The Modern Twist Updo Tutorial

next
2 Eye Looks with One Palette

If you are looking for a way to pull your hair up in a slightly fancy way without being overly conservative, I would highly recommend this modern take on a french twist. I love the ends sticking out as a way to soften and relax the style. . . it feels a bit more casual to me which was exactly what I was going for.

A few key products to help assist the style are great bobby pins, a strong clear elastic, and perhaps some texture spray or powder to build a little chalky texture in the hair for hold. I love the Diane bobby pins, the Blaxx clear elastics, and either Amika Un.Done Volume and Matte Texture Spray, or IGK Texture Powder.

Same, please! It would be so fun to have a series of styles you’ve done on different hair lengths (you know, for you to do in your ample free time😂)
