It’s Friday! While this week was full, it didn’t kick my booty so that’s nice.
Here are my top 5 moments of the week!
1. I started drinking Mean Green somewhat regularly. You may remember this post from awhile back when my husband got into juicing. I was skeptical and resisitant. Now I kind of crave it.
My favorite juice recipe is basically Mean Green : 3 leaves of Kale, 2 handfuls of spinach, 2-3 carrots, 2 stalks celery, 1/2 a cucumber, 1 green apple, 1/4 lemon. I don’t put ginger in mine because I really don’t like it.
Anyway, I’m not using it as a meal replacement or anything, just an addition to my daily eats. I feel really full afterwards and I can practically feel the wonderful nutrients rushing through my body. That is, of course, until I follow it up with a bowl of Corn Pops or even a Pop Tart. But hey, it’s better than nothing, right?
2. I bought this bag that somehow jumped into my cart at Target. It happens to be navy, which I’m personally a big fan of, and I happen to really like it. A few people asked if it’s Philip Lim on Instagram and it is not. It’s Merona.
3. I can’t, CAN’T, believe I’m 26 weeks pregnant. That means I start the third trimester next week. What in the world. That also means I saved almost all of my travel for the third trimesters. Whoops. I’m actually really not concerned about that, neither is my doctor, so we’re good to go.
4. I needed a new phone case for a few reasons. I use the word “need” here loosely folks.
#1 it was time for a change
#2 even though I LOVED my rifle paper co. case, I found that my makeup rubbed off on the rubber edge along the front and I had to keep cleaning it. I liked the “security” of the rubber front, but I’m afraid it doesn’t work well with my face (aka makeup).
5. My mom is coming down for a visit this weekend! We are going to do some serious damage to the house (and by damage I mean hang artwork and accessorize) and maybe get a plan going in the nursery. I’m looking forward to spending a few days with her! She’s also bringing me a pile of Cortland apples and I can’t stop thinking about them.
We pick our Cortlands while they are still a little on the green side and MAN are they delicious. It’s my only regret for not living in the north anymore. Okay, not my only regret, but it’s up there.

ha! At 36 weeks, I went to my brother in law’s out of town wedding last weekend, and when I asked the doctor what they’d recommend I do for such an event, her response was basically “Not go.” LOL Apparently they don’t recommend travel after 35/36 weeks. Oh well! We survived. Though sitting upright for several hours will make your feet swell like whoa, so just be prepared for that when you’re traveling!

The drink looks great! I used to work at Whole Foods Market and we started making smoothies that were just like that one, a bunch of fruits or veggies…very tasty and guiltless 🙂

I have that exact same bag from Target, and I cannot tell you how many people have asked me if I got it at Nordstrom or Neiman’s. One girl even commented on how she wanted the same one, but Michael Kors was just out of her price range, ha! Such a good find!
I love the Merona brand at Target. They make such classy things that look designer, just like that bag! I bought some red cortland apples today at the market, can’t wait to try them!

I did. The grandchildren came to visit, and so did some of my friedns, and my offspring sent me a $50 gift certificate for Amazon. So I was well taken care of. Should I admit that I spent the gift certificate finishing my collection of Buffy and buying one season of Angel? I never watch TV shows while they are on; I wait till they are off and somebody insists on showing me the DVDs of one season, and then I decide whether I want to buy the whole thing. That way I don’t get caught up in such a way that I get hysterical if I don’t get home in time to see my TV show, as a certain man who lives not very far away from me like ten feet used to do until I promised I would buy him all the seasons of The Closer!
