Impact Makers

Fall Style Mood

Look, I love makeup. I love trying new things and I love applying them, and I love wearing them. And if that isn’t you, that is perfectly fine and good, and I think you’ll like this post.

Sometimes you just want to make an impact with a few products. Maybe you don’t have time, or maybe you just want to simplify, but these are the 3 makeup products that deliver the biggest impact/change to the face.

Lip color: this is a non-negotiable for me. And, if I’m honest, it kills me to see women with a full face of makeup and no lip color. Or worse yet — DRY lips. There are just too many balms, sheer tints, or oils that are effortless to wear and that you can quickly swipe on. You can find a few of my favorite sheer pinks on this Reel, but I’d also personally recommend the Honest Beauty Tinted Lip Balm (I love dragon fruit!) or summer melon looks good too! I also have loved the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments for years, and find that Bloom or Rose are my favorite colors to wear.

Concealer: Even the tiniest bit of concealer under your eyes, whether your dark circles are intense or not, helps brighten up your entire face! It’s pretty amazing when you look at a before and after with the only product applied being a concealer. One of my favorites is the Nars Creamy Concealer, and I love it blended in with a beauty blender.

Blush: If you do nothing else to your face, add a touch of color to your cheeks. You could even keep it stupidly simple and apply the same product to your cheeks and lips. Like, swipe a bit of this $22 blush stick on your cheeks and lips, use your fingers to blend it out, and live your life.

Love this! Going back to a simple makeup look with these products is where I’m at! Especially in summer- that heat can be a killer for my makeup! Thanks for the recommendations for products too.

Over the last 2 years, and prompted by mandatory mask wearing, I have whittled down my basics to lip color and mascara. Eyeliner if I’m feeling like really glamming it up…lol.

I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to a full face of makeup again.

I love lip gloss but between teachiong and going between buildings and then working at a summer camp, I always forget to re-apply.

Can you share what brand/color the tint is that’s laying down in the front of the photo? The pink looks so fresh and I can’t find a product link!!

Thank you (:

Your post indicates there is a reel of these favorites, but sadly I don’t see a link to it? Would you mind sharing or pointing me to where I might find the reel. Thanks!

I am trying so hard to get into wearing a lip color (I’ve never done it before), but because I’m constantly drinking water or something else, I have to remember to reapply and bring the lip color with me and so usually I put it on once and then it’s gone! Going to have to try to remember to reapply.

I love the Rare Beauty blush in Happy. I wear it on my cheeks, eyes, and lips! Easy and so pretty!

Funny – dry lips here because I loathe the smell/taste of 99% of lip products.
