Spring Style: Bottoms

Image via Social Squares

We had the nicest weather week and that thrills me to my very core. Is it starting to warm up where you are? I’m looking forward to the doughnut class that my sister and I are attending today. I’m sure I’ll share what I can on stories, so be sure to follow along on Instagram.

I received the new flatware I ordered from Crate and Barrel and I LOVE IT. I had been browsing for weeks so it was really nice to finally pull the trigger and get new stuff! When I was searching I found a lot of options to not be dishwasher safe, so if you happen to be browsing for new flatware, make sure to check that detail.

It’s kind of wild to see the trees blooming again like they did last year. This weekend is essentially the 1 year anniversary of when our “stay at home” order began and I remember feeling really nervous and unsure about what was happening in the world. But despite the stress and worry, there were these beautiful pink trees blooming and I just appreciated them in a different way last year. The last year has been unlike any other, in so many ways, and I’m so hopeful that we will begin returning back to “normal” again soon.

Did you catch Caralyn and Candace’s denim styling? Read more about it here.

And here are a few things I mentioned on Instagram Stories that you may have missed:

If you are interested in being on the #SephoraSquad this year click HERE! Applications are now open!

Apple Watch Strap from Amazon – this is the one I wear the most!

YSL “Something About Coral” Lipstick – I love how bright this color is but it still feels casual since it’s a sheer finish!

Londontown Lakur nail polish in “Weekend Cheers” -such a pretty pink!

Bumble and Bumble Repair Styling Cream bond builder – Such a great option for keeping your hair strong.

Pink paradise long sleeve top – I must confess that I now own this top in 4 colors. I’m absolutely obsessed with it. I did end up sizing down to a small in the 3 additional colors I bought, but I still love my original shirt in the orchid purple shade!

MAC matte lipstick in “Please Me” – Another nice matte lipstick I find that wears longer than the YSL version!

Elizabeth Ashlie ear cuff – I love this little ear cuff! Such a fun addition to daily jewelry picks!

Smartless Podcast – Please listen to the George Clooney episode. You’ll laugh, I’m sure of it!

This week’s discount codes:

KiwiCo – 20% off with code KATE20!

Miranda Frye Jewelry: Use code smallthings10 for 10% off and free shipping.

Questions from Monday’s Question Box on Instagram Stories:

One. Have you tried any CBD skincare? I haven’t. I’m not necessarily against it, but I just haven’t tried it.

Two. Do you want more kids? We are really happy with 3 kids right now and at this time don’t have plans to add more.

Three. What is the best thing I can do for damaged hair? Deep conditioner very regularly, and lay off heat as much as possible!

Four. How do you get your concealer to stay put? The key for me is the right concealer paired with under-eye setting powder. These days I’ve been using Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer. And I really love the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes.

Five. Do you like living in Raleigh? Yes! I love living here. Truly. I hope we never move.

Six. What is the best anti-aging skin care product you’ve ever used? This is hard to answer because aging is natural and it’s really hard to fight it with products. However, you can help your skin look and operate its best by taking great care of it, and therefore it will look healthy and vibrant. No question, the best product I’ve used thus far is the Shani Darden Retinol Reform. More about that product here.

Is Tory Burch a sponsor? You have so many Tory Burch purses lately.

Thanks for the Kiwi Co link! We are going away with friends at the end of the month and just got two kits for the little kids to bring. We are staying at a rental house and figured if the kit has everything in it, it would be an easy activity if they get bored!
