Cookie Week: Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
Cookie Week: Soft and Gooey Gingersnaps
Today I am going to show you a very popular recipe at my house. A sweet friend gave it to me years ago, and we have loved it ever since.
Let’s begin..You will need:
1 1/2 sticks butter
Cocoa Powder
Sugar
2 Eggs
Vanilla
Flour
Baking Soda
Baking Powder
12 oz. bag of Chocolate Chips
mix together:
3/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
Then in a separate bowl, mix:
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
Then add to wet ingredients & mix well
Pour bag of chocolate chips in & mix together
**Refrigerate for at least 2 hours**
Roll into small balls, then roll in 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
Bake at 350 degrees for 9 1/2 minutes–do not over bake these!
They should come out looking fluffy & beautiful 🙂
And trust me, they are some of the best tasting chocolate cookies out there. 🙂

These look great – AND I think I have all the ingredients except the chocolate chips. I do have rolos on hand – wonder if I could substitute….hmmmm…..Thanks for the recipe!
Anybody know what kind of bowl that is with the mixer attached?
It looks like a Bosch mixer-if you make bread a lot, Bosch is the holy grail 😉

These are some of my all time favorite cookies!! I got the recipe for them several years ago (maybe 7?) from my sister in law, and whenever I make them, they IMMEDIATELY disappear. SOOOO yummy!! I think we called them Zebra Cookies or something?? Thanks for reminding me anyway, now I need to go make some!! 😉
this are some of my favorite holiday cookies! my mom never baked but one of our neighbors would make them every Christmas. i remember always looking forward to her coming over with a warm tin of them 🙂

Thanks so much for sharing these, Lindsay! My mom used to make a similar version (without chocolate chips) that we called Chocolate Kisses. I made your version last night and they are AMAZING! I thought they might have been underbaked but I let them set overnight and they are perfect!!! So yummy!

Hi Kate, just wanted to let you know that I love this cookie recipe! I baked them for the first time after reading this blog in 2011 and I’ve done it so many times since. Every time I make the cookies everyone asks for the recipe because they like them so much!
