Kelly’s Snack Mix

Smoothest Legs of your Life

You won’t be able to stop making it (or snacking on it!).

This is Kelly Mix. It’s a recipe that my sister-in-law gave to me a few years ago, and it went viral on Instagram when I shared it there. It couldn’t be easier to make, and there is a good chance you have every ingredient on hand in your pantry right now, so you could be snacking on this mix within about 2 hours if you hurry.

This snack mix calls for oil; I use vegetable oil, and when I shared this recipe on Instagram, I heard from many people that they were upset about the amount of oil used.

I haven’t tried an alternative to the oil when making this mix, so I don’t have any recommendations for you, but you’re welcome to test it with butter or avocado oil, or something else that is a little more catered to what you prefer to consume. Let me know if you have success!

Kelly’s Snack Mix // makes about 16 cups of snack mix

1 cup oil (vegetable or canola)

1 packet dry ranch seasoning

1 tsp dried dill weed

1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning

1 tsp dried garlic

variety of crackers for the mix (I use white cheddar Cheez-its, cheddar Goldfish crackers, pretzels, and mini Club crackers!)

In a large bowl, combine 16 cups of various crackers/pretzels. In a liquid measuring cup, add oil and seasonings, stir together to blend well. Pour over snack mix and stir to coat. Allow to sit for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Spread snack mix on the largest sheet pan you own and pop into a 250-degree oven for about 15 minutes. You may need to do this part in batches! Allow to fully cool before storing away in a sealed container.

Our snack mix lasts about 2 weeks in a sealed container on the counter.

Enjoy!

I loved this. I only use avocado oil and it was really good with that.

What form of garlic do you use; I’m familiar with powder, salt, dried, or fresh. Just wondering which you use.
