Two products I use on “light” makeup days

next
We have something exciting to share!

I prefer a full coverage foundation on days that I’m shooting anything for the blog, but on off days I’ll either roll with a naked face or simply do a little concealer, brow pencil and mascara.

I wanted to find something that would work in the in-between that provided me with a bit of coverage for my face, without being a heavy, full coverage foundation. I was browsing Nordstrom and came across Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-in-place Powder Makeup. I’ve used Double Wear Stay-in-place Liquid Makeup and also the light version, and both are great. The former does NOT budge and provides very full coverage while the latter is a bit more natural looking.

The Double Wear Stay-in-place Powder Makeup was just what I needed. I apply it with a fluffy brush, like this, and it gives me coverage, evens out my complexion, but doesn’t feel heavy.

I also added Clinique’s Fresh Pressed Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10% onto my purchase that day. I had played around with it at another store one day, and loved that you can simply add it into your existing moisturizer. Vitamin C is a great product to use for anti-aging benefits as well as to add a beautiful glow to your skin. I’ve been using a few different Vitamin C products over the past few months and love how they make my skin look. On days I’m skipping foundation, I make sure to apply my Vitamin C serum for a healthy glow!

While I was shopping for these new products, a few different brands were offering great “gift with purchase” options. I happily qualified for the Estee Lauder gift with purchase and have to say I LOVE the products I got in the bag. I use the primer, eyeshadow palette, and lip gloss for my makeup look for a party I was hosting recently and loved the result!

Unfortunately the Estee Lauder gift with purchase that is pictured above is already sold out, but be sure to check out which other brands are offering gifts with purchase right now at Nordstrom.com. Not only is it a great way to be introduced to new products, but they can also be broken down into excellent stocking stuffers as the holidays are around the corner!

And lastly, now through November 11th you can receive a gift with any scent purchase over $85.00! I’m a huge fan of the Fresh Cream scent from Philosophy and picked up this gift set (for myself!) while I was in store recently. If you are looking for something a bit stronger, perfume-wise, I really love Michael Kors Eau de Parfum. It’s warm, not overly floral, and very easy to wear!

I love Clinique’s products! I’ve used their skincare range for as far as I can remember, but have never tried their makeup. I should!

Thanks for the recommendations! I️ really love Glossier products for no makeup days, the makeup is really light and just evens everything out. The blushes and highlighter are awesome too for a barely there look xxAllie http://www.theallthatglittersblog.com
