“Let’s get a picture of David and Me”
Helping “tomorrow me” out
Actually, the goal was to get a photo of my mom with both boys sitting on a blanket in the park but Luke was snoozin’ away in the stroller and I didn’t want to disturb him.
So Mom and David it was.
Grandma: “Take his bib off!”
Me: “OH the ground is wet, let’s sit on this rock instead!”
Grandma: “David, look at mama!”
Me: “DAVE! DAVID! DAVID! HEY! LOOK OVER HER! DAAAAVID! ZOOBAZOOBABEEPBOBOTTLYDOT! TUNA-MATATA! DAAAAAVE! DAVID HEY! IMMA GET CHU! DAVVVVVVVVVV!”
Grandma and me: “Mmmmyeah this ain’t happenin’.

Haha! SOOOO can relate!
So cute – David looks so big all of a sudden! Becoming a big brother will do that to a guy, I guess. 😉 Is that Pullen Park? We LOVE going there when we visit my parents in Raleigh!

hahaha of course! Love this post and OMG your mom! At a glance I definitely thought she was your sister Lauren!
Too cute. And then, Murphy’s Law, they give that nice, big smile right at you as soon as you’ve thrown in the towel and put the camera down 🙂 You gotta love it!
Hahaa this is so cute! Toddlers are always so busy and have zero time for pictures!
Wow your mom and sis look like twins!
Well this is fantastic.

This may be a “boy” thing. I have two boys and struggle to get a nice snapshot of them! By the time I am tired of trying, I am sweating and mad! Ha!
Lol!!! Yes!!! I recognize this scenario quite well. I have two boys and it takes hours, outfit changes (because of drool, sweat, dirt, etc) and several other people to help me get one good picture of them. Then I’m sweating and frustrated because I only want one photo!!!! I get it.
I just wanna point out the short sleeve shirts (in March) and I am over here still walking around sporting my winter jacket and boots! That’s all 🙂
Cute pictures.
Greetings from PA!
Wow! I totally thought you had gone dark. Your mom looks just like you.
I love this and even if they are photographer perfect, I think the pics are cute. I liked to take out my camera when the kids did something frustrating, or I was just at the end of my rope at the end of the day. I ended up with adorable jammie pictures once doing that (and my sanity), and another favorite is one of my son, all smiles, after he unloaded the contents of our pantry.
Ha! Story of my life. My son is 15-mo too and I swear after he turned 1, I have not been able to get a good picture to save the life of me! The camera used to excite him and he would sit still and smile for it, now he tunes me out so darn good and cares more about dust on a floor than a camera!
I think it’s hilarious his shirt is soaked that quickly!!!!!
That is why he’s always in a bib!
Funny story! Lauren and your mom are twinsies, for sure.
David does look like such a big boy now! He’s going to be a football player, for sure!
Just a suggestion:

That drool! Eww! I’m sure he’ll turn cuter when he’s older.
David is just precious! I enjoy your blog so much and thought you might not mind a little suggestion regarding grammar. Please do not interpret this as criticism, but rather as a helpful suggestion. An easy way to determine when to use “I” or “me” is to remove the first person (noun) in the sentence. In other words, you wouldn’t say, “Let’s get a picture of I.”
You would say, “Lets get a picture of me.” Hence, “Let’s get a picture of David and me.” As another example, you would say, “David and I went to the park.” This is correct because you would say, “I went to the park.” I hope this explanation makes sense and helps!
Thank you for the reminder. I was taught the other way so it’s hard for me to remember to switch it!
so glad you pointed this out – was driving me crazy but didn’t want to be the grammar police, lol!
So cute! You’re mother looks fantastic. She definitely looks like she should be your sister! Does she have any tips or secrets that she might share with us??
My bad. *Your*
