My sister spent so many years growing her hair out so I was only allowed to give her trims! But lately she’s been spicing up her usual locks and actually surprised me with an interest in chopping it into a bob!

I so love her hair. So glad you did this video. I think I have figured out maybe my curling iron barrel is too small, as my hair ends up looking more curled than the wave/bend that I love!!

I love that – to the point where I’ve been thinking of chopping my hair, and that’s pushing me over the edge. I can show my stylist the pictures, but is there any particular way I should describe this? Also, my hair looks somewhat similar to your sister’s in thickness, etc, but with more curl. Would this work on hair that’s halfway between wavy and curly?

Love this look! Lately I’ve been looking at lots of photos of this particular style, and I’m having such a hard time finding photos of the same cut straight and also with loose waves. It feels like the only “view” I can find is after someone has curled/styled it and I have no idea how it looks straight (I like to wear my hair both ways and let’s be honest…I’m not going to curl every day 🙂 ). Any chance you have photos of what this cute haircut looks like on your sister blown out straight as well? If not, I would LOVE it if you included a quick snapshot of what the cut looks like pre-curled in the future :). I love your blog!

Agreed! This cut is perfect. My hair is as long as Lauren’s was pre-cut, so I’d love to see a straightened version to show my stylist!

I’m curious why you used the Pureology volume mist instead of the product you rave about all the time, the Aquage Uplifting Foam? I have very thin and wavy hair and am wondering which of these two products would be best for me. Thanks!

Oh goodness, does your Uplifting Foam know you cheated on it with the Levitation mist? I mean I know you were probably thinking about the Foam the entire time, and it didn’t mean anything with Levitation, but honesty and being upfront is probably the best way to reconciliation here. 🙂
I just had my hair cut back into a bob just like Lauren’s, except mine has more layers. I must have layers, esp in the crown, or it lays so flat! Glad you showed this cut because I was afraid the bob was no longer “in” even tho I know it’s a classic!
Love the cut! Have a random question that’s hair related. I found a hair style/cut that I really like, but unfortunately it’s only shown curled and it’s difficult to see the true cut. Are hair dressers/stylists able to decipher a cut that is shown curled and not straight?
