A *DRY* heat protector spray and a new liquid blush from Sephora that are making my beauty routine even better.

I unlocked a new level of hosting. Let me tell you what I did.

The NARS Liquid Blush was my first introduction to the beauty and perfection of a non-powder brush. I slowly started incorporating more cream products into the lineup, and hardly ever use a powder blush unless it’s on top of a cream or liquid blush to set it.

Listen, I’m not going to lie to you — it’s easy to apply too much of the original formula. And there are other cream/liquid blushes out there (like Rare Beauty Soft Pinch liquid blush) that can also be a little challenging to blend out to a nice, natural-looking finish.

I like a heavy blush application, so I don’t mind working with heavily pigmented blushes, but if you want the healthy glow of blush, love the ease of a liquid application, and want to skip applying highlighter because your cheeks are already radiant and dewy. . . then boy do I have a recommendation for you.

When I saw NARS had some new blushes, I had to try them. I got the shades “orgasm”, easily the most universally flattering shade of pink, and “brazen”, which is more of a coral pink. I’ve worn them individually, and I’ve layered them together, and I’ve found them to be such an easy-to-apply liquid blush!

While I was shopping for these, I also added a new dae *dry* heat protection spray with light hold into my cart. I love the idea of a dry hold spray that can be applied to second-day hairstyling for extra protection and shine that won’t weigh it down. The mist is super light and fine, and the smell is fresh and sweet.

I’ve used it a few times and found it to be extremely subtle, but that was the intention. The hold is soft enough to brush through, and I feel like it only added softness and shine to my hair without any negative side effects!

For this makeup look, I leaned into the watermelon shade in this super hydrating shiny lip product. There is no lip product that tastes as nice as YSL lip products. This Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick is such a perfect descriptor because it really feels like a nice glaze of gloss on the lips with a sheer wash of color. I have LOVED it. I wear the shade Flashing Rose.

I used a little squeeze tube of cream pigment for my lids, which can act as an eyeshadow base, a first color to the lids, or you could even strategically apply it as contour or blush depending on your coloring! I used the Danessa Myricks Colorfix Eye, Cheek, and Lip Cream in Nude 4 and a little goes a LONG way with this product.

I wanted to try this highly reviewed hydrating and brightening concealer, and I was blown away. It covered dark under eyes and dark spots, and didn’t move after it was blended out! It’s medium to full coverage, and a little goes a long way! I wear shade 4.

Your makeup is always so beautiful! I have such a hard time finding the right shades even if I go in person. Do you have any tips or strategies to picking the right shades?

You should consider pushing your hair up to bob length, would look spectacular…
