Spring Style: Shoes

I’m officially swamped with deadlines and this week felt like a marathon! I can honestly say that I love what I do, and I just need like 60-80 more work hours in the week to get done everything I want to get done!

How was your week? This is typically spring break time for those of us with school aged children, are you doing anything for spring break?

I’m starting to feel sad about Luke joining David at school next year (they will be at the same school, finally!) and so I’m really savoring the little time I have left of having them both home during the day. I’m so glad we have the summer together. The lack of summer break was one of the things we didn’t like about year-round school, which we tried for 1 academic year with David. While there are breaks throughout the year, it just felt like stop-start-stop-start-stop-start and it was hard for us to get into a rhythm.

Have you read my “Behind the Screens” posts? I have one more yet to share, but I’ve shared a little bit about how I started on this post, and then how I earn money on this post.

My favorite robe.

My top 10 hair products!

And here are a few things I mentioned on Instagram Stories that you may have missed:

Target two-piece swimsuit – I love the floral print!

Target braided sandals – so comfy.

Emily Lex Studio hydrangea print and new book!

Perler beads – these are what David has been working on for the past few weeks in his room!

Total Renewal Total Renewal Exfoliator by No7 – has good grit without being too tough on the skin.

Londontown Nail Lakur in “weekend cheers” – a fun, summery color. I know it’s March, but mentally I’m there!

Kopari coconut body scrub

Kyte Baby sleep sacks – All that Emily has slept in!

Elisabeth Ashley Ear Cuff

Half Baked Harvest books

Madewell Stovepipe jeans with Tencel – I just googled what Tencel is, it’s a very soft material made from plants!

Sephora Sun Safety Kit -a great price to explore so many different brands for SPF products.

I was wondering what made you change from the year-round school model back to the traditional schedule. With so many different models to choose from compared to when we were kids (and more on the way, because Covid), I’m always curious about how/why people choose what they do.

There will be a certain sweetness to the boys sharing school together. As an Autism sibling, my brother wasn’t ever in the same school as me, and I was always a little envious of the siblings who got to slyly wave to their brothers or sisters in the hallway (even though you knew they beat the snot out of each other once they got home!). They’ll enjoy their own special shared memories there, and I’m sure it’ll be fun to watch! I don’t want to rush my own kids growing up, but my daughter is already looking forward to sharing that experience in two years with my son.

Also, unrelated…..the color of that top in that picture is so great on you!

I am so glad that you were taking time when you need it. No guilt.
With that said I’m sitting on the edge of my chair, because I’m dying to know what lip color you have on in your last picture. LOL it’s always something isn’t it? That’s right and you wear it well

Love those ear cuffs. I tried to have an actual piercing, but it was always so tender because my hair would keep getting wrapped around it!

I saw some perler bead sets in the Target dollar spot this weekend. They must be making quite the comeback!

Do you think highlighters and bronzers are ok for mid 30 somethings? Want to get some new makeup to look fresh. But feel so lost Thanks!
