Check out those lemons!
I found the yummiest crate of peaches from Costco the other day that I went back the following day to buy more of only to see they were sold out. I had picked some up from the local farmers market that left much to be desired. Typically I’ve gotten really delicious peaches from the farmers market (p.s. I’m dying for this bag), but this year was a flop for me. I’m experimenting with some different peachy desserts but I’m trying to hurry to get them posted before peach season is over!
I discovered a new podcast! It’s called “How I built it” by NPR. Basically the interviewer interviews a bunch of different entrepreneurs and business owners to ask how/why/etc they build their business or product. It’s incredibly motivating to listen to and I’d highly recommend checking it out!
Do you remember last links + loves or so when I mentioned a felt purse organizer that was recommended from another blogger? Well, I ordered it, tried really hard to like it, but ultimately kept fighting with it in my bag. Now, some of this could be the shape of the bag causing the problem, but I found that the felt was just SO stiff and didn’t soften up at all to allow for the unit to really settle into the bag. I was browsing Mochithings and found another version that looked much more promising. It’s about twice as much in price as the one from amazon, but this one is actually GREAT. And if you think about it, the thought is you will just transfer this felt organizer from bag to bag, so it can be used forever. I’ve been very pleased with it so far!
These grey sneakers look like the perfect addition to an athleisure outfit!
This looks like such a pretty summertime drink!
If you want to usher August in with a new dress, check this one out. Or this cover up if you are sneaking in one more beach trip!
Happy weekend!

The podcast is actually “How I Built This”, and I love it too!
The best peaches I’ve ever had are from Pee Dee Orchards. They are from Anson County and an agent of theirs sells them at the Raleigh farmers’ market. They sell varieties bred for flavor rather than appearance or “travel ability.” You should give them a try.
Long time follower here, and LOVE your blog! I’m sure you get tons and tons of comments from direct sellers, I just wanted to tell you that as a consultant with Thirty-One Gifts , we sell a couple sizes of purse organizers for less ($25 for medium, $35 for large). I won’t spam you with links or anything…just letting you know 🙂
How I built this is my favorite. That and Up and Vanished get me through long workouts!
Thanks for the podcast recommendation! My hubby is obsessed with Mike Rowe’s (from “Dirty Jobs”) podcast – “That’s the Way I Heard It” – and we’re now super hooked on podcasts in general!
Love your picks, especially the grey sneakers!

I have the Toms sneakers in another color. I LOVE them so much. I need another pair of them, I wore the heck out of them last fall/winter/spring. Can’t recommend them enough.
REALLY? ugh, I’m so tempted now!
I have them in vapor blue, which is kind of a blue/gray. I really want the grey fleece/wool looking ones for winter, but I bought mine in early fall when it was still fairly warm.
How did you get your lemon tree to fruit??? I’ve had mine for 3 years and it blooms often, but never sets fruit!
It came with fruit barely starting!
Do you still live in NC? I’m from AZ and moved to NC and miss my citrus trees! I heard they don’t survive the winters and humidity.
Absolutely love your blog but everything you post about lately is so expensive!
Love the sneakers! Have those in taupe. Very comfy!
