We’ve had a really fun last few months together. David’s vocabulary has exploded, which is just the absolute best, and Luke is really becoming interactive and we’re starting to see a bit more of his personality shine through.

We are “go and do” people, so we don’t spend a lot of time sitting around the house. One of our favorite things to do together is go on a walk. Both boys love it, and we found a nearby school with a playground that we visit when school isn’t in session.

It’s a short walk from our house, and it’s really fun to have the entire park to ourselves. On this particular day we had unusually warm weather for this time of year.

Uppababy kindly gifted us with the new G-Link side by side umbrella stroller. It has a more even weight distribution than the Vista, given the current size of my boys, but I still use the Vista quite a bit as well. I’ve been happy with everything we’ve bought, or received, from Uppababy.

Sweet Lukie is so intense. I’m both excited and slightly terrified to see him becoming a mobile adolescent.

Both boys are generally happy and smiley. They have their rough days, or moments, too but we’ve had such a fun winter so far.

I’m looking forward to the weather warming up just a bit more so we can get outside and play! I hope to get a swing set for our backyard this spring and I’m sure we’ll use it a lot!

I highly recommend this play set. I have two under two and it has worked really well for our family. We have had it a year now and it is holding up well. We love the sandbox and picnic table!

You’re boys are so adorable! And that stroller looks amazing, I wish I could afford one! Lol! I could definitely use a double umbrella stroller right about now, my youngest is Luke’s age. πŸ™‚

Very fun!
Also, I have a question and I don’t mean it to come off negative at all. What is the difference between a sponsored post and a post where you mention products that were gifted? Are sponsored post pre-written or “okay’d” by the company? Or do you simply get compensated for posting whatever you want to about the product? Or are items gifted with the understanding that you don’t have to post about them… But you just feel obligated to as a “thank you” to the company? I totally believe you when you say it’s not sponsored, I just think clearing up those grey areas would save you a lot of flack from readers complaining in your comments section.

Hi Abby! Thanks for asking that question so respectfully. I’m happy to answer! Being a blogger, or influencer as we are now usually called, is an ever-changing industry so there isn’t a cut and dry answer to every question! For me, when I disclose that a post is sponsored, that typically means I was compensated to write about it, with direction from the company, in addition to recieving product. If I just make a note that the product was gifted, it’s just that–the company gifted the product but didn’t ask me to do anything about it. It’s up to me if I want to talk about it. This happens most with beauty products as I am on a number of media lists where I receive new launches of products, or limited edition products. This goes without saying, but I only accept campaigns for sponsored posts from brands I use and love.

Thanks for answering! That makes perfect sense. I read here religiously and always see the question come up. Enjoy that sweet family of yours!

Lovely little boys πŸ™‚ You’re very lucky to get the weather and spend some quality time with your family which is precious. Here, in the UK has been raining so much (we haven’t seen proper snow either) that’s a bit difficult to play out but where;s the will there’s a way πŸ™‚

Looks like hubby had on his Duke sweatshirt. GO DUKE! Can’t wait for the game tonight. The rest of my family (hubby and 2 teenage boys) are Tarheels – so it gets kinda rough!

I’m not a blogger, and just started reading this blog a few months ago. But I have a 2 year old, and wanted to get the word out that we have a Chicco Activ3 jogger, and had a horrible scenario last month where an elderly driver actually hit my son in the jogger while we were crossing the street. The bar across the front of the stroller shielded him from getting directly hit (she was not going fast) and the back wheel and left side were shattered but he was (miraculously) unharmed. Just something to think about for moms out there who jog. Since then, I’ve noticed that a lot of joggers (like the Bob) don’t have that bar across the front.
Your boys are adorable! and thank you for finally teaching me how to use bobby pins πŸ™‚

Your photos remind me of the days my sons were that young. Esp how your little guy is not wearing shoes. My two boys had such round feet that I let them go shoeless. It was not easy finding shoes to fit for such a short time in that stage. Thank you for sharing!

Oh my goodness. The picture of you and Luke is just adorable! He is your mini-me. Such cute boys, aren’t they the best?! I bought a Bob Duallie stroller, and as much as I love it for being able to stroll just about anywhere, I’m in the market for a smaller double stroller that I can just easily take out of my car and glide around the mall with. (2 under 2 club!)

Hi, I recently saw an instagram picture of one of your hairstyles and love it. I was wondering if you have a blog post on it that shows more pictures like the back or how you styled it. The instagram picture was from March 25th, 2013. https://www.instagram.com/p/XSrw4yvWMc/
Love your blog!

I love that Luke is just in socks. This is my life. I can’t find affordable shoes for my 10 month old who is almost walking. I found some adorable leather moccasins for $60. That was some sticker shock. I just can’t do it.

Random question πŸ™‚
How do your cats get along with the boys? I don’t think our first son (now 5) was gentle enough with ours, so now she purrs when she is near him, but takes off once he touches her at all! Of course, cats ARE crazy, so who knows!

I’ve been reading your blog since the early days, & while I don’t post much I want you to know how much I’ve loved watching you & your family grow. Who would have thought you’d be where you are now! All the travelling …. the vacations … the experiences … I definitely live vicariously through you. My boys are older now … 17 & 13 …. & just want to say …enjoy every minute they are young. My older once just totaled his car a few weeks ago & I remember thinking I wish they were still the ages when all they could drive was their Little Tykes Coupe! The days are sometimes long but the years go by quickly! Looking at colleges, wow. How did we get here so fast? πŸ™
