I have a love/hate with these videos! I love everything that has your stamp of approval, my wallet hates that I turn around and buy it all! I bought the two eyeshadows when you featured them in an earlier how-to video and love them. First time I had tried Urban Decay shadows and I’ll be buying more.
Love the hair mask! I use it a little less than once a week (when I have time and I remember to!) And my hair is so soft and doesn’t make crackling noises like it used to. I have super fine hair and it doesn’t make it greasy either!
Yes, PLEASE keep doing these favorites videos! I consider you a very reliable and trusting source when it comes to product reviews. The only problem with these videos are that they make me want to go buy lots more stuff! LOL
I love the Urban decay colors you are wearing ( going to have to try them myself!). What were you wearing on your lips? The combination is really pretty. Thanks for sharing!
Love watching your videos, Kate. You have a relaxing voice, you’re straight forward, and tell it like it is. I learn a lot from you! Thanks for putting so much care into your social media. -Kristin
Heh…loved the video. You did make mention that you were wearing the eye shadow you were talking about in the video but didn’t specify if you were wearing the lip colors you talked about while doing this video….I love your lip color in this video, so….is it the same colors you showed as your favs???? If not, could you tell me what you are wearing? Thanks!!
I’ve used the Bobbi Brown corrector for my under circles for the past 5-6 years – best product ever! FYI: the Bobbi Brown counter at my local Nordstrom is often sold out of my shade. If you get hooked on the product, make sure to start looking for replacements when you’re there’s about 1/4 volume left over. I often buy two at a time, just in case.
Could you do a review of the Nars blush you posted on your Instagram yesterday?? I’m interested! I always have problems with powder blushes being either too intense or too red or not long lasting. I prefer cream blushes due to the fact I can control the coverage so much better but I’m looking to expand my horizons! 🙂
I seriously JUST walked in the house from ULTA looking at the Urban Decay eyeshadows. I loved them but didn’t know how the quality was for the price or which shade I would choose. Of course you would post about them today. Must go back out and purchase!! 🙂
I never take bloggers’ product recommendations, but yours are always too good to resist. Redken shampoos and conditioners have made SUCH a huge difference, I’m addicted to Aquage and now I want those UD eyeshadows. My face and hair thank you; my bank account does not. 🙂
BTW, congratulations on the baby news. I’ve been going through a tough road of secondary fertility (and miscarriage) after zero troubles conceiving my first, and I find myself re-reading your first post about your journey on a weekly basis. It’s helped me a lot.
Definitely keep doing these posts, I love them! I love a good hair mask, and I’ve really wanting to try some new polishes (Essie in particular) but I’m so cheap!! Kerri at HollyMuffin
I LOVE your “favorites” videos, I always end up trying out at least one new product from your suggestions-definitely going to try out the Urban Decay eyeshadows. Congratulations on your pregnancy, I am due in late November and look forward to empathizing with your pregnancy updates 🙂
I just read your “about me” section and realized we’re both Raleigh girls 🙂 I live in Dublin now, but Raleigh will always have a special place in my heart. My best friend is getting married this summer and I’m using one of your hair tutorials for my hair for the wedding. Love all the videos! NC hugs from me to you 🙂
I LOVE Urban Decay eye shadows! I spent a few hours in Ulta a couple months ago with one of their makeup specialists playing with them. She said it’s the only brand she wears, and now I understand why. You’re right, they go on so smoothly and don’t budge at all (even after a nap, ha!). I currently use Bust and Virgin on my eyes but think now I may have to try Tease. I have also tried Midnight Cowboy for my all-over color, but found the sparkles went all over my face, instead of just staying on my lids. Thanks for all the recommendations!
loved the video! you did a great job of explaining why you liked each item without totally dragging it out must try that deep conditioner! thanks for sharing your favorites! xx. gigi. food and beauty blogger @ http://www.gigikkitchen.blogspot.com
Kate, I need to stop watching your favorite things videos! Just cost me $80 at the Bobbi Brown counter! Well worth it though. I got the corrector/concealer combo and I actually look AWAKE this morning!
I absolutely love the Amika hair mask! I have thinner hair and it doesn’t weigh it down or make it so silky soft that I can’t do a thing with my hair! The first day I used it I received several compliments on the look of my hair. I think it is worth the splurge!!
I got the Ruby Wing nail polish in my Birchbox a couple months ago and I was super excited about it! Color-changing nail polish!? Best.idea.ever! I love the bright indoor pink color, but mine never really changed color outside 🙁 I’ll have to give it another try this summer.
I was wondering about your lip color in the video too. Since watching your videos I have subscribed to Birchbox. I received my first box in May and just an e-mail that my June box just shipped!
The researchers used a database of large U.S. hospital to analyze trends in the use of BMP2 for spinal surgery. Bone morphogenetic protein 2 is fibroblast growth factor that can induce the formation of new bone. They provide an alternative to using the patient’s own bone, usually the hip bone (iliac crest), as a source of grafts for spinal fusion procedures.
From 2002 to 2007, BMP2 has been used in approximately 340,000 surgeries. During this time, the use of bone morphogenetic protein is more than quadrupled, from about 24,000 to 103,000 procedures. More than 90 percent of these operations had spinal fusion procedures. BMP 2 is also used in some less common tasks, such as surgery for complex fractures.
Last studies have demonstrated the ability of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2 to achieve a solid fusion. A small pilot study in humans showed similar results with rhBMP-2 combined with biphasic calcium phosphate versus iliac crest autograft for posterolateral fusions.
I recently bought the Urban Decay Nakeds 2 palette and am loving it! Would love to see a tutorial on some combinations for the palette- I feel like I could do so much more with it!

That’s how I feel when I watch beauty vloggers too! 🙂 Glad you like the shadows–they are fantastic!

No more Arbonne Primer in the bunch?
I still use it, these were just some new (ish) monthly favorites
If you like color changing nail polish, you should try Del Sol! They have a ton of these polishes, and they don’t have a gross smell.

Would the Bobbi Brown corrector work on a 50 yr. old? I have fair skin with some lines around the eyes, so I wondered if this would be a good choice?
I love the way you did your hair in this video! I can never get side swept bangs to work on me, but yours look beautiful!
those blushes look great-I need to go make up shopping, thanks for the great video! x
Love the Essie nail polish, very similar to a Chanel one that was part of a limited edition!

I love these posts, thanks for continuing to share new favorites.

Wonderful post! I really want to try Bobbi Brown next time I find a counter I will have to snag me some of that concealer! Your makeup looks amazing!
