Cookie Week: Salted Chocolate Caramel Clusters
(this is not a cookie, I know, but it falls under that category!)

hey small things blog readers! lauren here from From My Grey Desk blog. and i’m bringing you something delicious and perfect for the holidays…or anytime of year!

prepare yo-selves for the best toffee eva. i’m serious. and it’s takes 10 minutes.
ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
3 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon karo syrup
1 – 5 oz. package sliced almonds
2 – 1.5 oz. hershey chocolate bars
chopped nuts
directions:
1. cook sugar, butter, water, syrup in an electric skillet at 350-375 degrees
2. stir for approximately 10 minutes, until caramel color
3. add almonds & spread in buttered pan
4. break hershey bars and scatter on top of warm toffee
5. let soften and spread (if needed, pop in oven at 350 degrees for about a minute to soften chocolate)
6. sprinkle with nuts
7. put pan in freezer for about 2 hours
8. break apart and eat
start with all your ingredients:
heat up your electric skillet to 350-375 degrees (you could do this on the stove if you don’t have an electric skillet)
melt your butter, sugar, water, and karo syrup
stir for approximately 10 minutes, until caramel color
butter a pan or some dish that you’ll put the toffee in
this is about what it will look like once it’s ready
stir in almonds
yum
spread in pan and dot with chocolate bar
spread the softened chocolate all over that toffee
after taken out of freezer, break apart and chow down!
