I’ve said this a million times but I’m the kind of person who knows what she wants in interior decorating but I can’t imagine it. I can’t create it very well in my head. I’m great at trying to mimic inspirational photos I find on Pinterest, and that is why Modsy has helped me so much this year as I redecorated my office and am currently decorating the new family room.
Right now I’m stuck on art, so I thought I’d ask for your thoughts to help push me one way or the other as far as what kind of art I should go for in the new space.
I put my very ametuer skills at photoshop to work and picked 3 fine art prints at Minted that caught my eye. I know which one is my favorite, but I’m curious which one you like the best?
I just snapped this photo of the actual space yesterday. We are getting a Kallax IKEA shelving unit in a few weeks and I’ll fill the spaces with 13×13 boxes from Target. In the meantime, I just threw in that white bookshelf so you can get an idea of what will be there.
The room still feels empty, and it certainly needs a bit more styling, but part of that is intentional. I want there to be space to breathe in that room, and I love the open, airy feel of it.
So here are the three choices.
Option One:
As you can see, this has a bit of color in it. I like that it isn’t overly colorful, but it certainly would operate at the focal point of this view of the room.
Option Two:
I love the serene feel of this piece of art. I think it would need a different frame, perhaps black? There is a little bit too much wood happening above the sideboard.
Option Three:
I like that this is still neutral, so I feel like it flows in the space well, but it’s a little bit more interesting to look at than option two.
So which is your favorite of the bunch? I’m really trying to find something that will be timeless and fit into the space well. As much as I love a gallery wall, I fear it will make the space too busy so I’m trying to find one large focal point of art that speaks to me!

Option 3!! Looks beautiful but calm.
Number 2 is my favorite!
Option 3! Has some color, but it’s not bright, jarring flashes of color in an otherwise calm space.
Three is my favorite 🙂 it creates a focal point without being too busy.
I prefer option 2! The colours go well with the space and I like the calm, light feeling of the image.
The other ones seem more harsh & bold to me.
Orrr you could do a really fun and large statement clock!
Option three is my favourite followed by option two 🙂
Option 3
#3. But I can’t say why I picked it….
Option 3!!
#2 looks great. 😊
The third one blends with the overall feel of the room already. I think it would be a perfect addition!
I like #2. There’s something about #3 and the pattern on the hutch below (which I love)) that doesn’t “go” for me. Good luck! I always say that my walls will be blank unless something absolutely inspires me. When I force art on the wall it never turns out quite right. Yet I want immediate gratification. It’s a hard balance. Lol
#3 but #2 is a close second.
Number 2 seems to flow best with the room and create that serene mood you’re going for. I think you’re right about the frame though.
I really hate the cliche ‘think outside the box’, but sometimes find it appropriate. I have on a few occasions, just unable to find the right picture. I have acquired some beautiful pieces of fabrics including some vintage silk which I had framed and put on the bedroom wall. It just gives the room a different edge.
I say option 2. I think it goes more with the feel of the room. And I personally like the wood frame with it!
Rather than a piece of art that has no emotional attachment, I recommend creating a large canvas with a personal photo from Canvas On Demand or Walgreens. Photos of the kids are great, but quickly are out of date so I recommend a pic that you took that reminds you of where you were or of a special time so that every time to look at it you are reminded of that special time. We have 2 large canvasses like that, but also a wall of 12×12 pictures from each country we have visited. Some are of nature, some are of buildings, but they each remind us of our travels.
What a great idea!!
#2 ties in the console and rug nicely. Much better than the other 2!

Option 3 is my favorite!
Option 2. It is a very calm piece and goes with your theme of wanting there to be space to breathe and have an open airy feel to it. Option 3 is great too, it would be my second choice!
Option 3!
Number 2 is beautiful and serene.
I like option 2 the best !
Good Morning Kate
I think I like option three the best in this space. The room is looking awesome though. Have a great day and weekend.
Sherry
Love #3
The third choice! I think it’s a happy medium between the first two!
3rd one!
Option 2!!!
#3! Option 2 would be my next choice.
