Just like so many of you, this week has felt long and heavy. The horrible news coming out of Western NC, as well as the other states in that area, is simply unimaginable. The loss is just a tragedy. We’ve done what we can from Raleigh to support the western part of our state by donating physical items as well as financially to a few causes. If it’s helpful, Samaritan’s Purse is a place that is accepting donations for Hurricane Helene relief.

My mom told me recently that she bought Jones Road makeup (the foundation) and asked me if I had tried it. I haven’t personally tried the foundation, but the other products from Jones Road that I’ve tried were just a big “meh” for me. I don’t like the tacky feeling left on the skin from the products. Again, this is just my personal take on these products!

A few other brands that were a bit of a flop for me are Westmen Atilier (their packaging is truly 10/10 but their products are just toooooo sheer!), It Cosmetics CC cream (it’s too thick/heavy), and Bondi Boost hair care products. My hair got SO frizzy when I started using these.

It’s so hard to know how to choose the right products when there are so many available! The good news is the internet and social media is full of reviews to help you make a decision!

This weekend we have a bit of hockey on the calendar but nothing else beyond that! I think the temperatures are finally going to cool down just a touch, which feels like a treat!
