A Bump Nest Giveaway

next
the pull thru braid

I started using “The Nest”, as I affectionately call it, much earlier on in this pregnancy than with my last one. Because why not? I also started wearing maternity clothes as soon as the double pink lines showed up on the positive test but that’s a story for another time.

I remember it taking about 2 days of use last year before I fell deeply in love with this pillow, and I could barely sleep without it.

Frankly, pregnant or not, I think anyone couldΒ develop a serious attachment to such a comfortable pillow.

bump

For one thing, it’s huge in a really great way. I tried one other pillow before this one last year and it was so small it just slid away from me all night. When it comes to a body pillow, that last thing you want is for it to be giving you a hassle through out the night. It needs to rise to the occasion and stick by you. It needs to be there for you to lean on. I’ve decided to stop the jokes here but you need to know I deleted two additional jokes as a favor to you.Β

The BumpNest allows you to wrap your legs about it, giving your knees a rest, and makings sure it keeps you on your side all night.

bump2

I mean, if an elephant can get comfortable in it, that’s sayin’ something. And by the end of my pregnancy I feel/look like an elephant, so at least I know I can sleep soundly.

So, do you want to win one? BumpNest is generously giving one away right here! Just enter using the tool below!

You can also use promo code “SMALLTEN2″ to get 10% off your order (valid until 10/31/14)

Super awesome! I couldn’t afford a bump nest with my first pregnancy… but boy would I love to win one πŸ™‚

I love how you said that you were in preggo pants the minute you found out that you were preggo… I don’t what what it is about that 2nd baby… my waist seemed to pop immediately too πŸ™‚ How could a baby smaller than a kidney bean make my waist that much bigger lol

Reply
Megan says · 09.16.14

Well baby was only the size of a kidney bean but your uterus is bigger than that at that point. πŸ™‚ That’s what I always tell myself haha. When I start feeling like it’s popping out I go look up how big my uterus is at X weeks and it’s usually much more impressive.

Oh goodness I would so love to win this! I have 3 months to go and not sure how I am going to get any sleep with the horrible hip pains I have been getting each night. A regular body pillow just doesn’t do the job–sounds like this could be a winner! πŸ™‚

I am coming up on 7 months pregnant and wake every single morning with really bad back pain. I have had such a terrible time sleeping at night this time around (second baby) I would be over the moon to win this!!

Good for you, Kate! I never understood why so many people and blogs stated, “Don’t buy or wear pregnancy clothes too early, you’ll look dumb.” Excuse me?! I’ll buy them when I’m ready for them, first trimester or third, thankyoueverymuch! I had my son back in May, and just started wearing real clothes again a month ago. Whatevs. πŸ™‚

What a timely giveaway – was considering buying one earlier this week but haven’t yet (15 weeks along in 1st pregnancy). After sleeping 3 hours last night, I think the time has come to invest in some good sleep. Any chance BumpNest will share a discount code for your readers who don’t win?

After reading your post, I started searching for coupon codes because I NEED THAT PILLOW (only 9 weeks preg with #2, but the restless nights are already beginning). So, after a quick search, I was sent back to your blog to another post you did on the bump nest almost exactly a year ago today…so funny! (and yes, I did try to use the old code juuuuust in case, but no luck…obvs). If anyone knows of a code that can be used at checkout, help a (pregnant) sister out!

Would love to win this wonderful pillow.
I’m 25 days away from my do date with my first child, and I haven’t had a full night’s sleep for several months now.

Would love to win this! I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks in May, but I was very close to buying a body pillow. All research pointed to Bump Nest, but the price was giving me sticker shock. We have just begun trying again and I hope to be needing this pillow very soon. Thanks for an awesome giveaway!

I’m so excited for this! I am 8 weeks pregnant with my second and was waiting for my work bonus to come thou so I could get one. I am a high risk pregnancy sadly because my first was born stillborn. We miss him everyday, but I am double trying to keep his brother/sister safe.

My hubby bought me the bump nest for Christmas last year, I was about 16 weeks along at that point. It became my best friend. But for the sake of my marriage, I would still be sleeping with it post pregnancy!!! The hubby was a little jealous.

I love body pillows, and I have already decided that when I need to change mine I will buy that one, with belly or not!

I have this pillow…used it my entire pregnancy…how do you keep it from getting lumpy? Mine has appeared to cave in where I wrap my legs around it!

Thanks,

If you wash and dry the pillow on a regular basis it will stay nice and fluffy! I know it it’s a pain but it worked for me.

I purchased a bumpnest based on your recommendation when you used it with David. It is the BEST thing I’ve purchased for any of my pregnancies. I have been sleeping so soundly! Washing and drying it as prescribed has been perfect, and even putting the cover back on wasn’t the pain I anticipated.

I bought a bump nest for my husband (after reading Kate’s post a year ago) because of his back problems. He loves it.

I had never even heard of this body pillow until now. For my last two pregnancies I just used one I got from Target and it wasn’t that comfortable. I’m not pregnant…yet but already have “The Nest” page bookmarked for future use. Thanks for the suggestion!!

I am really thrilled you’re having this giveaway! I’m pregnant with my first, and know this will help me get back into a comfy sleep after those crazy preggo dreams wake me up multiple times a night!! Living in Canada I hadn’t yet committed to buying one due to the shipping costs, so the chance to win one is amazing! Thank you!!

P.s- as someone new to entering contests using the raffle copter, a quick explanation on what to enter in the boxes would be so helpful!!! I was lost and not sure I entered the right info

Thank you, thank you for blogging about this pillow last year. I was pregnant with my second daughter during the same time you were pregnant with David and I bought one of these babies after I read about it on your blog. It was life-changing. I had been using a different pillow that I wasn’t really happy with and I was finally able to sleep after I got my bump nest. I also continued using it post-partum for several months. My older daughter loved it too and used to fight me for it, lol. Sophie will be nine months this month and we just put away the bump nest last month.

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy reading your blog especially last year when I was pregnant because I felt I could relate to you. Sophie was born on Dec. 23 via c-section because she was breech, just like David. Again, thank you for posting about this pillow. I had no idea it even existed and I’m not sure I ever would have known if I didn’t read about it here.

Someone lent me a Boppy body pillow while I was pregnant, but it did nothing for me. Way too flat. I needed something like this Bump Nest instead! Gah. If only I could afford/win one for the next pregnancy! … But then I’d need a bigger bed too, or hubby would be on the couch. ;P

Feel kinda dumb but I can’t figure out what to put in the text boxes? I’ve pinned a couple of their pictures into my nursery board but what does the entry actually need?

I would love to win this. They are so pretty! I’m 24 weeks along with my first and every time I roll over, the baby starts kicking me as hard as she can. I’m so tired. πŸ™

I must be the only one who doesn’t like the Bump Nest. I, too, purchased this after Kate’s recommendation and I do not like it. The first couple months I used it were great – but when my belly got huge, it was impractical and uncomfortable. Since it is ‘candy-cane shape’ – you have to take the entire pillow with you when you want to turn to your other side (which happened frequently in the last two months or so) to be able to continue to hug it with your legs. I ended up not using it the last month or so and just using regular pillows.

I am so excited to say I have ordered my Bump Nest. I am 19 weeks PG with baby number 3. I do not remember being this uncomfortable with baby number 1 or 2 but my hips and back are killer already. I am hoping this pillow is my savior. Hopefully by the end of the week I will have this soft cuddly beauty.