I think option 2 or 3 work best in the space!
I am voting for #3, because I like the way it fills the visual space better.
I prefer the colors in #1 though. It would give you some fun colors to use as accents in pillows and accessories.
#3
I like option 3 best!
Option 2! And I personally like the wood frame. Maybe a white-washed wood frame if you want some contrast compared with the sideboard.
Definitely option #3! It’s a great mix of color and neutrals and blends really well with the overall feel for the room! All of them are great options whatever you decide though!
#3!
Option 2
Option 3, definitely! Much more minimal and neutral! 🙂

Three!
My vote is number 3!
I think if you want timeless, what about a mirror? Then you can add decor around it for holidays/seasons; something like a garland or soft lights? Of the options, I pick #2, but with a non wood-tone frame.
If I had to pick from those three I would pick the third. None are really great though.
It’s a pretty big wall for one single print. How about a gallery wall?
I like 2 the best. It’s calming and I tend to go for that. 🙂
Number 3 for sure!
Three, followed by two- but with a white frame to keep with the airy-ness.
BUT! What I would personally do is a large, I’m talking 16×20 or bigger professional yet candid picture of your boys or your whole family. If its a family room, make a picture of your family the priority.
mpix is a great online source with awesome quality and great prices. Good luck can’t wait to see the finished results.
Option 2 seems to fit the vibe of the room the best. It’s also very calming. But the frame is too much, as you said.
Option #2!!
Option 3!!
Option 3 is absolutely stunning in that space!
Option 3 looks nice and seems to be the most “you” in style, although I personally really like option 2!
#2 is *my* favorite, but I think #3 is best for the space.

Option 2 but I agree a different frame to create a bit more contrast between finishes. Good luck! 🙂
My pick is #2! The blues in the piece of art feel calming, and I think this one ties in best with not just this room but the rest of your home too. But I definitely agree, the wood frame is too much. I think a black frame would tie in with the hardware on the sideboard too. I’m going to have to look this piece up! It would be perfect in our dining room!
the third one!! definitely 🙂
I like option 2 with a different frame. It’s very peaceful and calming and will go with any decor you might have in the future. 🙂
Happy Friday (and Sephora sale weekend, haha) xxAllie http://www.theallthatglittersblog.com
Definitely #2!!
I really like option 3.
Option 3!!
I prefer option 3!
Hi Kate! Your room is looking beautiful! I used to be an Interior Designer and picking art was one of my favorite things to finish off a space! It’s like adding that great scarf or necklace to complete the look. If I may indulge you – I want to give you a couple of things to think about.
1. 2nd option with a different frame – possibly a matte black (if you want it to pop out) or a charcoal gray (to blend) would fit well. This just pulls the eye through the room better and draws in the green from the tree, the gray from the rug, the warmth from the sideboard, and is a nice contrast of color to the floor. It adds a bit of color but doesn’t overwhelm and gives off the feeling of being effortless.
2. I’m wondering if the size of the print is as you depicted in the picture or if you scaled it down to fit into the space between the bookshelf and plant on top of the sideboard? I ask because generally speaking finding a framed print that will fit within the length of the piece below it is a nice rule of thumb to follow. If you end up putting anything on the sideboard like plants, pictures, etc. it just gives you a “layered” look – or that you’re building upon the base which includes the print. While what you have now looks absolutely beautiful, sometimes the pieced together look can start to look too busy as it is all separate pieces and begins to overwhelm the wall and or space. Since you were so good at photoshopping this together, try finding a print or re-sizing what you have to see if you like it larger and centered over the sideboard. Then you can have fun finding contrasting accessories to go on top of the sideboard that can go in front of the print. If you don’t like it, no sweat, stick with what speaks to you! If you do, it could open up a whole new way of adding decor to a room!
When I look at 2 I see calm and love. When I look at 3 I see movement and style. I’m not a fan of 1. I guess it depends on how you want to feel in your new room. My personal preference would be 2.
I like #2. I think it’s soft and lovely and thought provoking.
Option 2 definitely, but with a black frame. Voila, perfection!
