A Shift in Motherhood

A word to define this year so far has been “shift”, but more on the personal/mental front than anything else. I’ve felt a shift in motherhood, like I wrote about yesterday, and I’m enduring a shift in my health that I shared a bit about on Instagram Stories. I’ll write a bit about that here soon.

We’re over halfway through the year, and at the turning point of summertime, and I’m very intentionally trying to keep the second half of the summer laid back, free, and easy. We traveled a bit during the first half, so I’m looking forward to more evenings at home, after-dinner swim sessions, and catching up with friends.

After tearing through two different pairs of the Funky Monkey slides from Amazon, I upgraded to the Birkenstock version. While they are a little bit stiffer than the Funky Monkey slides, they are still very easy to wear, have adjustable buckles, and feel like clouds! Shop here!

I finished off a tube of the Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint in Bare Punch and found myself missing it so I just repurchased. It’s a super easy-to-wear, sheer, hydrating lip product! Perfect for someone who would like a wash of color without the impact of a standard lipstick.

My eye always goes to these colorful dresses from Banjanan. This is also a pretty floral pattern at a budget-friendly price point!

FRESH launched a new beautiful shade of their Lip Treatment in the prettiest coral pink called Papaya. I bought it immediately and love the color so much. I always recommend these to people looking for a simple wash of color for their lips that aren’t interested in fussing with a full coverage lipstick.

And Wander Beauty launched a beautiful face palette (in two shades) that is ideal for traveling!

I have trust issues with OPI Cajun Shrimp (sometimes it is much redder than other times?!?) so my new favorite color for summer is Olive and June Hibiscus. I’ve worn it on my toes for the past several weeks. It’s such a pretty summer color.

This brush set from Amazon that is under $15 has tempted me so I bought it. I’ll give it a go and report back on my take on whether or not the brushes are decent!

Last amazon rec: My favorite hairspray of all time.
