I picked up these teal(teal?blue?) shoes at Target a few weeks ago because I loved them.

But now I don’t really know what I’ll wear with them. They are a little bit more subtle with jeans, but I also thought they would be a great addition to this grey dress I have!

Love love love those shoes! I actually bought them, but took them back. They weren’t as comfortable as I had hoped.

That dress is adorable too! Great pairing 🙂 I think you’ll be able to do a lot with those shoes.

I bought those shoes too! It took me a couple of wears to feel like I had broken them in. I’ve been pairing them with this shirt from ON http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=72302&vid=1&pid=251984&scid=251984002. It has the same teal within the pattern. Love wearing them with dark denim jeans. So cute!

I bought those about four weeks ago and I’m obsessed! Teal shoes goes with more than people think. I’ve worn them with purple, coral, mustard yelllow, grey, black, chocolate brown, even red!….they are kind of a pseudo neutral:) Looks great with what you have on there!

I would wear a scarf that has teal in it(I think you have one from Old Navy that is teal with an elephant print?)I think that would be really cute with the grey dress you are wearing.

Reply
Kate says · 09.18.12

I thought about it but I didn’t want to be too “match-y”, you know? Maybe one with a slight teal accent!

Reply
Michelle Torres says · 09.18.12

I would wear the shoes as a color pop to a simple outfit of jeans and a white put down shirt. Let the shoes be the statement.

Hi Kate,
I started following your blog only yesterday (I think I found you through Pinterest). Am loving it so far. Thanks for introducing me to Threads and The Shine Project. I do something similar…on a much smaller scale. I make and sell jewelry and send all proceeds to an organization in India that works with slum kids.

Definitely the coral…a grey shirt with coral scarf and jeans or just a coral shirt with jeans or denim skirt and then the teal shoes. I planning to add teal shoes to my collection as soon as I find the right pair (I’m tall so have to be careful with wedges), but for now, I wear the coral and denim and add my turquoise Brighton bracelet for that splash of “teal”. Umm…by the way, YOU taught me all that! :}

I like wearing bright accessories with neutral clothes, like how you styled the look in this blog post. Buuuuut, I did hear that bright colorblocking is supposed to be “in” this fall, so you can probably wear it with more bright colors, too! 🙂 I’m planning to give it a whirl soon.

I love funky shoes (styles or colors). I think they are fun paired with the unexpected! I’d wear them with jeans and a red shirt!

I can’t ever get crown lift like you do in your hair pix. I’ve got a ton of hair though, and no amount of product or teasing gives me lift. womp womp 🙁

I have a pair of fabulous teal heels as well. I love wearing them with an all black outfit, including tights in the winter, with a teal scarf or necklace. Or, with a pair of skinny leg jeans and a jewel toned top.

tell me about the shoes…r they comfy? run small/large?

Reply
Amanda says · 09.18.12

For the fall, I would wear them with a mustard yellow color. There’s currently a mustard top with white polka dots at J-Crew Factory that would look great with them! Or you could do a black and white striped top with mustard colored skinny jeans or cropped pants. They’d also look great with the outfit you wore in the Simple Knot tutorial.

Cute outfit! I’ve recently bought two pairs of turquoise shoes — one pair of pumps and one pair of sandals — and both receive a lot of compliments. It’s such a great color, and I love how you paired it with the red scarf.

I buy a pile of plain shoe clips and then add all kinds of things that I clip on the front of my shoes. I could see big grey buttons on the front of those teal babies!

Reply
Melissa says · 09.19.12

I tried those shoes on just a few days ago, but decided to pass because I wasn’t sure how much I would wear them…totally regretting my decision right now!

I actually bought those shoes, too. My fave outfit to wear them with is black skinnies, a white buttondown, and my teal j crew bubble necklace and some gold bangles. Put your hair in a top knot, and you look endlessly chic.
