3 Immediate Changes I Noticed After I Started Running
It felt like the new year started on Monday of this past week, instead of on January 1st! My kids are out of school for 2 weeks at the end of the year, and I’m grateful I can take some time off to rest and hang out with them until they go back to school on January 5th.
It was nice to get back into the rhythm this week, but I missed them at the beginning of this week when the house was quiet.
I’m looking forward to our Small Things Summit, which we do at the top of each year when we look back at the previous year to assess what worked, what didn’t, and what we want to adjust for this year ahead. These are always good times of reflection and planning with the whole team–which I love.
Work aside, I have my second half-marathon coming up at the end of this month. I had some pace goals in mind, but had to abandon them due to an injury in November and December. Thankfully, I’m feeling much better and can run again, so I’m trying to see if I can get back to my original goal for this next race!
I bought a Coros Pace 4 watch, and I’ve really enjoyed using it. It was between that and a Garmin, but I ultimately liked some of the aspects of the Coros better. I’ll write a blog post here about it once I’ve had more time with it, but so far, so good!
