I went shopping with some girlfriends last weekend and they both got the CUTEST top in history at J.Crew. Neither the hanger nor the model on the website does it justice! As soon as they both put it on, it fit so perfectly and between the front tie and button detail in the back, I was beside myself. I wasn’t shopping for clothes, but it was fun to live vicariously through them!

In the most obvious way possible, that only pregnant Kate could do, I pretty much walked out of the shopping trip with a bag of candy and makeup. But let’s be honest, pregnant or not, I would happily leave the mall with only those things and be satisfied!

We were drawn to this cute new store called Lolli & Pops. The packaging and displays were so sweet and charming, I’d highly recommend checking it out if you are looking for a gift or reason to splurge!

Now that LIKEtoKNOW.it won’t be sending emails with links to the products I’ve mentioned on Instagram, I wanted you all to still be able to get a similar email that’s quick and easy to use! If you’re interested in receiving Instagram links in your inbox, subscribe to this list!

If you follow along on Instagram Stories you may have seen that we are switching up the boys’ rooms a bit. We moved David’s toddler bed into Luke’s room, we’re selling Luke’s brown crib and mattress, got David a twin size mattress, and are trying to figure out the right system for bed barriers for David since his bed frame is so high.

We got a Casper mattress, for ease and curiosity. David likes it, but I was genuinely surprised by how soft it is! We got a wood slat bed frame, which was recommended, and it happens to stand pretty high. We tried the typical bed rails you may have seen around, but I hated how they made the bed look. Then we tried pool noodles, but those just rolled down the side of the mattress which led to David falling out one night. He’s totally fine and fell onto a pillow that was strategically placed for that very reason, but I think the Casper mattress is just so dang soft anything would just roll around under the fitted sheet.

SO we got a new system to try! These came highly recommended by many of you so we’ll be giving these a go this week!

Have any weekend plans?!

It’s been so long since I’ve shopped that J.Crew, now that you mention the shop! So glad it’s the weekend, maybe I’ll find time to go shopping haha! 🙂

I love cute packaging. I fall for it every time, haha. That shirt is really cute! J.Crew factory has a tie front oxford that is really cute too – I picked it up and it’s really flattering and nice quality. Happy Friday, xAllie

I thought this was the J Crew shirt you were talking about on stories and in the post. Is that one linked some where else?

I linked to the Jcrew shirt directly in the paragraph where I mentioned it 🙂 The bolded words are links. https://rstyle.me/n/c3wbxnm8f6

We never got a toddler bed for our daughter, because we knew she wouldn’t be in if long enough to justify the money, and because no matter how high or low the bed was, it wasn’t going to stop our skydiver from getting out of it! That being said, we use the typical rails…yes’m it does make the bed look like a hospital bed, but she rolls around so much when she’s sleeping (and gets some serious air when she does) that we knew the noodle or the system that looks like bowling alley bumpers was going tonight be too low and she’s roll right over them.

You could do what my uncle did when his kids were old enough for beds…go straight to queen so it’s too big for them to roll out😂

I used these bed rails for my son when we moved him to a big boy bed and they were great, also treat to take to a hotel/traveling. He slept in a king size bed at Disney with this without a problem.

Why don’t you put David’s bed against the wall, so there is only one exposed edge? That’s how we have my 4-year-old son’s room arranged (the only way possible in his small room, lol). Then we have a long body pillow along the edge, which kind of makes his sleeping space a little narrow, but hey, he’s small and it’s extra cozy that way! Cuz I agree with you, those high bed rails aren’t the nicest looking, plus it makes changing sheets more difficult.

I could do that, but he likes having a lamp and books to read at night and there isn’t a good spot to provide that for him if his bed is against the wall!
