Let’s talk about bras

bra

The only time I ever had a bra fitting was during my pregnancy with David, but it was before I knew I was even pregnant. It was helpful, and I invested in fancy bras that I almost never wore. They were a bit too fancy for my taste.

Since that time, I’ve had two kids that I nursed, major weight fluctuations, and let’s just say things are different. I never had a lot to start with, but they had more. . .how do you say it. . . glory? They just look a little sad now. Like they are having a hard time.

“Help us, Kate!”, they seem to cry out to me when I stare in the mirror.

My bra shape needs have changed a bit, and I pretty much always go for a push-up bra. Not because I’m trying to create cleavage, because that isn’t possible folks, but just because I’m trying to round out a bra and I need a little extra nudge from the bottom.

Historically I’ve shopped at Victoria’s Secret but I’ve branched out a little bit more this time around and tried a few different brands.

I bought a bra from ThirdLove after seeing ads on Pinterest for it being “the most comfortable bra you’ll ever wear” and I can say that it is, in fact, the most comfortable bra I’ve ever worn. I’m not sure how they did it, but it feels like magic when it’s on. The problem is, I bought a B cup when I really needed an A. So, I became annoyed at cupping/gapping issues at the top but it was only because I bought the wrong size.

So next I googled, “best bras for small breasts” and I was brought to Lulalu.com. They are designed for petite women, which I’m not in any other area than where my bra goes, but I thought I’d give them a try.

I ordered this one, and loved it. It’s great! It took a good wear or two before it felt very comfortable, but now it’s my go to bra! I also bought a strapless one but I’m returning it as it wasn’t nearly as comfortable.

I’m sort of in need of a back up in case the Lulalu one is in the wash, so I think I’ll try a ThirdLove bra in the proper size (maybe this one?).

Do you have a brand of bra that you are loyal to? Any game-changer great ones? Share below!

I’m SO guilty of wearing lululemon sports bras everyday http://shop.lululemon.com/p/women-sports-bras/Free-To-Be-Bra-32213/_/prod290053?rcnt=9&N=816&cnt=25&color=LW2277S_0001

Or I bought these from walmart when I was going on service trips to third world countries and wear them also http://www.walmart.com/ip/No-Boundaries-Seamless-Cami-Bra/49056377#about

I’m an A/B and both have lining so there’s nothing poking through 🙂

Thank you so much for this post. Before kids I was a good c cup but things have changed and now A seems to be the way. I had no idea that petite bras even existed!! Nice to know I am not alone.

I found after I had kids I had to leave Victorias Secret behind and search for something a little more…mature….for my needs (I’m not saying Vicky’s isn’t mature, just that my bosom needed more than pretty lace to make it look good!) I fell in love with Soma bras because they are immensely comfortable, look nice, and they are more concerned with shaping and smoothing, rather than just increasing cup size. (Oh, and their sleepwear is soooo comfy!) I might try a Third Love bra next, after your review- I’ve seen those ads too but never heard from anyone who actually used them.

I became a Soma loyalist after my first baby. You are right, they are way more concerned about shape, comfort and hiding back fat than VS. I may never try anywhere else. My heart broke when our store closed. I found out that another store in our state will ship to me free of charge from their store so it works out better than the website!

I’m also pretty loyal to Soma. Even their comfy bras come in fun patterns and lace!

Love this! I’m still nursing my second and am interested to see where I end up. I am exactly like you. Petite in the bra area, but no where else. I used to wear Victorias secret as well, but I am over them. I bought soma nursing bras and they have been amazing! Once I am done nursing I will probably buy a few of those and then try the thirdlove bras too. The thirdlove bras look very feminine and pretty which will be nice on days when I want a little something extra. 🙂

I have been on the hunt for the perfect strapless bra for a little over a month. A friend recommended I try the strapless bras made by the Wacoal brand (can be found at Macy’s or Nordstroms). As soon as I tried it on, it was perfect! It gave me the support I needed (as I typically wear C/D bras depending on the brand), it was comfortable, and it doesn’t fall down! I was so excited about it, I began texting several of my friends to spread the word. The Wacoal brand is a little more expensive than I usually spend on a bra, the one I bought was $65, but it is worth every penny! Check them out!

Reply
Catherine says · 06.23.16

I have this strapless bra and it is far and away the best one I have ever owned. All of my other bras are Soma but I will probably never buy any other strapless besides Wacoal.

