Hi Kate
I love this video of ask Kate. I really would like to see a tutorial of using a curling wand. I saw that you did one a while back when you had shorter hair, but would love to see you use it on your longer hair. I love using the curling wand, but have some trouble with curling around my face it never turns out just right love the look in the back though.
Thanks!

Hey Kate! Love these videos! What do you recommend using to apply a bb creme? I’m currently using Tarte bb and my fingers to apply but I feel like it may be wiping the product too much. Thanks!

Hi Kate! Can you recommend a brand of volumizing hair products that are available in Europe? I’ve been looking into buying the Aquage uplifting foam but it’s really expensive to get it shipped. Love your blog! Thanks!!

Terrific video! You have been so helpful! Since I found your YouTube channel/blog – I finally feel like I have control of my hair, and I love your product recommendations for hair and make-up. On the topic of foundation – pro make-up artist Lisa Eldridge did a wonderful series called the Foundation Course. This is her video on how to match color: https://youtu.be/cVVnn0myFeI
I found it so helpful since my face and my body do not match all the time (I’m fair, but my face can be darker and red in areas), and finding a natural looking foundation color has been a real journey for me.

More “Fresh in Fifteen,” please! That’s my life as a wife, mom, and teacher; what can I do quickly and still look like a lady. More, please! I love your quick and cute ideas. Plus, it’s highly entertaining and reassuring knowing I”m not the only one short on time.

Thanks so much for this video! I can definitely echo the above comment about finally feeling like I have control over my hair thanks to your videos and youtube channel. 🙂

I found this article on skin tones really helpful, also the tip that you can hold a piece of white paper up to your face and see if you look more yellow or more pink in comparison.

I love your comments about working out and living in workout clothes. I’m a new mom and relieved to hear I’m not the only one who lives in workout clothes in hopes I get to squeeze a workout in!

Hello Kate,
Wondering if you have any advise for oily hair. Over the past 2 years I have trained my hair to be washed every second day. This was a very disheartening task filled with tears, dry shampoo and even baby powder. I have tried so many types of shampoos and conditioners and even though my hair is fine I never use product except for hairspray.
Would welcome any and all suggestions.
Absolutely enjoy sharing in your blogging life.

Hi Sylvie! I also have fine, but very thick, oily hair. After months, I was able to wash my hair every other day without it looking completely disgusting on the second day. I didn’t use any dry shampoo or other products because I read the products interfere with your scalp’s oil production. The whole point in not washing is to get your scalp to stop producing so much oil, and the products cause it to continue doing so. Anyway, my hair still didn’t look very nice, and my scalp still seemed dry and itchy. I decided to wash my hair every third day just to see. After awhile, my hair started looking pretty decent on the second day even without any products. It would probably look even better if I styled it or something, but I don’t. It still doesn’t look awesome on the third day, but that’s what ponytails and messy buns are for! Counter-intuitive as it may seem, maybe try going another day between washings for a few months and see how it feels.

Hey Megan,
Wow your comments made my poor heart beat oh so fast! Just the thought of going a third day scares me. I will ponder on your suggestion and envy your courage!

I have fine hair, but a lot of it. It took weeks/months to get used to washing my hair every other day. I did learn a new trick that has been wonderful, though. Condition first, shampoo second. That has really helped my hair! Plus Dove’s Oxygen shampoo is great; I highly recommend it! Good luck!

I bought my hot tools gold curling iron because of you. 🙂 I must thank you. My last curling iron was the same one I used to curl my rockin’ bangs in 1992, and was my mother’s from the 1980’s. It was a Sears brand and rather skinny. I also did your quick curling technique from one of your videos (maybe fresh in 15) because I am impatient and don’t mess with my hair much. I loved it.

Hint: Curling irons from the 2010’s are much better than those of the 1980’s. Hairstyles are also better.

I’m breaking the rules a little bc I have an “ask Kate” question, but no Twitter account to ask it. (I know, I know. I’m both a dinosaur and a rebel). Anywho, I was wondering if you have any magic tricks for helping camouflage all the tiny stick-up hairs along my hairline. I recently had a baby and have super fine hair, but a lot of it. All the new growth/breakage sticks straight up, no matter what I do. Blow drying my hair upside makes it even worse. Annnnd, to top it off, I stand in front of a projector all day so it’s backlit and projected on the big screen behind me (I’m a professor). I’d love to hear your suggestions!

Hey Kate! Do you know of another place to buy the babybliss curling iron? The reviews on amazon say that its not a real babybliss and I tried to google it but I don’t know how to know if its real or not? Also what’s the name of that white curling iron you have? Thanks for all you do to inspire me and others to be beautiful inside and out!

Hey, Kate! I have to ask, are there any skin care products that you recommend for wrinkles or antiaging? I have a friend who’s selling skin care products (incredibly expensive) and when I see the before and after photos, it all looks the same only lighting is different. I’d rather buy something that works, is affordable and reccommeded by someone who isn’t tied to a commission.
Thanks!

Hello! First off, great video! You have such a nice and soft voice, which sounds odd, but it’s so true. I was curious to ask…what your snapchat? You mentioned it in the video and I would love to follow you.

Hi Kate & team! Your hair always looks good but man in this video it looks REALLY good! Loving the shine and it has the perfect amount of curl! After catching up on your older videos, I’m really loving the length and style of your hair at the moment 🙂
Anyways, my question is how your hair generally holds up in humidity, light rain, exercise, etc. Are you having to run for cover as soon as there is a hint of rainfall or can your hair withstand the natural elements?! Any products (I know, within reason!) you believe might help combat frizziness whilst in the midst of such an event will be interesting to hear.
Thanks to you all who make the blog possible as it is very enjoyable to read and to watch the videos!!