Hmmm…I’m having a hard time committing to any of these! What do you think about two large engineer prints of the boys? Similar to these by Chris Loves Julia?
https://www.chrislovesjulia.com/?s=engineer+prints
Option 2 definitely, but with a black frame. Voila, perfection!
#3
Number 3 is beautiful!
Definitely the second option!
I love option 2!
I love three!
Option two with a thin grey frame would be great and is timeless….
#3!
Number 2 for sure!
Option 2 is my fav! Maybe for the frame, the same color as that chair to the right would be pretty??
Option 2 with a very dark stained wood, almost black but not quite! I just love the serene art combined with your calming plants…it’s just so lovely. Option 2 isn’t as “interesting” as the other two options, but it’s the kind of art that I would look at a lot and try to figure out what’s happening in the scene, but the other two options I’d just think, “oh it’s a pattern” and not really look at it.
The last one, for sure!
Option three. You need the circles to break up all the angles in the room (especially if the Kallax will be there). The colours are prettiest too.
2!
Tough call but ultimately I think option 2 is the most timeless. Option 3 seems too trendy and I think you’ll get bored with it. Also, blues seem like a better option since you have boys.
Option 3 looks more like you! It’s calming and interesting without being too in your face.
They’re all gorgeous, but I’m obsessed with option 2! I love a super neutral look.
Kim
http://trendkeeper.me .. Instagram Round-Up & GIVEAWAY!
I’m going with option 3. It’s neutral enough that it pleases the eye, yet chaotic enough to draw interest.
My favorite is Option 3. It’s interesting to look at, and I like just a little bit of color that it has.
If you’re leaning towards option 2, Emily Jeffords is a Greenville, SC artist whose work is really similar – soft and beautiful and serene! We have one of her pieces in our home and love it! Agree that it would need a different frame though 😉
I was also thinking, wait and buy original art from a local artist to begin or add to a life-long collection.
#2
2 is my favorite, but 1 if you want more color/more dramatic!
I agree with another person that said large engineer prints of the boys (I would do black & white) would really be make that area amazing focal point. but if your set on art I would do #2 or #3…..GO WITH THE LARGE BLACK & WHITE ENGINEER PRINTS THOUGH…
Option 3! I didn’t even hesitate! That’s the perfect piece! 😊
Personally I would pick #2 but all good options
Option #3!
Option 3! Nicely ties the room together!
2 is my fav, but go with 3. It’s awesome as well. When I redecorated, I went with my equivalent of 3… I liked it, but it made me uncomfortable. It’s now my fav pic in my space!
Option 2
Wow! I love neutral colors as well, because you can do so much with them and you can switch up your designs easier; rather than bolder colors.
The first option has a pop of color that I do like, however, that is my least favorite option.
I love two and three, both look beautiful…gives you a pop of color without going overboard.
BUT I LOVE LOVE LOVE OPTION 3 THE BEST! It’s so unique, fresh and so playful. It’s brilliant!
Good Luck choosing!
I like option three. There are a lot of linear and angular patterns against the wall–the pattern of the wood in the credenza, the lines of the shelving unit, etc. So to have something round and circular feels like a nice counterbalance. And you decided to go with a round table, right? So you will have at least one other item that is round in the space for it to relate to.
Option 3 is my favorite followed by option 2
First choice: Option 3
Second choice: Option 2
I love love love the second option, and I’d say that the third one would also be a good choice. Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out!
Option 1, it speaks to the purpose of the room being for your family so the color brings some life to the space!
#2
I love option 3!
I love # 2!!
Option 2!
Number 2 is my favorite. I love the wood frame, but I also like the idea of a black frame. Can’t wait to see what you choose!!!
I prefer the frame of 2 with the print of 3.
i like the idea Jordan gave of an oversized clock!
I love option #2, but you are right about it needing a black frame!
3
I vote for option 2 with a different frame, maybe white? I love the calm feel and soothing colors of this painting.
Definitely #3!
Option 1!
3!
Number three for sure!
Option #3
Option 3!
Option 3
I love option 3! I think it flows well with your room, gives some color but not to much. And it catches the eye
#2 by far is my favorite., seems to bring everything together.