Amy says · 06.23.16

Natori bras (I get them at nordstrom) for shape and comfort (also nursed 2 babies and understand your woes). Wacoal bra for strapless bra! It’s crazy good.

Reply
Megan says · 06.23.16

I second the recommendation for Natori! That’s the only brand I wear these days. The shape on their T-shirt bras really helps my somewhat sad, small, post-two-nursing-kids breasts look a wee bit better:)

Heather says · 06.23.16

Me too!!! I pretty much only wear Natori bras and underwear at this point. They are THE most comfortable I’ve worn. I stuck up on both every July at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I stopped wearing VS moons ago. They don’t carry my size and always try to put me in what they say is an equivalent size, ummm no, that doesn’t work. I haven’t tried either brand that Kate wrote about though.

Reply
KC says · 06.24.16

Getting fitted by a professional at someplace like nordstrom is ideal! I pretty much only wear Natori, which you can find cheaper at the rack or amazon. I had the opposite issue of Kate, I thought I was a 36C, really I’m a 32D/DD!!! What a difference it makes. When I see my smaller than me friends buying 38As now I’m always like, no no, are you even trying this on?

Look at the brand Lunaire. They are sold at Macy’s and a Belk. They specialize in pretty but supportive styles for larger cup sizes. They also have great support under the arm. I find that area to be lacking in many bras. Wacol are a favorite of mine, too. Lunaire is about half the price.

Notori bras at Nordstorm. Also, if you can go for a fitting, I highly recommend. I had one at the Portland location and it was a total game changer as far as finding the correct size, shape and fit for me.

I found this reddit website (https://www.reddit.com/r/abrathatfits) and it’s been life-changing. The beginner’s guide tells you how to *properly* measure yourself for a bra (my size is SO different from what I was previously trying to wear) and there are all sorts of suggestions from users as to which bras help with various fit issues. For me, I’ve been thrilled to find Betsey Johnson Forever Perfect bras (who knew she made bras?) and I also like b’tempted push ups.

Yes – that post Was a game changer for me, too!! I could never find a bra that fit, even with a “fitting” at VS. Once I figured out I wasn’t a 34A, I was a 32D, bra shopping became much more enjoyable. I need to reevaluate now that I’m post-baby and almost post-nursing, though. DKNY and Wacoal are my favorites.

Spanx has a bra I bought at Dillard’s. It’s the most comfortable bra ever. I have owned three. They last a year of almost daily wear. The straps are too wide for under tank tops, but other than that it is PERFECT. And I don’t even notice it’s on! Spanx Brallelujah

Reply

I love the Spanx bra and it’s the only one I wear. My girls are small and I have a hard time keeping my bra from popping up over them if I raise my arms. Spanx has fixed that, it stays were it suppose to, the material is super soft and the girls look good.

I wear a 32B and am fairly petite, also. I tried a ThirdLove bra and still wear it, but I find it really uncomfortable. (I got a push-up racerback). My favorite every day bra right now is the Gap wireless uplift bra. It actually is pretty and gives me some shape, while being super comfy to wear. http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=1015376&vid=1&pid=178403002
For some reason, I can’t stand wires anymore, but I still need some kind of push-up, and this one seems to do it without wires. I only wish they had it in racerback!

I got it pretty cheap with gap cash or rewards, plus gap sends me a 40% off code nearly every day.

Reply
Jenn I says · 06.23.16

I LOVE the Gap wireless bras!!! I’m small chested – 34A – and I loath underwires. I love the way they look, but they simply don’t fit me. The gap bras are SUPER comfortable, come in all kinds of colors, and the straps can be crisscrossed in the back to deal with racerback situations. (This is actually my only complaint about them – occasionally the straps will come unhooked. My bf is getting very good at re-hooking them without lifting up my shirt.)

I love Soma bras – I was a VS fan for many years, but after kids I needed a change. Soma has many styles and they’re so soft!

Reply
Kelly says · 06.23.16

I love this- very funny. It’s sadly SO true. When I went bra shopping after I was all done nursing two babies, I found that what I used to like didn’t work for me anymore. I don’t like to add extra bulk to the area, so I always went for un-padded bras. Now, however, unless they are molded cups they are still looking pretty sad. I bought two very comfortable bras from Soma (they have the vanishing back kind that are supposed to not create the back muffin top around the bra). They are comfy, but really too bulky for me- they make me look bigger than I am (and I also can’t button some blouses with them on, etc.). Sigh.

