We just moved from Alabama, where we had 1/4″ of snow every 5 years, to Colorado and everyone warned me that we were going to get SO MUCH SNOW. And guess what. We’ve had basically no snow and I’m so disappointed!

I don’t want a ton of snow but every once in awhile would be nice. The ear warmer would come in handy though because the wind is awful here!

1. I used to live in the mountains, and I would dream of a winter with no snow. Now I live in the South, and miss the snow! (go figure!) so I think my answer is I would like a little of both. I would love to experience a white Christmas, and then the snow can go away and be mild again. A girl can dream, right? Love this ear warmer!!!

I would love love love to have a cold winter with tons of snow! Although cleaning my car off, and trudging through the snowy city of Pittsburgh can be a hassle sometimes, I think this city is at its finest when it’s covered in snow! 🙂 Pittsburgh has a lot of gloomy and rainy weather throughout the year – we’ve even had some days like that in December and January this winter – and when the snow covers the ground it not only gives everyone a new perspective of their day, but a new perspective on the city also. It’s simply stunning.

After experiencing many different seasons I really think I would love a heavy winter with the opportunity to escape to somewhere warm when I get the winter blues. But I have to say I love my AZ winters it keeps me pretty happy and I do enjoy going to the cabin when we want to be chilly.

I was born and raised in california, so needless to say I am a sun, sand and ocean kind of girl. I moved to a small town outside of reno where it snows. We dont get alot of snow but we do get it. My kids and my husbadnd love love love the snow and are snowboarding addicts. I didnt realize I loved and needed the snow until this year when we didnt have a white christmas and this last weekend was our first snow fall and today it is all gone. I have been sad and kind of depressed and when i woke up to see the snow it was so pretty and it gave me a huge smile. Last year we had our first snow storm that actually closed down the schools and I am hoping for more snow storms like that this year. I am going to call in sick to work and cuddle in a blanket on the couch and watch a movie or read a good book while its snowing. All while my husband and kids chomp at the bit to go snowboarding. Up until this past weekend we havent had snow or rain and I think if im going to freeze my you know what off there needs to be a reason- bring on the snow!! jenorozco@charter.net

Hey Kate,

first can I tell you that I am so jealous of your name, when I was little and me and my friends would play house I would pretened my name was Kate..haha! But, I also live in North Carolina, near Charlotte!! But, since we don’t always get that much snow I would rather have a cold winter with a lot of snow just because I think it is so beautiful, it really accents everything that God has created when it is covered in white! 🙂
I also just became a fan, and I love all of your hair videos!!

I would rather have a mild winter with barely any snow! I have many reasons that I am not a huge fan of winter but my top three are, 1. I strongly dislike driving in the snow, 2. Ice is not good for the uncoordinated…and that’s me haha and 3. I feel like I can’t wear any cute shoes in the snow!

Honestly, at this point we have had a very abnormally mild winter. Basically what that means for us is it’s very MUDDY. We’re getting the same amount of precipitation, but instead of it being snow it’s been rain, creating mud like we usually just have in the spring. I probably would have used to say I’d rather have a mild winter, but right now, I keep finding myself wanting the temps to drop so that we’ll have snow instead of mud.

I live in Arkansas and we always say “If you don’t like the weather right now, just wait 5 minutes and it will change again!” Which is SO true! However, when it comes to winter time, I prefer a mild winter with one good stay-home-for-a-day (or two) snow storm. We are due for our snow, which usually comes in late January, early February. The super cute knitted ear warmer would be perfect for when the snow does come! Even better will be when it’s football season again and the wind is making my ears chilly, just pull out the ear warmer and voila!

I would rather have a cold winter with tons of snow. We had a great winter last year and the year before when my daughter was a baby, but now that she’s old enough to enjoy it, it has only snowed once and maybe an inch or two. Plus, I think the snow makes things look pretty and quiet. Driving is the only problem, but it’s a good reason to stay in and have family time. E-mail: redhed44@msn.com

Personal if I could pick just one it would be to have a Mild Winter with very little snow, however for just one week we can Lots of snow that must immediately melt that would be perfect. Whether or not it could ever occur slim to none. In the part of NC that I am in we have not had a drop yet and it will be February in a week. Happy Tuesday 🙂

I have been a Facebook fan for sometime now after receiving a headband last fall for my birthday from a friend.

Hi Kate!

I would rather have a cold winter with tons of snow! I grew up in Montana and now live in Portland, OR – I miss the snow SO much! This year, I went home to Montana for Christmas, for the first time in 10 years – I was so very excited to have a white Christmas! But…it didn’t snow once while I was there! ;-( What a crazy winter it’s been.

I live in Utah so we’ve so far been having the cold with little snow. I love snow so I would love it if it matched our cold. I won’t be satisfied until I have 12″ in my yard. And a beautiful knit earwarmer would be good karma to get us this snow. 🙂

It totally depends on where I’m living at the time. I’ve I’m living in a place with mountains, I would prefer cold with tons of snow so I can ski. If I’m a place without mountains, I would choose mild with little snow. Winter is uglier without a lot of snow, but if there are no mountains I can accept the ugliness!

I love winter only because of the snow … well, and it’s my birthday in November! I live in Edmonton, Alberta so our winters are usually very frigid – I’m talking -30 to -40 and colder with the wind chill. This year we have had an unusually warm winter so I’ve been missing the huge snowfalls. A headband from Three Bird Nest would be wonderful for our winters though!

I am loving the snow, but am wishing for the warmer days of Spring so my toddler and I can get outside without spending 20 minutes bundling up! However, we would not appreciate the warmth of spring without the cold and snow of winter. So I vote for a cold and snowy winter!

(Although a vacation to Florida sounds pretty inviting right about now!) Snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and snowboarding are all incredibly fun. Mild winter for sure! If we could have a winter with no snow at all that would be amazing. I plan on moving somewhere warm ASAP!

By far I’d rather have a snowy cold winter! I live in Wisconsin so I’m a happy ducky! 🙂 Skating and Sledding are some of my favorite activities! 😀

Im from Southwest Oklahoma and we have hardly had a winter at ALL! One day it will be in the 30s and the next in the 70s, so to actually have a cold winter would be nice for a change!

I grew up in Ohio so all of my winters were filled with snow and ice no matter if we wanted it or not! Now I live in Texas where there seems to be no winter at all. I think I would rather have a mild winter, with a little snow, but not too much 🙂

I would like to have a white Christmas, and then the remainder of the winter to be mild. =)As weird as it may sound, I can handle the cold better as long as there is snow on the ground.

I attend a university in south-eastern Minnesota and lately it has been TOO cold. I like snow but definitely not the cold…but I guess you really can’t have one without the other here in [what I prefer to call it,] MinneSNOWta.

I also just became a fan of Three Bird Nest on FB. My ears would love to be covered with one of these fashionable accessories as I walk to class everyday!

I’m from big snowcountry, and have recently moved to an area with very little snow…I must stay that I am not missing twice a day shoveling, but am missing enough snow for cross country skiing and snowshoeing!

Love your blog!

I’d much rather have a mild winter, but that is because I grew up in Minnesota and have since lived in Chicago, Denver, and Cleveland. My most mild winters have been spent in Denver.

Mild winter with little snow is better to me than lots of snow. Snow, although beautiful, is very messy, and cold! I’m ready to head to Destin, FL!

I prefer a mild winter, BUT, with mild temps means SNOW, which i like in moderation, but not heaps. With cold means no snow, but FREEZING temps…this is hard! lol. SO, i guess I’d prefer to live in Australia during the winter months — when it is summer there!! Problem solved! lol