3!
Option 2!
Option 3. Seems to flow better with your overall style and it isn’t too attention seeking but still draws the eye 😊👍
Option 2 I think, with a dark frame.
For your space,…. I like option 3!
Option 3 is my fave!
Love them all but #3 really made my heart sing!
My favorite is Option 3!
Option 3! It’s neutral and fun to look at!
2!
Definitely #3
#2 with a thick muted silver frame or black frame for a pop of color.
#3!
Option 2
I appear to be in the minority here, but #1 was my definite favorite! I like that it adds some bright color to the room without being overwhelming.
Option #2 🙂
Like 2. You can add aqua/sea foam greens into the space. 3 too much beige. Needs pops of color. I am sure what ever you choose will look beautiful.
Like 2. You can add aquas/green into the space. 3 is too beige. But I am sure what ever you decide will look beautiful
I like 2 and 3. I don’t care for 1 much at all (for my taste).
Happy shopping!
I’m going to go with those who said none of the above. Not that any of the three choices were bad, just that my vision sees a black and white photo of your family/kids/special landscape OR a round mirror to bring some softness into the space and you just can’t go wrong with a mirror. Whatever you pick will look great! It’s your space!
Love the idea of a mirror!
Three or 2. I love 1 but I don’t feel like it fits well with your style and colors of your home.
Option 3 is my fav
3!
#3 is my fav.
#1 seems too bold for me and #2 isn’t bold enough.
I love 3!
Caroline Boykin is a Raleigh artist with some absolutely GORGOEOUS neutral pieces that would look fantastic in your room. Like others, I recommend investing in a piece of art that you truly love and have an attachment to. It will be something you love that will also stand the test of time.
Option 3 is my favorite. Although, I think Option 2 would work great in this space as well. Option 1 seems a little too stark white with too bright of colors (perhaps it looks different in person). I have enjoyed living vicariously through you with your remodel process!
Definitely 2!
Definitely #2!
WHat about the samsung framed tv. It looks like a framed piece of art. https://www.google.com/search?q=samsung+frame+tv&client=safari&sa=X&hl=en-us&biw=414&bih=628&tbs=vw:l,ss:44&tbm=shop&prmd=svni&srpd=6356678026157439929&prds=epd:4561611073130803687,paur:ClkAsKraXyrF4gl2aD9yNTfNOrnWnjVh7LWU7il-RA88jSwHlgxMfCzA1em-C3y2y5wk4FgOBDhlbIKxRDJAU0gCQPBWQxQLTObeVdF52sy8qLsy3_HbXs8I9hIZAFPVH718SS-RTCjTnzLbsJZPIJokVjSMHQ,cdl:1,cid:10485080253207547591&ved=0ahUKEwjWucWUiqPXAhUDD8AKHV4PDSMQgTYI8gU
Hi, why not make a collage of all your left or right hands in your favorite colors? I’m thinking white or eggshell background + your hands in a row in bright paint colors?
I like option 3 the best!
#2, the peaceful one
Option 3. Option 3 picks up your favorite tones of neutrals and the circular emphasis provides a nice balance to the linear objects (rug, bookcase, future baskets, sideboard). That said, I would wait until you fall in love. Art is meant to be personal rather than a styling choice. Whatever you love will make you smile when you come into the room. Whether a painting, a textile, typography, photography – wait until you fall in love. It will hit you and you will know (then you can make the styling choices of framing, matting, hanging height). Take your time!
Two, hands down!!!

The third one! Love it
I love # 2 or # 3! No. 2 is calm and goes well with the colors in the room. No. 3 has more of a fun modern edge. I hope that helps!
2, definitely! Or do you have any of your own pictures that you could print to poster size? Something from your travels, not family.
I vote for option 3 too! It has the neutral feel of #2 but with a bit more color like #1
Option 3! 🙂
I love option two and then option three
I vote for #3!
option 2
Number 2 is so calm and peaceful and makes the space feel welcoming. Giving the eye a place to rest is important in a space that already has a lot going on or is heavily trafficked/often used. I feel like number 2 beautifully fills the space but allows for the eye to rest. And I like the wooden frame too!