Similar situations. I work from home and watch my kids all day. Nursed them both so my shape is different. I recently bought some sports bras from TJMaxx, the ones with the cute strappy straps and a tiny bit of padding and I Love them. They look great under my uniform of tshirts and tank tops and they’re super comfortable. Going to have to check out the strapless everyone is mentioning. I haven’t been able to get a good fit on one since pregnancies and nursing.

I have the same sad situation (having nursed four babies and gone from a nice B to a pitiful A) and I have two suggestions: 1) Aerie bras (I like the Harper and Mia styles) and 2) get a push-up in the tightest band you can, with a C cup. There is less padding in the C cup- just enough to help you fill the cup without spilling out of it- so that it looks more like a regular bra than a come-hither bra.

VS just wants to sell you a bra even if they don’t carry your size; Soma did not have what I needed either. Surprisingly, Nordstrom’s does not carry the petite line and was not aware of it but Macy’s has some in store. Best wishes and please share if you like Wacoal petite. ? My favorite bra is Natori ‘Element’ Full Fit Contour Underwire Bra
$68.00 #569228 at Nordstrom. I am 5’2 125 pounds, size 6, 36B fits me perfectly. Reviews say this bra stretches and it does in the straps (but not much), not enough to make me stop buying it. Shapes the girls perfectly! Comfortable too! 🙂

I also have always been a small chested women (before children I was fitted for a 32B), but after nursing two babies for over 12 months each and weight changes due to pregnancy I finally sucked it up and got fitted at Gap Body and measured a 34A. KEY: GET MEASUERED! I’ve been rotating between the Gap Body Lace t-shirt bra and the Gap Body Breath Wireless Bra for about two months now and LOVE THEM! I wash in a garment bag and lay flat to dry and they are holding up wonderfully.

Theresa B says · 06.23.16

As a large chested gal, I finally learned that just because a bra is made in a large size doesn’t mean it’s meant to support that size. Stores like VS and Third Love don’t carry bras in my size so I’m a bit limited to where I can shop but now I only buy my bras at Lane Bryant. The Balconette style is the only one I like and feel comfortable in. And a few years ago, I had the sales lady at Lane Bryant give me a proper fitting and it was life changing. I highly recommend it. I also learned to buy my bras so they fit comfortably on the first row of hooks (the tightest setting). Then as the bra ages and looses some elasticity, you just use the looser settings to keep the fit.

Kara says · 06.23.16

Third Love. Third Love. Third Love. I can’t tell you how much I adore their bras. Like you, I gave them a try after seeing Instagram ads. I now have three of their bras and they are my favorites. I even like their strapless better than the worshipped Wacoal strapless. I’m telling you, these bras are the best.

Oh, and I’m like you. Smallish chest but not a particularly teeny tiny girl post-baby.

I am a very loyal Soma girl! (Granted, I’m on the opposite end of the chest size spectrum from you, but still.) Their bras are wonderful and comfortable, but what has really captured my loyalty is their customer service. The first time I shopped at Soma, I walked into the store and basically said, “I need serious help!” I told her what my problems were and what I was looking for, and the sweet woman spent over an hour with me. She measured me, helped me pick bras to try on, then taught me about the various fits and why certain bra styles worked better than others on my body. I’ve never needed that length of time since, but I have always found their employees to be kind and helpful (and never pushy)! I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I laughed so hard at the commentary about your boobs after you had two kids – and aside from the fact that I’m still nursing my second, I can totally relate. They are so……..deflated? Tired? Um…used? When I’m done nursing, I’m totally getting a professional fitting because my boobs deserve it!!

Reply

Yes! this is exactly how I feel. I’m nursing my second, and my boobs sure didn’t look like this after my first. They were bigger, fuller, and higher. Now, I show my husband how I need to ‘peg them up’ where they are supposed to be. Sigh. I’m definitely planning to get a proper fitting if I can find somewhere that does them (I’m currently in Turkey where they always just tell me to try a few different sizes).

I’m not loyal to a particular brand necessarily, but I am loyal to a particular store – Dillards. Their bra department is the BEST. They measure you, ask about your preferences, and stay with you while you try on bras to make sure you get the best fit. For a big-boobed girl like me it’s heaven sent! I’ve nursed two babies and “the girls” are not as perky as they used to be. They need to be hoisted, held, and contained. I spend some bucks on my bras but they last a long time. I’ve never had one try to stab me with an underwire either. A well fitting bra is the absolute foundation of a wardrobe. It is absolutely amazing what having a bra that fits properly will do for the fit of clothes!

