Conditioning Products for Dry, Distressed Hair
How was your week? We spent last weekend in South Carolina with my parents and it was lovely. The weather was a little rainy but for the most part we got to be outside and do our favorite things down there. We came home to a rainy week and David ended up getting sick on Wednesday night. He’s doing much better and I think the rest of us managed to avoid getting what he had!
Gap was having a sale recently, although I feel like they are constantly running a 40% off promotion, and I threw this tee in my cart. I’m a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl and this is the perfect simple outfit in my mind. It’s a basic tee but is a little dressed up with the blouse material on the back. I can throw it on with slip on shoes or dress it up with wedges and fun jewelry. The dusty blue spoke to me but the grey/black would be a pretty option as well!
My sister told me about these leggings from amazon that are supposed to be very similar to the lululemon align leggings so I ordered a pair to try them! You CANNOT beat the price!
I talk about the Splendid open cardigan wraps all the time and this material looks a bit different. The original versions are a waffle knit material but this looks more ribbed from the photo? Naturally I’m tempted to try it to compare.
I wear my aviator sunglasses all the time and found a very similar version on Amazon for about $65!
I love the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments and just saw some fun kits available at Sephora. This one is only $25 and has the shade I’ve loved the longest in it!
So we have the Ring doorbell and I love it so much. I love the convenience and security it offers. Ring now has a security system and I’m super intrigued. We’ve had such a good experience with the doorbell that I imagine the security system would be great as well. Have you tried it?
Justin and I are brainstorming through a potential master bathroom update so I saved this blog post about the best white paint colors for your home!
I shared a post all about my powder/dip manicure experience earlier this week and WHOA the comments blew up! Click here to read it!
I love Chicken Tortilla soup and this recipe looks delicious.
I’m looking forward to catching up on cleaning, laundry, and all the things that fall to the wayside when tending to a sick child this weekend. And I’m SO hopeful that we see a bit of sunshine at some point.

Would love to hear what jeans you like. I’m in desperate need of new jeans and hate jean shopping!
Oooh, hope David gets better soon! You guys are lucky you’ve all avoided the sickness, though! 🙂

haven’t tried the Amz leggings but I am all about high waisted ones right now, so comfortable and supportive
Have you moved your links and lives posts to Saturday’s instead of Friday’s? I feel like I missed an update.
Checking out those Amazon leggings now! They are a staple in my around-the-house wardrobe.

I’m usually a baggy jeans+oversized t-shirt person but have been trying to branch out to “athleisure” at least at home. Lululemon is so popular but they only go up to size 14 on the leggings you linked. Do you have any recommendations for plus sized leggings? Love to know your thoughts and experiences.
(I ALWAYS have the same issue as you in the pic you posted on this post with jeans in that area… Like, yep, there it is! Sizing is so demoralizing and if I’m honest I’ll be really happy once the leggings and skinny jeans trends goes. away.)
I’m saving that white paint list!!

I have the Ring security system and love it. I have never had a problem with it (other than my husband forgetting to turn it off). It integrates seamlessly with their other products. I have the doorbell, security system and 3 additional cameras.
Someone with a Ring doorbell caught footage of a mountain lion on their porch in a suburban neighborhood here in the Sacramento area!!!
