Firm, young looking skin in 28 days with OLAY
The Blow Dryer Comparison ($400, $200 & $30 blow dryers!)
Well I’ve completed the challenge! As someone who loves to test out products and usually has a fairly skeptical view, I was very pleasantly surprised at my results from using OLAY Total Effects 7-in-1 Moisturizer and OLAY’s Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel for the past 28 days.
I’m always asked if I can find drugstore options to recommend and I’m happy to share that I’ve really seen great results from these products.
I always look for moisture in my face cream. And not just a light, surface level moisture. I’m looking for deeply hydrating, last all day, avoid flakes of skin around my nose and eyebrow area kind of moisture. If a face cream doesn’t provide that for me, I move on pretty quickly.
I found the OLAY Total Effects 7-in-1 Moisturizer to be hydrating, but also dry fairly quickly on the skin meaning it won’t cause your makeup to slide off. I felt a nice amount of firmness and bounce in my skin that is always a plus at any age, but especially as I’m getting older.
I’ll admit eye cream is one of those products I’m most likely to forget about but during this challenge I had both products sitting right on my bathroom counter, so I won’t forget to apply both. The OLAY Total Effects Deep Hydrating Eye Gel felt great around my eyes, it felt cool right when I applied it due to it’s gel nature and I felt like it sort of woke my eyes up because of the cooler temperature. I also found it very hydrating around my eye area. Again, it’s the kind of skincare product that you want to sink right in and it did just that.
Beyond the skin benefits I experienced with both products, I also love that it’s so easy to grab these products at the drugstore. OLAY has been around for as long as I can remember, and out of pure curiosity I googled when the company was founded. It started in 1952! So, for about 66 years they’ve been developing skincare products–and it was clear to me by the end of this 28-day challenge that they know what they are doing!

Thank you for the recommendation! I’ll have a look at the eye cream in person when I get the time. ❤️

Yay! I’m glad to see the results of these products. Would you compare the moisturizer to Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve? I’ve been using that but would love a less expensive option.
How often did you apply the eye cream? Just once a day (like in the morning), or is it something that should be used morning and night?
This is something i remembered the smell of my Nan (grandmother for none UK southern lasses) had this and Nivea on her dresser. She used the Olay during the day, And Nivea at night. Im sure my Gramps brought it back for her during his escapades as a Navy Man. That and one i have never known the name of as he servered from 1938 in the navy. He did bring her coconut oil. Her skin was amazing. I put her picture on instagram. She always looked like this . Thankyou Kate going to give this a try. Have you tried the new Olay eye serum. Think it has retinol in. But the UK version is for some reason better than the US Look at Monika in You Tube. Sges tried both versions. Love ya girl. A new baby and it helped your eyes. Great xxx
I just got myself a bottle of Okay total effect 7 in 1 moisturizer but I need to clear my face of some terrible sunburn /cream burn/ dark patches before I start using it. What do you think
I’m 64 years old and have used Oil of Olay skin cream since I was a teenager. I’ve had lots of nice comments on my skin and people usually think I’m younger than I am. I apply it right before I put on my makeup…it feels great on my skin and dries quickly enough to apply makeup right away and, in fact, helps the makeup blend better. I also use the Oil of Olay face cleanser every morning and night. So, I definitely recommend their products!