Option two!
Definitely the third piece!!! It’s the perfect pop of color but still neutral, but still interesting.
Option 2 is definitely my favorite!
Option #2
2 is my favorite
I like 3 best. What a beautiful space.
Number 3
I like 3 but it does feel too busy with the sideboard. 2 is the next obvious choice but it doesn’t really add anything to the space. Have you considered a black/white print (art, photo, graphic). Visually could give more pop w/o messing up the calm mood.
The third one looks very much your style of color. Pink and gray go well together and are a calming combination.
Option 3! Also, your World Markwt furniture is 40% off. I know you recently purchased it, so perhaps they would do a price adjustment.
I like the third option best.
Quick question on that rug….I’m looking for something to go in my dining area under the table. Is it plastic like? Would it work well in a dining area? I like that it is so neutral. Rugs are so hard. I have little kids and the one we have now is just gross at this point.
Option 2 is my favorite
I think option 3 goes best with the space.
Option #2
Option 3!💗
I like to display our family photos so the art you chose doesnt speak to me 🙂 espetially since it’s a family room, a nice black and white photo of the boys would be great 🙂
Option 3
It is so fun to see you pull this room together! I absolutely love styles of the sideboard and table and how they blend warm, cozy and minimal. And I love the off-centered painting. But, I’m kind of thinking options 1 and 3 are a bit feminine, especially for a space they boys will be playing and doing homework in.
I love finding art that reminds me of a special trip or family experience. I love getting small 5×7 painting (or even cards I can frame) from art galleries when I travel. Your second option is a nice reminder of the midwest snows and I like how calming it is (maybe with a thin black or gold frame). But, I could also really see an abstract ocean/water painting here to put a smile on your face when you remember your family trips to palmetto bluff and the lake house.
Option 3! I think it is the most dynamic and you won’t tire of it quickly. 🙂 It could also be used in multiple rooms!
I’m not a fan of any of the art. I agree with others, a huge decorative clock (Magnolia!) or black and white photos of the boys!
Option 3 is my favorite.
I personally like number 1 on the minted website. However I don’t like it in your room. It doesn’t appear to go with the tone of the house. Although the design works better than the circles. I like number 2 also, but it’s kind of boring. I would go with the mirror idea or a large canvas of the boys in black and white. I also like the idea of using your own photography of a place you love. It can be very abstract and still meaningful to you.
Well for me, I’m in love with 2 but I see you more with the third one. It’s just more you I think. Good luck with your choice.
Option 3
If you’re looking for one statement piece, I feel like #2 blends in too much. It’s oretty and soothing but it disappears. It seems like it would need to either be part of a gallery wall or on a smaller wall to stand out. I actually like #1 the best, guess I’m the odd one! It just says “Kate” to me…minimal with pops of color to keep it cheerful. Kind of reminds me of statement lipstick with a classic outfit or something! Number 3 is my second choice, because it seems to unify all the color in the room without blending in.
Three!
Option 2, as 1 & 3 are to busy with the chevron pattern. I like the option of a large wall clock as well. 🙂
Third, hands down.
Your room is lovely! The soft neutrals have a gentle feeling with the textures adding interest. The second one works really well with the console below it–but is it available in a bigger size? The soft, misty image or something similar would be fantastic if it were really big–big enough that the width of the frame were as wide as the sideboard (doesn’t need to be exact). It would fill that big wall in a way that has a lot of impact without the busyness of a gallery wall, add dimension and interest, and I think add an even greater sense of serenity (because the room would feel more finished).
By the way, the colours of #3 are great but maybe the ovals fight with the straight lines of chevrons below?
If you go with a black frame, be sure to add a little bit of black in other parts of the room too.
Looking forward to seeing the room develop!
I love the third print for your space and I think it’s in keeping with the rest of your decor that’s in the adjoining living space.
I’m no longer working professionally as an interior designer, but if you were a client, that would be my advice. Hope it helps!
#3!
