If you’ve read any of my posts about hairstyles lately, you may notice that I mention using high quality bobby pins. I’m talking professional quality. And while it’s completely normal to purchase hair products and even hair styling tools from your stylist, bobby pins are one of those “forgotten” items.
Bobby pins are so important and will determine the success of your hairstyle. And the cheap ones from the drug store? Terrible. I’ve tried ’em. They simply don’t hold.
I always have a stock pile of bobby pins since I do a lot of bridal and wedding party hair, and I would panic if I didn’t have my bobby pins with me.
I’d rather heat my curling iron by holding it next to a lighter than use bad bobby pins.
Are you catching my drift here? ๐
Anyway, I want you to have some too. Just because I like ya.
I’m hosting a GIVEAWAY of 20 bronze bobby pins + two bronze bobby pins with little rosettes attached! Those could be added to any hairstyle for a little something extra. Maybe the twisted bangs? Or a ponytail? Or slip one in near the half french twist?
And the great think about the high quality bobby pins? They can be reused! These are strong little guys.
I could keep going but I think you get the picture.
How to enter:
1. Leave a comment below telling me your favorite way to wear your hair. Down? Up? 1/2 Up? Braided? Twisted? Fish Tail? Anything and everything counts!
Details: giveaway only available for US residents, only one entry per person.
The Winner will be chosen Saturday 8/20/2011 at 8:00am EST by Random.Org.

I like wearing my hair down because you do an awesome job of cutting it!
Aw thanks Kelly! (see you tomorrow btw!)
My favorite way to wear it is with a small french braid. When you help me grow it out, my favorite way will be curled, with a little french braid. I’m looking forward to that day.

In a pony tail, with the front section bobby pined up! ๐
Annette Huetter
Down with waves, and a twisted front section bobby pined up to the side.

I usually wear my hair down and wavy and since I am trying to grow out my bangs, I usually do the twisted bang and pin them off to the side. Every once in a while I’ll put my hair up in a ponytail or low bun ๐
I found a new way to wear my hair with a french braid in the front, and either leave the rest of my hair down ,or in an ponytail. ๐
Twisted bangs! They are out of the way, and yet I still feel like I have a hair-do (like I did something with my hair that day).
Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I like to wear it down, sometimes with waves creates by my new GIANT triple barrel! Although I mostly wear it up in the summer due to this darn heat! ๐

I usually wear it down with waves or twist my bangs back if they need a trim ๐
I twist my bangs a lot, but I tried your curled half-up style the other day and it rocked! LOVE your tutorials, they are so helpful!!
My FAVORITE way to wear my hair is all down with wavy curls done by my GHD flat iron!

Right now I am loving wearing my hair down.

I have been wearing my hair half up for a while now. It’s a classic that helps keep the hair out of my face. I also recently learned how to french braid my own hair so when I have a little extrea time, I give tha shot. It’s a work in progress. ๐

I wear it loose & wavy on normal temp days and on super hot days a messy bun w/a cute headband or flower on the side.
My favorite way to wear my hair is down with loose waves, and a little braid in the front!
I’m pretty boring – usually just wear it down, straight. I am so glad I found your site, because I definitely need some new inspiration. ๐
My favorite way is back in a messy bun using those twist pins. But I’m looking forward to watching your video tutorial and doing some more fun things with my hair!
I’ve got to know….what kind of bobby pins do you use? Is there a particular brand you like better than others?? I need some good quality ones!
Baby Battle Rattle: I use Diane Brand, which is a professional brand. Ask your stylist if he/she can get you some!
Awesome! Thanks Kate!!!
What brand of bobby pin do you use?
I use Diane Brand!
How can I tell if bobby pins are high quality?
Thanks! ๐
Hello I am new here to your website. Really enjoy what you are sharing with everyone. I like doing several different things to my hair. But since i have been letting my hair grow I would have to say a side pony tail with decorative clips i think it is fun and can also give a classy look depending on how creative you get. Thanks Deanna Marie ๐
I love how you don’t do a model, but your own hair, because I haven’t figured out how to to take my head off and put it on the counter! I am going to do all of your styles with my hair because you show exactly how to do it so simply!
Please let me know if you’re looking for a writer for your blog. You have some really good posts and I believe I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d love to write some articles for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine.
