2 New Bras that Hit All the Marks

I’m back to shoulder-length hair, and couldn’t be happier about it!

Here are a few images of my hair styled straight (learn how I did it here!)

And here are a few photos of it curled with a flat iron.

Love this length on you, but I kinda think you could go a bit shorter! Headed that direction?

When wearing your hair straight, how do you keep it from flipping up when it hits your shoulders?

Reply
Ashley says · 06.07.22

Is it thinned at the ends? I have this cut but struggle with it looking sort of blunt and I am not sure how to communicate that to my stylist that I want it thinner and more airy at the bottoms??

Reply
Kate says · 06.07.22

No, it’s not thinned. It sounds like you can describe it to him/her just like you did to me!

I think her hair is fairly thin. Or at least it looks that way. My hair is super thick esp at the bottom. So if yours is the same, your stylist may indeed have to thin it out!

Love this on you! Perfect length and color.

Love this! I used to use my flat iron all the time to do bends. My hair is a few cm longer than yours currently and I can’t get it to not be so poofy at the bottom using the flat iron now. Teach us your ways!

How do you prevent the ends from flipping out at this length? I’m so frustrated that mine does it.

Perfection! Could you share some color details as well?

Kate says · 06.08.22

Thank you! Color is a combo of highlights and balayage!

With this cut and length about how many months can you go between before needing it cut again? I’m looking for something low maintenance and this cut is super cute!

Reply
Kate says · 06.08.22

Everyone is different so I can’t really say. I typically like a trim every 6/8 weeks.

Thank you for sharing! I used your photos as inspiration when I had 5 inches cut off last night. It feels so much lighter and fresher.

Love your new haircut and length but I’m a little confused. In your hair video tutorial your hair looks a little longer than in these pictures. Did you have more length taken off?

Reply
Kate says · 06.08.22

Yes it had been cut since that video!

I have been following you for about 10 years, now! Your hair and body remind me of myself at your age. I’m still checking out your latest hair styles, I’ve always worn similar colors in clothing and makeup! I’m a pastors wife, mother, grandmother and yes….great grandmother!! Thank you for sharing your styles and tips with me! God bless you!

My hair is super thin, but love this cut….the problem I have is that my front “layers” do not grow and they always end up so much shorter in the front. Is it the way it’s being cut?! Or is it just that my hair doesn’t grow?

Reply
Bonnie says · 07.26.22

This is the way I’ve always thought your hair looked best!

I have a lot of fine hair. I have your cut but it tends to be more poofy or thick looking. Any suggestions to get your same look?