# 3
Option 2
I definitely like option #3, however I prefer the frame in option #2. The room’s gonna look fabulous when finished!! 👍🏼
2!!!!
#3 for sure!
I felt like Lord Farquads posse when he was choosing Princess Fiona on Shrek! PICK 3!! Number 3!
{yes, I have 3 kids and watch nothing else but cartoons 😂}
I like 3 best. Something that would also look good in this space and I did in my home and love! Is using the picture ledges from Ikea. I used 3, and staggered on my wall and then used grey and white frames with family photos, but you can also mix in some work/beauty images, other art. Everyone comments on how nice it looks Just another idea.
Two!!!
Second is my favorite. Like the neutral tone of it.
Options one and two look like they are trying to avoid looking like anything (a bit vague), and option three looks like boobs (sorry!). If you honestly love these, that is fine! You should always choose what you love. I always recommend picking a piece of art because it speaks to your heart or says something about what you like or who you are. Most of the art on my walls is unique or custom-made, and every piece has its own story. Art is a chance to put your personality on your walls, to tell a story without using words, and I love seeing spaces that feel purposeful and special. I actually think a big custom bulletin board could be great in this space, because you can pin up pictures and mementos to it, and make it your own. Not trying to discourage you from any of these choices, as I said, choose what you love!
Option 3!! I love how the color play with the rest of the rooms decor!!
Option 3 hands down!
I love option 3…great color palette that goes with theme of the room, but branches out more than option 2, but not as much as option 1
2! But I’m a neutral and pops of blue kind of girl.
Option 2!
Number 2!
The third picture
Art should be a personal preference. Which one do you like to looking at the best. If it’s none of the above or if you’re indifferent you should wait. Buy something special to you or your family. Not just something to fill the space.
Option 3!!
I love #3!
I like option 2. It compliments the space but doesn’t dominate it like the other two. I kind of like the wood frame though.
I think number 2 with a darker frame. I’m a play it safe kinda gal though so maybe number 3 is the braver option?
I love option 3. I think you can fill up some wall space with colorful artwork from your boys 🙂
In my classroom I like to use a string and small clothes pins to make a banner. That is how I display the students artwork.
Option #2! It would look nice with a lighter color wood frame, maybe to match color of legs on the little chairs? Or a silver frame, or white. I don’t think I would choose a black frame.
#3 – adds some color but not too much.
#2! I feel #1 has too much bold color compared to the rest of the room and #3 makes the room look drab. #2 looks like it has some very calm blue colors so you could bring that in somewhere else in the future if you want.
Option 3 for sure! It screams Kate to me.
Option 2 definitely feels the most cohesive with everything else that’s going on. Doesn’t ‘fight’ with anything else, has the open airy feeling that you are enjoying, and allows you to switch up your pops of color in other places seasonally! You can add fun colors with vases, decor on the sideboard, decor on your shelves, etc. Love the new space!! 😊
I like #2 and #3! I like the neutral colors and low-key style of them!
I like option 2. Do you know the wall paint color ? Im looking for a neutral off white and like yours!
Option 3
Option 2 or 3. Both beautiful choices.
I loved the West Elm piece that was in the Modsy plan…
If the choices here, I’d go with #3.
Love option 3! Seems to enhance the room and has just the right amount of color.
You won’t get tired of #2. It’s more timeless.
#3 fits your style and the room, neutrals with an accent. You really need a larger size print though. It should take up 3/4 of the piece of furniture below it. Alternatively, you could do two side by side, or a gallery wall. Since it’s the family room, it’s a great place to display family pictures. You can even intersperse some smaller art with pictures to break up the display.
Option 3!
I like the second one the best. Something about soft hues draw me in.
I like option two or three the best. The colors in option one just feel off to me.
Option 3 is speaking to me! Love the little bit of color but that the piece is still neutral. Looks good in the space 🙂
Love option 2, it’s not to busy and makes the space calm and welcoming. The colors are perfect! I would go with a different frame, maybe a skinny gold frame?
#2! Maybe try and white frame to reintroduce the other white furniture or a really thin gold would look great too!
