stacked reverse french twist hair tutorial
links + loves + cloud clothes
June is here andย we’ve entered into the season of “get my hair off my neck” here in the south. My default, like many of you, is to just pull it up into a ponytail, but I wanted to think through a different option that could look a bit more dressed up if I needed it to be.
I broke a french twist in half, and rolled each half in opposite directions to keep it from looking too structured, and loved the end result.
Watch the tutorial below!
My favorite bobby pins can be found here!

This is one of the cutest updos I’ve seen! I don’t usually like doing all my hair up, but I might try this!

Kate,
This is by far your most creative and beautiful updo! Just when I thought they had all been done, you pull out this one! So simple yet so different! Love it!
That looks so lovely! I think I am going to have to attempt to copy this, we’ll see how that works out for me…would be so perfect for summer though!

A ponytail seems to be my go to these days, especially with the warmer weather. I love this idea to keep my hair off my neck. Thanks!
So beautiful! You make it look so effortless!
That’s such a pretty hair look!! I’ll have to give it a try sometime.

I love it! A bit off topic, but do you mind sharing which lipstick you are wearing in this video?
Thanks!
What comb do you use? I searched the blog but couldn’t find anything! Thanks!
just search for “comb”. She has talked about what comb she uses several times.
Ooooooh pretty ๐ And now that I’ve figured out bobby pins, doable!
I’m confused. The two twists are in the same direction? They’re both twisted clockwise. Am I missing something? It’s super cute but just trying to understand your directions!
Or if saying clockwise is not correct, they’re both the left side pulled over the right side more? Please help!
I thought the same thing. I’m confused too!
I’m with Abijah and Kristin–this is super, super cute, but your verbal instructions saying to put the stacked twists in opposite directions are not actually being reflected in the video! Both of your twists are being pulled left to right. Still a super cute tutorial but the verbal and visual instructions are different!
Oh! After staring at the pictures for awhile I finally got it–the bottom one is twisted from the bottom up, and the top one is twisted from the top down.
Pretty awesome tutorial, and the result is cool. We’ll try this at our salon. Thanks for sharing with us!
WOW.. So easy and sooo cute!! Thank you very much for the tip. I have been looking for some inspiration for the weekend hair and I got it now thanks to you ๐
So pretty! I will try this ASAP as I have been so tempted to cut my own hair shorter recently!
I loved your hair color. And thanks for tips.
