I found it on Amazon

Do you remember when Amazon started? Back in 1994?

I remember sitting at my family’s Dell computer that took 30 minutes to turn on and another 45 to actually connect to the world wide web via dialup and checking out this online bookstore called Amazon. I thought to myself, “What a dumb name. That will not catch on.” Turns out I was pretty wrong because I rely on Amazon, especially Amazon Prime, for so many things.

I use Amazon for restocking our paper products, like toilet paper, and replacing other household items from cat litter to garbage bags. I also buy clothes, shoes, and pretty much anything else on Amazon as well.

I also find lots of other items that fall into a “random things” category that I want to share with you, so I’m starting this series called “I found it on Amazon”. It’s just a place for me to share the random things I’ve found or have my eye on from Amazon.

First up, we hung lights around the ceiling of our porch a year or so ago, and we could only find them with a green cord. Well that trend has caught on and now there are lights on much longer strings with a white cord, so we swapped out the old lights for the new ones. I love how charming it makes the porch look in the evening.

I bought a battery operated fan for Emily’s stroller that we use almost every time we are outside. Not only does it keep bugs away from her, but I think she enjoys the breeze!

I even found “00” flour for homemade pizza dough that has made my crust even closer to the real thing in NYC!

As you can tell, there’s a wide variety of things I’ve found on Amazon, as I’m sure you can relate to, but I thought I’d share a few of my favorite finds with you today!

p.s. check out these cute mules!

I love that you can get anything you want on Amazon! It’s so convenient, even for us who don’t live in the US (such is the beauty of the internet!) 😉

I shop Amazon for pretty much all the things. When I was pregnant one of my students asked me where babies came from, and because I won’t go there, I said Amazon…I’m sure babies are Prime eligible! Having two little ones, it’s so much easier to stock up on everything and have it shipped to my house two days later!

Speaking of Amazon finds, I decided tot are inspiration from you and try a texture spray (not the one you talk about, because I didn’t want to spend so much on it). LOVED the result, a total game changer! However, I found that when I took a shower the next day, it felt really weird as soon as it got wet. Is that typical?

I really shouldn’t be reading this post because I love shopping on Amazon! I recently found a bluetooth speaker there that you can use in the shower and am totally in love with it.

I think I need to order that fan for when I’m waiting for my morning train – shopping time!

I love how Amazon always has such random things! It’s like a treasure trove, lots of stuff you don’t want and then some real jewels, like my most recent purchase of Kate Spade aviators for a steal!

What a super fun post!

Each time you post about your pizza-making adventures, I want to hop on a plane to New York and go to Juliana’s in Brooklyn. If you ever need a taste tester, I’m right down the road….

Freaking love amazon! Proud Prime member. Now I haven’t tried household items but Christmas is never as hard as it used to be.

I first bought 00 Antimo Caputo flour on Amazon as well. But then I noticed the local wood-fired pizza place uses 50 lb bags, and I asked if I could buy one from them. They sold it to me at wholesale! I bought some food storage buckets and lids, and a bag lasts us almost a year. We eat pizza every week, so it’s a really great savings. You might check to see if a local joint would sell a big bag to you. 🍕

I wish I’d known about white string lights! How did you hang your lights? I have a solid covered porch (no slats to run lights over and through) any recommendations?
Love this new series 🙂

Just with little hooks screwed into the wood 🙂

Hey Kate! You linked the coral/pink dress with the dots you got from Amazon in your stories the other day, but now it’s disappeared and I don’t see the link elsewhere. Would you mind linking again? It was so cute! Thanks,

Brooke
