my week.