Reply
Monica says · 06.23.16

This is so me! After nursing 2 kids for over 2 years, my once small but perky breasts are downright sad now. Strangely, Reddit has been the most helpful: https://m.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/beginners_guide. I used their bra size calculator (and discovered I’d been doing it all wrong!). I then ordered a bunch of bras from Amazon. I found some really great ones in my new “weird” size of 30D (I’d always bought 34A before) and returned the rest! Super easy and now I have bras that fit and flatter.

A topic so close to my small chested heart! I seem to have the same problems as you and so I’m devouring these comments. I was buying GAP t-shirt bras and just living awkwardly with that bulge on top because finding something better seemed impossible. I spent almost an hour in a fitting room recently and left in a sweaty huff with nothing. But, I did just pick up a Natori bra at Nordstrom Rack on a whim that I like. It has lace edging that makes it lay down flat. It’s pretty comfortable, but not the best. I’ll be looking into your suggestion and some of the others in the comments. Thanks for posting about this!

Kate, I’m tiny up top, and I love the Harper bra from Aerie (American Eagle’s intimates line). It has memory foam and is so comfortable! It’s a push-up (not over the top). I wear push-ups for the exact reason you described – just to round things out a little. I probably have 5 or 6 of that design alone. I also recently tried their Sunnie crossback. This one is just lightly lined, but I find it still creates a nice shape. Might even be comfier than the Harper! Good luck! I’ll have to look into the ones you raved about in the post.

I started wearing these when I was pregnant, then realized they were great for nursing too. But they are also great for non pregnant or nursing women. I’ve gotten them for all my friends and sisters as gifts and everyone is hooked. If I wear a “real” bra now, it feels super constricting and uncomfortable. I always see ads in the back of magazines for buy 2 get 1 free or $20 off or something along those lines, so its a great way to try them out!

I echo all the ladies recommending getting a bra fitting. Go to a store where the women are actually trained and certified (Nordstrom and Soma are great at Southpoint). I think you’ll be surprised. Getting the right band size is just as important as the right cup. I would definitely do that before ordering another bra online. Once you have your size, it gets easier. I still have to try them on first, though, because sometimes the shape or straps or something else is off.

I am a big fan of the Beautifully Cool Full Coverage Bra from Soma Intimates. Unfortunately it’s being discontinued though:( Soma is a great place for fittings and they stand behind their products. Great shop for adult women’s bras…unlike Victoria’s Secret that feels more tailored to younger women.

I totally recommend getting a bra fitting at Nordstrom. I’ve done it several times, but most recently because I was done nursing baby #2 and I felt like maybe I was going to need some surgery to stop from feeling sad about the state of things (<<true story!). But, I found the BEST bras for my shape in Spanx (Underwire Push Up Plunge) of all things. I had thought I might be down to an A cup after my babies, but I was a 32C! Somehow that made me feel better. I just wish they had bathing suits in the same exact style!

You should check out reddit.com/r/abrathatfits. There you can find out how to properly size yourself–a necessary skill, because, let me assure you, most ‘professional’ fitters don’t really know what they are doing and you’re probably *still* wearing the wrong size (I was–big time). Plus, you can better determine the actual shape of your breasts and find bras in the right size that are cut for your specific breast shape. Matching the size and shape of your bras to your breasts will make an unbelievable difference in bra fit/comfort! I can’t recommend that subreddit highly enough. It is a fantastic source of information.

Yeah I hate to be “that person” but I’m very skeptical that Kate is an A cup. That would mean there was only a one inch difference between the measurement around her underbust and the measurement around her actual bust so unless she’s wearing a big padded bra in all her pictures I don’t think that is accurate.

I’m really interested in the Third Love bras, but they don’t currently have a nursing bra. I desperately need a new bra, but I’m 31 weeks pregnant and planning to nurse. I just got a bonus at work, so Soma might be on my to do list this weekend to get a proper fit.

Thanks for the review on Third Love, I’m definitely going to give them a try once I’m out of the baby making season of life.

It’s like you were describing my own! 😛

I’ve also turned to Soma bras after having kids. I love mine that smooth the back fat!
Thanks for the post! I might have to give Thirdlove a try!

This post made me laugh, and it’s so relatable! I’m tiny in my chest area — NOTHING fits properly except sports bras. I’m going to check out Lulalu! 🙂

I’m currently breastfeeding my first baby and my oh my do the girls already look different! I was a huge Aerie fan prior to breastfeeding…but I’ve also heard of “The Little Bra Company” from my petite cupped friends…this may be the road I’m headed down lol!

