The Foundation I Thought I Wouldn’t Like

So, The Small Things Blog is getting a makeover.

Let me put it in terms you may understand: this ain’t just a trim.

This is full color, highlights, bangs, and taking about 9 inches off the bottom.

Here’s what YOU need to know: nothing. Nothing is changing as far as the URL  or twitter or Facebook or anything like that. You can still type in www.thesmallthingsblog.com into your browser and you’ll be directed to my site.

It’s going to look different though. No wild and crazy colors, because well. . . c’mon. . . but it will be better organized, perhaps easier to find certain posts, and I will have a much MUCH better way for you to find hair tutorials.

Since it’s a pretty major overhaul, there may be a bit of tweaking that needs to happen once the site is redesigned and live. So, if things look weird, bear with me. If links go to the wrong place, I probably know about it already. You are, of course, more than welcome to comment and notify me of anything you see.

In other news, I’m really excited about attending The Brand Market on Saturday in Raleigh. This is a one-day mini-conference that you can read all about here! I always enjoy meeting other bloggers and business owners, so I think it will be a fun time.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! See you back here with a fresh face lift on Monday!

Excited for the redesign! I’m also brainstorming a redesign for my blog as the colours I chose were never really me ya know? Now that I feel a little more comfortable with my blog and am starting to find my voice I want to change it all! Exciting times!

love love LOVE reading your blog each day! I was wondering if you would consider doing a post where you share some tips on becoming a hairdresser/ some things we should know before going into that field. 🙂

I love the new design of your blog. I wanted to let you know how much your hair tutorials have helped me to excel at updo’s. I have been a booth-rental hairstylist for 12 years and, while my specialty is cut and color, I was never comfortable with updo’s. Watching your tutorials have added a new layer to my business and have taught me more than any class I’ve taken. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Love the new layout! I don’t know if this is just me and my terrible eyes, but the color of the font now is much harder to read (better on the posts, the comments are very very light).

I’m so excited about the “re-do” because I have become totally addicted! Today, Monday April 28, 2014 I do find some changes, but the new font / color scheme is not so great on my 40 (+) eyes 🙁 I really can’t see my own typing…Are there still changes in the works? THANKS! You’re awesome!

oohhh!! I love it!! I love how clean everything looks and the design, although updated is still so you!!! I have spent the past few weeks setting up a blog on a word press platform and the learning curve can be pretty steep (I had never blogged before), did you switch over?
I have to say that although I am not much of a hair or beauty person, i have read your blog religiously since I found you on Pinterest about 3 years ago! I love your stories and the way you write, I just wanted to say thanks for being you!! You are one of my inspiration bloggers. 🙂
Thanks again!!

Consider things like job growth in your area, lack
of similar product, and future demand for your property.
These 3 steps are necessary in analyzing your deals. (The exception would
be if the property is titled in the name of a corporation, an LLC, or otherwise
set up as a separate entity.

With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation? My website has a lot
of unique content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it
appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my permission. Do
you know any methods to help reduce content from being
stolen? I’d genuinely appreciate it.

Instead we suffer from it, by storing too much fat and
rarely, if ever, burning it. In principle you should always only buy
the least processed rice. Now we hear, wheat for man, oats for the
horse and such.
