pattern mixing like a boss

a start from scratch tutorial

nail polish: Lucky Lucky Lavender by OPI

My mom bought this skirt for me as a gift and I absolutely love it. It’s navy, which is my go-to neutral other than grey. I don’t do black (often), so navy is as dark as it gets.

Anyway, I don’t know about you but when I see stripes I think polka dots. Actually, that’s a lie–but I’m  pretty sure I saw a mannequin at The Limited wearing this skirt with a polka dot top and I thought, “huh. I kinda see how that works.”

Also, this may be the first time you are seeing me in heels. I almost exclusively wear wedges. I’m trying to break out of my shell a little bit. That’s all. Breaking news, I know.

I kept it simply and only wore my Maya Brenner necklace as well as my favorite stacking rings. These are as delicate as it gets, and I love the rose, gold and silver combo.

This outfit is great! Lately, I’ve been wondering if I could get away with wearing my nude heels with black pants, and you answered the question! Also, I’m been looking for a polka dot top and this one is so cute! Thanks for sharing!

Super cute! I love how the neutral colors keep it from being over the top. Also, those stacking rings are darling.

Ok, you absolutely look adorable in everything, and I really like this combo you did, especially with the nude heels, now I want them too, and I NEVER wear heels!

I would of never thought to put those two patterns together but they look great. I love that skirt and Limited is one of my fav’s. I am going to Napa next month and might need to check that one out and see if it looks just as good on me. We have a similar body shape so I hope so!

I’m jealous, I still haven’t found the right piece to wear together like this. The prints I mean. Going shopping this weekend, hopefully I find what I am looking for.