Thank you for this post! I’m currently having the reverse issue. I’m pregnant and am in need of bras for my growing size. My sister has recommended Wacoal and says they are amazing! Plus, she shops for them at Belk and has a punch card. For every bra you get a stamp and then you either get a discount or free bra after so many purchases. So that’s a win win for me!

Please please do yourself a favor and get a fitting at Nordstrom – completely changed my thinking about bras and sizes! I’ve been able to take what I learned there and the brands recommended to shop at Nordstrom Rack and Calvin Klein outlets to find the same bras at lower prices! The ladies at Nordstrom are so understanding and helpful!

In your previous bra fitting post, you wrote that you bought a plain, nude one — what made it too “fancy”?

I feel you on the post baby…changes….I’m more loyal to VS now than I was before the child. I used to grab whatever was cute but now the go to is the body by Victoria pushup. I had always liked body by Victoria but they were a little plain. Since adding the push up line they’ve come a long way in making pretty mesh with utility. I am an odd size and the reason for my increased loyalty is I know that they have my size and it will fit well. That said my size does not come in all of the variations that they make but it’s a little better than seeing something cute only to find out it doesn’t come in my size and that brand only makes 2 options for me.

I loved this post! It a topic near and dear to girls’ hearts! I’ve nursed 4 babies and am left with really not much up top. I am a loyal SPANX girl. Brallelujah for life!! I tried one on at Dillards on a whim and loved it. That was 5 years ago. Now they are the only thing I wear! I typically buy on zulilly when they are on there. I tried a fitting at Soma and even purchased a bra the sales lady recommended, but it could not compare to my Spanx in comfort or fit and I had to return it. (But I do swear by their no-panty line panties!! Awesome!) The spanx bra smooths any back bulge and looks great under a t-shirt (always the test for sure!). I’m going to check out the reddit post for measuring myself 🙂

I’m not trying to say I know your body better than you do, but I guarantee you if you were to measure yourself properly, you are not an A cup! http://www.brasizecalculator.tk/ Check out this bra size calculator and for more info about properly fitting bras, check out the subreddit ABraThatFits ! https://www.reddit.com/r/abrathatfits

go to nordstrom!! i have been wearing the wrong size bra for years. I’ve been fitted at victoria secrets and hated both the bras i got there. the nordstrom’s fitters are so knowledgeable! i swore i wouldn’t wear anything but a push up bra, but they brought me a natori feathers bra to try, and i was so obsessed i bought it in 2 colors and the strapless version. go give nordstroms a try!!

I am really loyal to this Spanish brand called OYSHO. I’ve never bought a sock, a bikini, underwear, etc. that isn’t from there. They’re SO soft, and always so cute! In love with that brand!

Hi Kate – Just love that you’ve posted about bras! It is so challening! For years I have had great success with Soma! I just love their full coverage front and back and they hold up really well to washing! I even wear their bras during my boot camp workout (which I know you’ve recently taken a liking to).

I love love love ThirdLove!! I’m a 34D, but I swear their bras are the most comfortable things ever created. I have 4 now, I purchased the one o can try for a month, than I purchased one of their bra wardrobes that comes with 3 bras. I would caution you on the Featherlight one, as I purchased it and returned it (it gaped big time, worse than my VS bras!). I can’t wait for them to come out with more colors/styles! I do wish their strapless bra fit me, sadly it was tight and weird.

Oh I feel ya in the small breast department. I was a 30a pre kids. A 34c while pregnant with all 3. A 32c while nursing. And now I’m back to my lovely 30a (boo!!). I personally can’t stand underwire Bras. I hate them. But I’ve had some good success with The Little Bra company recently! They make some darn cute ones too! I’ve also had good success with finding bras that fit in the cup but not necessarily the band and having them altered (usually at Nordstrom).

I LOVE the Aubrie bra by Felina. Can be a little difficult to find, but it supports and lifts and reshapes my “partially deflated balloon” post-nursing-three-babies boobs. I also love the Victoria Secret VSX sports bras- the ones that zip in front. They keep my boobs in place when I exercise (no bouncing ANY direction) and are comfy. Great post and comments!

I love bras from Soma! The enhancing shape full coverage is my absolute favorite. Feels like a dream and helps to round things out without all the extra padding of a push-up bra.

