September Favorites

Comfy and Casual
Oh hey did you notice it’s October? Yep. Already 4 days in. Wowza.

It’s about 85 degree’s here so that’s awesome. . . . ly terrible. Too hot.

Anyway, I shot my September favorites video this week. It has a whopping, wait for it. . . wait for it. . . 4 products in it.

That’s right. Lots of favorites.

I don’t know, I just didn’t have a lot of new things. BUT the products I do talk about truly were my favorites for the month!

So, without further adieu, here is the video.

Mentioned: Caudalie Beauty Elixir, Essie Button

In other news, I stumbled across my very, very first blog ever. Back from the dark ages, AKA 2008. I thought it would be appropriate to do a dramatic reading of my VERY first blog post to you all. My friends Rebecca and Carrie had the absolute pleasure of hearing this reading in person, but video is as close as I can get you all to the real thing. They were actually the ones who pressured me to share this on the blog. And by pressured I mean told me that sharing it on the blog could potentially be the worst decision of my life.

I hope, from the bottom of my heart, you enjoy it.

I bought the Beauty Elixir about a month ago and actually haven’t been too impressed with it. The smell is wicked strong and it stings my face :(.

I am SO glad there’s someone else out there who thinks hair past your shoulders is long! I’m just past clavicle length and loving it right now. My biggest problem is that when I put my hair up, it looks best with my face if I have a high pony or bun . . . which is still a bit of a stretch for me without going longer. But if I go past the point I’m at now, my hair gets stringy and weird and loses all volume–which leads me to chop it all off once again. Sigh. Vicious cycle, I tell ya! I do think your hair is super pretty at this length, but I’d love to see your style once you chop it!

I have been using Caudalie cleasing water for a year now. I use it as a eye make up remover since my eyes are quite sensitive. I just love it! I’ve used quite a lot products of that brand and I can say they have got such a good range!

Love today’s video! Do you think the cleansing water would be as gentle as Aveeno?? My face is so ultra sensitive that even the ultra sensitive Aveeno products can still make my face burn and sting slightly. It is so frustrating.

Love your lipcolor, is it the Urban Decay one? Such a pretty pink.

Which It’s a 10 product are you referring to in the video?

Reply
Sara Klink says · 10.08.13

Thanks for mentioning that Pureology is vegan!! I only buy and use cruelty free products. I would love if you did a post highlighting any makeup or hair products that fit into this category! They change so often I find myself liking a product (Almay for example) then finding out they are off the cruelty free list (I often use PETA’s guide).