Option 3
I strongly believe YOU will know it when you see it. Art is personal and I believe you should LOVE it. It’s not a place filler but something that makes one feel a certain way. I like all your choices. Perhaps consider going to a gallery with the type of art you like and buying a real, original piece. I have collected original pieces over my life and each one reminds me of a certain time or place. Good luck. The room looks great!
I would choose 3, if I had to choose one, but I have another idea.
Art is so personal, and in my experience, I don’t buy it unless it speaks to me as a stand alone piece. I don’t think much about how it will coordinate with a room, fabrics, or colors. But here’s the funny thing: I have an aesthetic that is pretty consistent. I’m drawn to certain colors and patterns and images, so after 49 years, I trust that anything I truly love will fit into my home. I trust this because it has proved itself true over and over again.
Wait to fill the space until the perfect piece of art calls you to place it there. It may take a little longer. Maybe you could hang something you have there temporarily–a mirror or large basket perhaps. Trust that the right piece will come. Your room will feel more authentic and you’ll love it more if you do.
#3
the style of the first one just doesn’t seem to fit
second one , I see what you mean, but just too boring
number three would be my choice
Number 2 closely followed by Number 3
I love option 2!
Family picture or gallery wall might look better there.
3
Option 2 all the way!
I love option two because I find spaces with similar color very calming. I think all of them are great, however. I’m excited to see where you go with this choice. Modsy, huh? I’ll have to check that out.
Good luck.
Amy
3rd option. The softer forms in the piece work better in your room
2 🙂
#3 for sure!
I love option #3!
I really like someone’s idea of a big statement clock.
I love the whole redo!
#3!
I like the 2nd serene piece personally as just an art piece but with a white or black frame. Even the white beach frame looked nice. I do think in the room though the first colorful piece could work if you have other color accents. It fits with a more playful kids room.
2!
option three!
Option 3!
Option 3 for sure! 🙂
Definitely 2!
definitely the 2nd one! I feel like it flows with the room
3 for sure.
I love option two! It looks so calm and serine, something I cherish with all the chaos of life.
Option two is beautiful!
I love the third option!
Open 2 or 3! But I agree that I would change the frame on option 2 to something darker. I really like option 2.
Option 3, 100%!!
Definitely #3. Two would be my second option, but your right, it’s pretty boring.
Option 2! ..see how it’s almost exactly the same eye height as your beautiful tree? Option one is pretty busy/loud and it competes with the tree. Greenery naturally is a vibrant/lively addition. No need to compete with that. (And no matter that it’s fake. Still lively!) The third is also a bit busy. If you picture, there will be a grid shelf full of bins right next to it; making a geometric, grid feeling- no matter what color bins you use.. to keep it truly a soft space as you mentioned, 2 is the way to go!:)
I love the 3rd option best of all!
two
You just had family portraits taken, I’d hang one of them there! A large family portrait is a forever keepsake.
#2 without a doubt!!
Option 2…I just love the clean, tranquil, simple feel of the room with this piece of art. Love you and your testimony. I had 5 miscarriages, and the only way I made it through that very difficult time was my faith in Jesus Christ. The Lord eventually sent me 2 Miracles of my own. They are now 17 and 20.
Love your blog!
Definitely option number 3!
do you actually own that chevron cabinet or is that photoshopped (hard to tell ha)?
I own it
Definitely option 3!
#2 is my fav!
Option #3!
My vote is for #2
Option #3 for sure! So pretty…
None of them seem like YOU! I think you’ll know which one, you just haven’t seen it yet. 🙂
Option #2 is my favorite! I agree with you though that a bolder frame would stand out. I am no expert though and I trust whatever you choose.
Option 3!
#2 for sure
Option 3 gets my vote! The colors go well and its still interesting and eye catching!
Option 3
I like 2, but LOVE 3! Just enough color in it to really pop the wall.
My favorite is option 3. Loving the swirls and colors in the print and the black frame. It really complements the wood cabinet.
Have you considered a mirror?
The Third one is my favorite goes really well with the space its a focal point but not over the top.
Option #2