I’m loving ThirdLove! I hope you retuned the bra you got from them that was the wrong size, they have a really good return policy! I found B 1/2 was the perfect size for me and ended up getting 4 of their bras. I like the T shirt ones the best, haven’t tried the push up version though. Bloomingdales also sells ThirdLove bras, after the first one I bought the rest of them there on sale and with an awesome coupon code! Good luck Kate!

You have to try Chantelle. They are perfect for small ones and they look amazing!

I’m all about cheap pullover bralettes with removable lining. I leave the lining in, for modesty, but they hold up in the wash much better if you remove them each time. They aren’t especially durable, but at $5- $15 each, I’ll never go back to standard, expensive bras with underwires from hell. I keep a couple of more traditional bras around for dressier occasions, but the bralettes are perfect for most days (note: t-shirts), and come in so many fun colors. I’m a 34 A/B, usually translates to a “small” in bralettes. I’m always comfortable, fully supported, and never have visible bra lines through my clothing. Try Target, Aerie, or local boutiques. Happy bra shopping!

I just ordered a third love bra- I’ve been wanting to try one for a while but was hesitant because I am currently pregnant with #2 and planning to nurse again. But… I really only have one every day bra and needed another. I’m really hoping they come out with nursing bras soon! Last time I used soma nursing bras which are very nice but a little more full coverage than I prefer. It is so hard to find an underwire nursing bra that isn’t full coverage.

Thank you so much for doing this post!!!! I am in pretty much the same boat.. Small chested to begin with and also nursed my daughter. I have also experienced the gapping issue you mentioned and it is so frustrating.. It’s so reassuring to know I’m not the only one who this has happened to!! Love that you are so open and honest, it’s so nice to feel connected to other women/mamas who go through the same things! 🙂

Thank you for posting this. I too went down to an A cup after nursing. Bummer. VS does not seem to carry my size in an “adult” version. They really seem like they are made for teenager bodies. I may have to try one of your suggestions, even though I hate they are so expensive.

I’ve been a loyal Vanity Fair fan for several years. After nursing 4 little ones, and being around a 34DD for many years, I love Vanity Fairs minimizer bra. Not only does it minimize the girls, it also points them forward and reduces underarm fat and back fat. They come in some really cute colors too.

I agree with other posters about the Wacoal strapless bra. I had to buy one for a bridesmaid dress when little #3 was 7 months old. That bra was AMAZING! Thankfully, it still fits so I was able to buy a super cute dress from Loft that definitely need a strapless bra.

I said goodbye to VS in college. They just didn’t cut it anymore.

I laughed so hard at your post. We started making bras from a class on Craftsy. It was so fun. We are still learning what fit is best for us but I would encourage you to try making your own.

I buy bras from Nordstrom because I live out in the country and they have free return shipping. Nordstrom carries the best bras.

I actually think learning to make your own bras with Beverly “the fairy bra-mother” on Craftsy is a game changer because she teaches beginners how to make amazing bras that look like ready-to-wear but can be altered to fit-Perfectly!

Hi Kate,

Here in The Netherlands (where I live) I only wear bras from Prima Donna or Marlies Dekkers. I have a D-cup or E, depending on the model, and find these very comfortable, quality bras. Somewhat expensive, but absolutely worth the money!

They last several years and you can put them in the washingmachine if you want too. In a washingbag of course, but they stay in shape wash after wash, because it is good quality.

After being properly measured a few years ago, I found I was a 34B when I had always been wearing a 36A. It made such a huge difference! Over the past 2 years I have swapped out all of my bras and panties for Soma brand and I am hooked! The material is so nice and the colors and patterns are so pretty. It has really helped my confidence knowing I have “good stuff” underneath.

This was a great read !I haven’t bought bras in years until a month or two ago when I was tired of adjusting my old bras and trying to figure out why they were digging into me. I was told for years after having my son by Aerie my bra size went back to pre pregnancy size. They have been measuring me wrong for years come to find out and after spending a ton of money on those said bras only to replace them literally a month or two later after going to VS and Nordstroms to get properly sized Aerie said 32 C and other 2 said 32 DD I’m very disappointed. I will say the most comfortable bras I have ever worn have come from the VS Body by Victoria collection both the Lounge bra and the unlined are fantastic. I get a lot of my bralettes from Aerie (they’re cute and afforable) but I will not buy bras there ever again.

Never used thirdlove bras but i will definitely try out one for sure. The first mistake we do is selecting the wrong size and making ourself uncomfortable.

Great post though 🙂 Enjoyed it
